Gynugri snaps his fingers and creates a meowing sound of a cat using druidcraft attempting to gather attention from the captain.
Perhaps the effects of ale made her enter a drunken stupor combined with the exhausting travel to Chult, making her unresponsive to his previous question.
"Captain Ortimay, are you alright? You seem to look out of sorts. This might be a bad time asking you questions. Come, I'll help you get to your sleeping quarters."
Gynugri lends his shoulder for her lean on as he gives his assistance.
"Oh! Uh, sorry. Hmm... She said that she was good friends with Wakanga, and he is probably the biggest expert on magic here on Chult. She could probably get you an audience with him. Head to Goldenthrone, that's in the northern part of the city. That's where you can get an audience with a merchant prince."

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
"They might be at other Inns or places at the moment."
Nobody pipes in as he rejoins the group.
"We just need to ask around a bit... or actually, did we overlook where they might be in the post?"
(*hint hint nudge nudge* Was there any information like that Wooby?)
After pondering over that line of thought for a brief while, Nobody turns to the others and says a bit more.
"In any case, unless the rest of you feel like taking it easy for a while yet, I think there is still plenty of time to go talk the Prince, wouldn't you say? And while we're at it, maybe I stop by market board on the way out and see about some.... how do urchins say... 'Side action'? Ha! Such wonderous phrases."
Nobody looks to Ortimay with an apologetic smile.
"But of course, we still have the business of shares to discuss though, so... what will it be, Captain Ortimay? An even split between our group and yours of twelve hundred and fifty? Orrrrr, a game of chance to... improve favorable split for one side or the others? Not to undercut the effort of you and yours, mind you. But the former seems fair enough given the much more serious losses that might have accrued without our particular talents."
Gynugri answers one of Nobody's questions regarding the places to stay after gently moving Captain Ortimay to a comfortable location within the Thundering Lizard.
"From what the Harbormaster said, there's an inn called Kaya's House of Repose. The guides we're looking for might be there. While there's still time before sunset, I'll head to Goldenthrone and ask the merchant prince about the latest rumors regarding magical artifacts that can be found deep within the jungles of Chult. That should narrow our places of search.
Regarding the bounty, I trust Nobody can fully handle the situation. Besides, I'm not a goblin of merrymaking which this place seems to be built upon. Don't worry, I'll come back once I'm done with my task."
He finishes the rest of his ale before heading out to Goldenthrone's direction.
"I always have been a gambling woman! Sure, why not! How about a game of Devil's dice? You know how to play?"

Gynugri walks down the streets, asking around, and eventually makes his way to Goldenthrone.
On the way, he passes these places of interest in addition to the earlier places as you walk up temple hill towards Goldenthrone.
A temple that looks as if its roof is hovering above the building, isolated atop a rocky outcrop in the sea, only accessible by an elevated causeway.
A large, domed temple dedicated to Savras, the god of divination and the truth. Its large dome looks like a large, unblinking eye, staring upwards.
Several large villas, seemingly belonging to the merchant princes of Port Nyanzaru.
He finally finds his way to Goldenthrone, a large Amnian palace, one of the grandest buildings in Port Nyanzaru. It has a large, open set of double doors, a chultan honor guard posted on each side of the doors.

Gynurgri tries to remember these places and perhaps ask more information about them when he meet his employer.
Upon reaching his destination, Gynugri tries to fix his vagrant appearance as presentable as possible before walking to the posted guards of Goldenthrone, hoping to not be dismissed.
"Good afternoon honor guards. I am Gynugri, one of merchant Syndra's hired adventurers that came with her today. I am here on behalf of my team to seek an audience with Chult's merchant prince Wakanga O'Tamu."
Nobody appeared a little torn over missing the opportunity to go with the Goblin. But with a somewhat reluctant nod, he stayed, if only to play peacekeeper in the end. So, he sat back to keep a close eye, though would be ready to step out into the market as soon as the boat matter had been settled. If Gene pipes up about being a gambling bird himself, Nobody languidly raises a hand.
"Seeing as our dear friend Mel has been most agitated about this whole ordeal, let's leave it to him as far as the player to keep things even, eh? If nothing else, we can properly let bygones be bygones then."
He leans in after to whisper in Gene's ear canal(???).
"But keep a close eye though, my friend. On both of them, if you would."
Not wishing to elaborate further on that point, but having hopefully established Gene as Mel's wingman, Nobody will step out.
"All be back in a bit. Try to have, darlings."
He glances at the rowdy occupants already filling the Thundering Lizard.
"... But not too much fun."
Nobody, on that point, carries on out to the Market Place to find a Bulletin Board for side jobs. Annnnd if he just so happens to hear or see anything about Flying Monkeys, perhaps he takes a little longer to return.

A short Chultan man holding a clipboard looks up at Gynugri. Then he has to look down again. Because Gynugri is not up. He is down. Because he is short. In case that wasn't yet made apparent. Gynugri is a goblin. Goblins are short. Therefore, Gynugri is short.
"Yes, yes. He is currently busy at the moment. A woman came here a few minutes ago, requesting an audience. Syndra Silvane, I think her name was. She seemed to know him. I apologize, but it may be a while. I'll put your name down. What is your purpose for requesting an audience with the merchant prince?"
CUT TO THE THUNDERING LIZARD!
Mel got no idea what Devil's Dice is. Ortimay catches onto this, and begins to explain.
"Alright, so basically ACERERAK IS JUST TOO DAMN LAZY TO EXPLAIN READ THIS"
YES I REALIZE I JUST STOLE A REAL GAME BUT SHUT UP.
ALSO INSTEAD OF SCORING 10,000 TO WIN, EACH POINT IS 1 SILVER FROM THE REWARD!
Nobody easily finds the bulletin board, and there are a few papers posted on it.
One is from Zindar the harbormaster, offering a bounty for killing or capturing one of the three pirate captains that is attacking Chultan merchant ships.
Another is from Undril Silvertusk, a priest of Torm and a representative of the Order of the Gauntlet, looking for a group of adventurers to help escort her to Camp Vengeance. She offers her services to the party, and the good will of the Order of the Gauntlet.
Inete, a priest of Savras has received disturbing visions of red robed wizards in the Aldani Basin. She wishes to take a group of adventurers to investigate. She offers her services to the party, as well as an ample reward for their help from the temple of Savras.
Someone named Xandala wants the party's help finding her father, who was last seen entering the forest with a reptilian man who smells funny.
Lerek Dashlynd, an agent of the Lord's Alliance, will pay handsomely for a complete map of the jungles of Chult.
Also, Acererak is forgetful and forgot to mention Gynugri passing these places:
A boxy temple, which looks to be dedicated to Gond
A small marketplace where fine goods such as jewelry are being sold
A large marketplace, where nearly everything from flying monkeys to armor to spices to herbs is being sold.
The slum district, in which a large temple stands.
A lower class part of the city, with no walls. Pens full of dinosaurs can be spotted within.
A medium sized market where goods such as meat, vegetables, tropical fruit, tej, light tropical clothing, insect repellent, rain catchers, and other household goods are sold. Two inns can be spotted there. (This is where y'all are now)

"Yes, I'm with Syndra Silvane, wearing a silver mask and has raspy voice, the same merchant who employed our group that I told earlier. I'm here to ask information that would help with the task she gave us, particularly about the magical artifacts within the jungles of Chult.
Since I'm an acquaintance of Syndra, perhaps you could squeeze this small goblin during their meeting. It would save time for me and the merchant prince."
"Let's see now... That first one is pretty resolved. Though if come across another, we could perhaps expect more there... Silvertusk? Well, if that ain't a half-orc name, then I... Okay, that might've been a bit racist. Just gonna note to tone that one down when meet."
Nobody says as he takes out his book, and starts noting the information down. He could've probably taken it down as well, but he was not one to test an unspoken/unknown law of a new land if it could be helped.
"Priest of Savras wants to.... No... nono... They... Sure, they might interested, but..."
Nobody shakes his head, and carries on note taking with a much more troubled look about him.
"Huh... Well, at very least I suppose the coin can be spared for the effort. But I don't think anyone is a cartographer."
On that note, Nobody finishes his recording of all he could see, as well as any relevant underlying information on how to contact the appropriate party (Which if there isn't, someone REALLY needed to talk to posters in Chult about proper bulletin usage!). And then, its back inside the Thundering Lizard. Once inside, if Nobody sees the game still well underfoot, he makes a pit stop at the bar.
