Grugg notices the phallic shape of the mermaid with what look like heads swinging from where a barbarian's boulders would dangle and smiles briefly at the novel thought...then anger immediately wells from within the barbarian's core.

Grugg enters a Rage as he runs towards the nearest grappling hook, greataxe extended back with both hands, ready to deliver a fearsome swing to the unwitting pirate to come aboard next.

Eili takes a shot at the first pirate she sees that has not already been claimed by another party member.

(Hah!  I thought they were on their way over to our ship too, so I was prepping for it as fiercely as I could...now I'm a raging hulk ready to smash...at air.  lol.  Whatever you do, don't let me do any of the negotiating right now.  lol)

(@NBDM, bruuutal rolls! At least you rolled high on initiative!)

(@BobbyD, well, if one of them rolls higher initiative than you and boards, it will still be totally useful for you to have readied an action to smash something. Not sure what happens vis-a-vis rage if you ready an attack but don't get to use it and don't take damage before your actual turn though.)

(@DM - Yeah, I'd like to attack before my turn is over so my rage doesn't end, so if that means I need to throw a javelin, then I'm up for that!  Should I roll another Attack/Damage(this time with Dexterity and a Javelin)?)

(@BobbyD, IIRC, thrown weapons that double as melee still use strength when thrown if they don't have the finesse property)

Eili swiftly pulls out her bow and nocks an arrow. Backwards. In the rush she accidentally grabbed the arrow the wrong way, and as she pulls the bow back, the sharp tip neatly severs her bowstring in half. Grugg throws a javelin at a pirate, going straight over her head and into the deck. Kosadius waits, at the ready for any pirate that tries to leap onto the ship. The pirates begin to climb onto the ship. One pirate, a brute of a man, roars and leaps straight over the gap, swinging a greataxe at a sailor. It slams into the deck beside the sailor, who lets out a girlish scream and soils himself.

(Kosadius may make an attack using what I assumed was a prepared action.)

(If Grugg can get to a pirate, preferably the big one...)

Grugg, now furious at his pitiful javelin throw and eager to give his great axe a turn at redeeming his pride, charges the nearest pirate that's boarded their ship and attempts to cleave him neatly in half.

Attack with Great Axe:

"Well, that didn't work." Eili casts aside her bow, instead drawing her two swords and charging the boarding pirates.

Shortsword 1: 21 Damage: 6

Shortsword 2: 9 Damage: 4 (in the off chance the first attack kills a pirate, she'll make this second attack against a different one, if any are close enough)

Kosadius was waiting for anyone to come on over to their ship. At seeing that big fellow jump into the ship, he does not hesitate to attack the big fellow. Protecting the seaman is his main priority. " Leave this ship! before you fall before our might!" He says this in a deep and powerful voice. Swinging at the same time, trying to strike the big man with a blow and also trying to attract it's attention.

(@NBDM - Ouch on the bow...Looks like we're all off to a heroic start, eh?)

Without any weapons, Zandak shifts into his more beastial shape of a Hyena like creature. He chuckles a bit like a mad hyena, showing his great big white teeth. He extends his claws, lowers himself a bit, then leaps at the big man and will try to attack with his claws.

Zandak charges at the pirate, but overshoots it and ends up flying towards the end of the ship.

DEX SAVE!

Grugg chop at little man, but little man jump away. THAT MAKE GRUGG ANGRY! GRUGG KILL LITTLE MAN! RAAAAAAAAA!!!

Eili swings at the pirate. He deflects one blow, but the other one catches him in the leg, going deep. He is still standing.

The pirate near Grugg yells and runs toward Grugg, slashing, but Grugg neatly steps out of the way.

Eili's pirate clutches his leg and grits his teeth, swinging toward her. He catches her in the arm, doing 64 damage.

Zandak's pirate chuckles as Zandak flies right by him, and swings at a sailor, just missing him.

Kosadius slices into the Big Pirate, drawing blood, but the pirate just grins at him and raises his axe. He is about to bring it down when the first mate's sword slams into him, slashing him twice, as the first mate also drives a shortsword into him. The berserker groans, but is still standing.

The captain of the ship grins as he steps down from the wheel. He is a dark skinned, fat man wearing a coat studded with gems. His left eye seems to be completely red. He grins and raises a crossbow, firing at the first mate. The bolt goes straight by him and lodges itself in the mast.

Then Captain Ortimay leaps into the fray at Zandak's pirate, making short work of him with her scimitars.
