OOC: (Sorry for the late response i've been busy, I intend to give it more attention now)
Thanadol at first looks fascinated and looks at it to learn more.
Then he bursts into action pulling free his wand and casting magic missiles 5 darts of force spring into existence and crash into the beast. 5 force x 5 darts = 25 force dmg.
Observation rolls Arcana: 25(crit) Perception: 22
The dice love me today! Maybe they wish to give me a good first turn in a while lol
Skritch you avoid the scorpions claw and bite into its armoured limb. Your teeth scrape against the hard shell but do not damage.
Dealuri you fire your bolt into the creatures eye, bursting it open to leave gore streaming down from the scorpions head.
Vakas another arrow bounces harmlessly from the scorpions shell as you duck back into the safety of the shadows.
Rachus you stagger back into the shadows the wretched poison surging through your veins. Ember runs to your side and offers an arm to keep you standing.
Thanadol you release your darts one after another into the scorpions damaged eye until with an almighty pop the creatures head explodes and it clatters down dead at your feet. You stand there in the aftermath of the battle pondering the bleeding corpse of the scorpion and the cavern beyond. (with a 25) you sense nothing of the arcane either in the beast or the cavern and (with a 22) you perceive the dim sunlight trickling through the exit opposite the party. You also note that Rachus is looking pretty rough.
While he does, he Messages Thanadol, "You are never, er, absent when it matters, dear friend. Thank you for disintegrating that monster. Many pups will live, thanks to you."
Vakas stands up and shoulders his bow, walking over and picking up the loose arrow that bounced off the creature’s carapace. “Ugh. Nasty thing. I thought we would scoot on by it, but … oh well. Rachus, you feeling okay? Which way from here?”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Dealuri can barely find the floor she is so excited that she got to use her magic and that everyone survived the encounter. With her head whipping around, she says, “First, my blast that missed but what a rush!. Then some shots that hit and went squish. And Scritch as a big furry thing. Very handsome, I might add. And Thanadol blowing it up somehow. WOW!” (Both rolls were 2 and she has -2 for Investigation so ended up with 0 - lol).
Ember speaks up then, "We should find my people and ask for their help in the battle to come. It is a day south of this place. From there we can head west to Kokras Tharn to stop this demon."
The exit to the cavern now lie unguarded ahead of you. It is now late afternoon.
Rachus breathing slows as healing energy knit back flesh and skin. "Thank you Skritch for the healing. That is a sound plan Ember. Let's continue South"
He rubs where the wound was happy to feel intact skin as he walks out into the afternoon sun and continues forward.
Vakas stretches as he gets up, a long sigh coming out of him. He slaps his thighs and convinces his muscles to wake up, saying “Ready to be on our way? Let’s head south!”

Staying in Large Giant Badger form (may as well!), Skritch will come over and Cure Wounds Rachus 24hp.
"You fought bravely vs our fearsomest foe," he mindtells Rachus.
"As did you all. I am proud to stand by your side against such daemons."
Dealuri will look around to see if there is any loot worth looting.
Skritch and Sunhill will help.
While he does, he Messages Thanadol, "You are never, er, absent when it matters, dear friend. Thank you for disintegrating that monster. Many pups will live, thanks to you."
Dealuri roll for investigation with advantage.

Thanadol nods resolutely. "I will never let you down in a time of need! Now... What shall we do next..."
Ember speaks up then, "We should find my people and ask for their help in the battle to come. It is a day south of this place. From there we can head west to Kokras Tharn to stop this demon."

"Is this cave a safe place to recover, before we head out?
"What with the ghost tomb and now this scaberous scorp, my casting powers are, er, much depleted..."
“Yes, a good rest would be great.” She has come down from her magic-high and shares the tiredness that others have.
Thanadol nods. Let us rest. It'll take me 4 hours and then I can lookout.
Rachus pauses in his steps and hunkers down for a rest as everyone is in need of some respite.
You all take a long rest in the cavern and emerge from the cave the next morning refreshed and ready for your journey.
Skritch roll a d20 please :)
