You all gather at the door, hearing the sounds of the ritual within, and without the roar of the great shadow beast grows ever closer.
"I will go back and seal the entrance against that thing!" Says Kineth as she shares a look with Vander and the two blue wizards race back toward the entrance to hold back the shadow beast if they are able. Their silent companion Gruda stays with you all.
Thanadol at the urging of your companions you charge headlong into the room, throwing caution to the wind. So sudden is your appearance that you are amongst the hulking kobolds before they can react and with a burst of thunderous power you release your attack.
The closest four creatures are struck by the wave of thunder:
Three of the creatures are thrown backward taking full damage while the fourth simply staggers back a step and snarls in your direction.
Dealuri you race in after Thanadol releasing an arrow at the nearest creature as the wizards spell sends it hurtling back toward you. You make it to Thanadols side panting with the effort ready to defend him.
Vakas you manage to close enough distance to release your deadly arrow from the shadows. It strikes the leader in the chest with a meaty thud. The wound is not fatal but it is grievous and the huge Kobold screams out in pain. It searches the room in vain for the source of its agony as you successfully duck back into the safety of the darkness.
OOC: I will give Rachus and Skritch a moment to respond before moving Gruda and retaliating :)
Skritch chugs his Potion of Speed (BA), runs 25' closer, casts Moonbeam on the nearest Kobold for 12 Radiant damage (DC 13 CON save for half), then moves another 25 closer (total 50), but behind a pillar, or other cover if there is such a thing.
Sunhill races into the lower right corner of the room and watches, crouched down.
Skritch you bring your sunbeam down into the form of the nearest Kobold and it screams out in pain. Con save 14
You hear the soft melody of a familiar tune tickle the back of your neck and your courage is strengthened as Rachus peeks through the open door giving you inspiration before ducking back out of sight.
The blue wizard Gruda enters the room and raises his arms toward the kobold leader. A bolt of lightning streaks across the room for 26 damage. Dex save 21
Thannadol's face creases in pain and concentration. He glares fire at the kobolds and begins to chant. The air cracks once more as a thunderous roar blasts the kobolds again Con save DC: 13. 18 thunder on fail, half on success
(OOC: Okay, with Skritch's low initiative the following may or may not be relevant once everyone else has taken their turns. However, if Initiative is not a factor here's what Skritchdoes...)
Firstly passes on his Heroic Inspiration to Thanadol because he already has one from a little while back that he's waitin to use (OOC: Passing on HI is a 2024 thing so if we can't do that in this campaign then I guess I'll just keep on having HI). (OOC edit: Just remembered that BI is different to HI so pls ignore this).
Then SkritchBA turns into a Lion (large).
He moves his Moonbeam (Magic action) back over the kobold it was burning before.
3 points of absolutely devastating radiant dam or 1 point of also devastating damage on a DC13 CON save - nb: on a fail shape-shifted characters have to resume their true form too. I mention it just in case...
Then, jazzed up on Speed potion, Skritch leaps out from behind the pillar as a massive lion and attacks the kobold that's on Thanadol, messaging Thanadol as he does, "Don't worry, good mage, it is, er, I, your boon companion, Skritch!" before making 2 REND attacks on the vile beastling that dares threaten his great and wise friend.
Dealuri defends against the first two attacks but the third gets through (7hp damage). Just as she realizes that she is doing at best an okay job at defending Thanandol, a giant lion jumps their direction. Hopping horned toads, what is that doing here?!?! Seeing Thanadol react calmly to this unexpected development and the beast react violently towards the kobolds, Dealuri decides she likes cats more than dogs. Yay, kitty! she yells cheerfully.
Since that they are in close quarters by a number of enemies, she makes the questionable decision that now is the time to try a new piece of magic. She concentrates her vision to the space between her two hands raised to the level of her golden shining eyes. The energy crackles in that space and then she throws the warbling energy ball towards the nearest threatening kobold. (Casts Chaos Bolt, attack 16, damage 15, damage type, psychic)
Vakas pops up from behind a ruined bench, training his bow on the leader (outlined in blue) again, he pulls the bow to its capacity and releases the arrow, targeting its head. The arrow crackles out of his hand as it streaks toward the target, infused with electricity from his ring. Afterwards, he ducks down behind the bench once again, hoping to take the targets out one by one, pulling another arrow as he hides.
Short bow : 22 to hit, for 7 points of piercing damage, 12 points of sneak attack damage, and 2 points of electrical damage.
Stealth to hide : 23

All of the Kobolds stagger in pain and two of them are sent flying backward taking the full force of the thunder damage. One of the two slams straight into the moon beam cast by scritch and howls out at the radiant light sears its flesh. (CON Save, I will use the damage from your roll)

Skritch you explode into a mass of fur and claws, using your wildshape to transform into a raging lion. Fixing your feline eyes on your chosen target you will your moonbeam to move and it slams into the Kobold with a searing impact. (CON Save)
The kobold attacking Gruda is at deaths door as it staggers over the blue wizard.
Skritch, with a roar you charge forward and deliver your rending attacks to one of the large Kobolds. The first scrapes harmlessly against armour while the second sinks deep into its scaly flesh and you feel its hot blood flow. (Give me an intimidation check as you try to get the kobolds attention with your roar).
Dealuri, tapping into your new found powers you release the Chaos Bolt toward the nearest Kobold, hitting it square in the face bringing it close to death. It snarls at you in desperate savagery as blood streams from its eyes, nose and ears.
Vakas your arrow sinks deep causing the Kobold leader to stagger forward, holding on to the lectern at its side to keep itself standing.
Rachus steps quietly into the room viewing the chaos. A number of the Kobolds are looking rough and a slow smile comes to his goblin features and he begins to sing a soothing lullaby. You all feel the magic of the sleep spell sweep across the chamber as two of the Kobolds drop to the ground unconscious. (5d8=15)
The ever silent Gruda looks back to Rachus and grins before drawing a wicked looking dagger from his robes and stooping to slit the throat of the Kobold at his feet.
Seeing this new threat the Kobold leader croaks out an order and on of the Kobolds race toward him, while the leader releases a powerful magical attack in the bards direction. (DEX Save DC 13)

A third turns and swipes for you Skritch Attack: 15 Damage: 8
At the top of the round the room begins to shake and you can hear the sound of beating wings coming from outside. Everyone make a Dex saving throw as loose masonry begins to drop from the ceiling.
Okay. First up Skritch'sIntimidation check was a 17 for distracting the kobold from Thanadol!
Secondly re the attack, not even the +2 to AC from the haste was enough to prevent the 5 hp damage, meaning Skritch had to make a concentration check. He got a 5 + 3 + 2 from Rachus'Bardic Inspiration die = 10, which is enough to keep my Moonbeam going.
And, as far as the falling debris, he got a DEX save of 19, so here's hoping that's enough (claws crossed!).
As to what Skritch does on his turn, he bonus action Healing Words Thanadolat second level for 14 hp.
Then he uses his Magic Action to drag the Moonbeam over as many of the kobolds as it can reach to end (if there's enough movement) on the big bad. FYI, the Moonbeam can travel 60 feet on my turn like this. It will do 16 radiant damage to each one it passes over (1/2 that on a DC 13 CON save).
Skritchwill use the second action granted by the Speed potion to do one lion attack on whichever kobold is closest who is also next to an ally (to get Lion's pack tactics advantage): TO HIT: 11 / 13 +5 = 18 >>> DAMAGE 8 + 3 = 11.
Vakas ducks and dodges and then darts around the falling bricks and tiles, pulling up his arrow and training it on the leader if he still stands, if not, the closest giant kobold near Thanadol and Skritch. He takes dead aim and lets the arrow fly.
Short bow : 8
However, with all of his ducking, dodging, darting, and diving, he wings the shot high, sailing overhead. He looks down at his bow with a "how could you.." look, and drops it, pulling out his wicked-looking dagger and short sword, heading toward the main kerfuffle with purpose and speed.

Thanadol, a chunk of stone strikes you a glancing blow for 4 damage.
Skritch (with a 17) the angry kobold is locked onto you and (with a 19) you dance out of the way of the falling debris with feline grace. Then focusing on your moonbeam you send it flying toward the kobold leader, enveloping it in the radiant blast. CON Save : 18 The Kobold raises its hands as if to ward of the spell but too late, your magic incinerates him where he stands, leaving only a pile of ash and burned gear in the ground.
With the unnatural speed granted by your potion you then swipe a claw toward the closest Kobold, cutting deep.
OOC: Unfortunately the spell does not allow you to strafe every kobold on the way as they would be majorly OP :) The creature needs to enter the moonbeam or start its turn in it.
Dealuri you barely escape the crushing weight of a huge chunk of stone as it plumets to the ground. Staggering back you fire your crossbow and hit the nearest kobold between the eyes dropping it to the ground dead. (OOC: remember if you are using a ranged attack in melee it should be at disadvantage :).
The leader now dead, Vakas you charge into the fray and Thanadol (you have a moment to act before the kobold avenge their leader)
