Corgan puts his mapmaking skills to... well, good use. Mapping might be difficult, but copying a map is no major problem with a bit of time. With a map in hand, you've set yourselves up nicely to explore the depths. The only question left (unless someone has another) is which direction to head off in.
"The left," Lyssa announces decisively and starts in that direction, her glowing shield held up in preparation. She is eager to continue moving and to see her task completed.
"Keep the map updated as we progress, Corgan," she adds.
After only going to the left for several minutes, the mapping stops right at the entrance to an open area. In front of you, in a small cavern, are the remains of a village. Rubble lies strewn throughout, but one house still stands tall. Wind blows strong in here, despite it being surrounded by earth.
Lyssa pauses cautiously as the cavern opens up in front of them. The wind that blows despite being underground raises her suspicions, and her keen, brown eyes scan the scene before them. She is on high alert for any movement or, as far as an impossible underground cavern would reveal, anything out of place.
"We should make for that house. There might be someone there."
She braces herself against the wind, raising her shield to give herself a buffer against it.
Paying close attention, you can feel the wind coming from a tunnel on the far side of the cavern. The house is dark, but upon a close inspection, the building is decayed, if noticeably less so than its surroundings.
Staying by Lyssa's side with her own shield raised, Myr looks around at the decayed structures around them. Alert for movement, or perhaps a glint of reflected light indicating something to investigate.
Lyssa raises her calloused hand to point across the tavern to the tunnel on the other side.
"The wind is coming from there. It might be another exit from this cavern. Let's check it, and we can investigate that house on the way," she says, lowering her hand to point it out.
"Stay alert. Who knows what might be lurking in these ruins."
She sets her sights on the house and starts her way toward it. Her hand wraps tightly around the grip of her shield, keeping it firmly in place, while her other hand is close by the hilt of her longsword.
Before opening the door, Lyssa approaches it carefully and listens for the sounds of anything moving around inside. If she hears nothing, she we will attempt to open the door.
In front of her is a weird sight. Scattered around the room are pieces of armor, dented and rusted. A table, missing one leg, lies at an angle (vertically) in one corner of the room. A simple dresser lies on the floor. If something happened here, it certainly wasn't pretty.

OOC: Lyssa suggested one of the less-mapped paths since she thinks there's more chance it hasn't been looted. What do others think?
Good idea,, those won't have been picked over yet.

"............anybody got any potatoes? We could drop a potato in each hole an' see which ones get viciously mauled by horrible monsters?"

Myr says, "I agree as well. Any particular one you want to try first?"
"The left," Lyssa announces decisively and starts in that direction, her glowing shield held up in preparation. She is eager to continue moving and to see her task completed.
"Keep the map updated as we progress, Corgan," she adds.
"No problem."

Myr moves up beside her as the other front line fighter. "Then left it is!", she agrees.

You are able to reach the house's entrance safely. Do you go in, opening the front door?

Lyssa hears nothing, so she opens the door.

Lyssa steps carefully inside, watching where she places her feet so as not to disturb anything.
"What happened here?" she wonders aloud, getting closer to the armour to look for any signs of a scuffle on it.
Corgan shines his torch about the room cautious of threats.

Myr follows Lyssa into the room. "It looks like this room was ransacked long ago. I wonder if whoever did that found what they were looking for..."
The second each of you enters the room, a strange voice whispers in no language in your minds, "Leave..."
