Recwyin - you take a break from rowing and open up your primeval senses to the world around you, and you are horrified at what you discover. There are aberations and friends and undead horrors in all directions. Above you, down in the water, beyond the cavern walls. A shiver runs down your spine.
**You're in the Underdark babeee. Also don't forget to tick off that spell slot**
You all travel along at a good pace (but not too fast), taking turns with the oars and watching for dangers in different directions. You have to continually twist and turn between the large stalagmites that poke up through the water's surface. The Darklake is really a maze of smaller lakes connected by canals and waterways. You are sometimes traveling through wide open large caverns and other times ducking down through narrow tunnels. The first few hours go by uneventful, Shuushar is offering directions, occasionally conferring with Stool.
After some time goes by some of you spot something hanging across the current cavern you are in. It appears to be a rope bridge hanging up close to the ceiling of the cave, with two shadowy figures standing on it.
Sut relays back to you Rhogar that there is a cave opening on either side of this cavern, high up on the walls. The rope bridge was connecting these two openings, but it looks like its been severed on both ends, but still remains attached to the stalactite supports up above. There are two short figures standing still on the bridge, watching your raft approach.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
How exposed are we? If you can drop them could they have friends nearby? With the high ground they may rain down on us and there isn't much cover on a raft.
Lucky says to the group, "Wait now. We can't just go attacking everything that we see. Let's prepare for battle, yet stay our blades until we confirm they are indeed our enemy."
Recwyin will call out to them. we see you and know you see us and while we will defend ourselves we bear no aggression to you. Who are you and what are you doing ?

***Can Sut tell if they are Drow or something else?***
**They're shorter and stouter then you'd expect a Drow to be.**
Rhogar will turn and say to the others, It looks like there are 2 creatures stuck on that bridge up there watching us.... you want me to Burn it down?

Recwyin looks for more in the opening 18
You are fairly exposed, and the direction that you are heading takes you underneath the bridge.
Lucky says to the group, "Wait now. We can't just go attacking everything that we see. Let's prepare for battle, yet stay our blades until we confirm they are indeed our enemy."
Garruk prepares Ice Knife in the event that the figures open hostilities, but heeds Lucky’s words for now.

Bow out Recwyin waits.
As your raft floats slowly towards the bridge you can make out the figures standing up in the darkness. They don't move as they watch you approach.
Lucky holds up both hands in an effort to signal that we mean no harm and shouts calmly, "Peace and parley!"
Recwyin will call out to them. we see you and know you see us and while we will defend ourselves we bear no aggression to you. Who are you and what are you doing ?
The two figures don't respond to you, you can see they're heads tracking your movement, their gaze locked on your raft, but they don't move or react.
As you get closer you see that they appear to be dwarves, but have dark grey skin.
Recwyin repeats his words in dwarvish.
Rhogar will yell up speaking goblin to the grey dwarves "Are you stuck up there?
They don't respond to you.
As you pass underneath they move from one side of the bridge to the other to continue watching you.
