Kyo sees Tony looking around frantically, "Tony, what's wrong? Calm down."
Tony grabs the scruff of Kyo’s neck and brings him close, “Oh, I’ll tell you what’s wrong! My little sister ain’t anywhere to be found after that little incident! So, I’m gonna need you to get in touch with your blue angel again, because he neglected to mention that she’d be any part of this!”

Amaruve picks up the medallion and hangs it around Prespicacious neck with a bearish grin. As the tumult of voices starts he turns toward the crowd with concern. Amaruve stands up on his hind legs and listens carefully. Drawing on Gaia's strength. The smell of fear, the anxious voices... (Perception: (3)27) is there direction? Does this mood sweep over the crowd like a wave rippling out? Is there somewhere that stands out as a center of this effect or somewhere that seems unaffected, or more hard hit? Is there someone playing a flute leading the children away?
Amaruve, you don't detect a pattern to the unrest in that sense. You immediately recognize that everyone calling out has the look of a parent, and they are looking down and around themselves. The missing people are children, then.
You also detect a coppery, ozone-like quality to the air that is IDENTICAL to the sensation you get when a gate appears.
Finally, you hear the hiss of steam far above your head. As you look up, you see something dark and metallic streak upwards into the darkness.
(There is one other thing I can give you, but you'll need to roll insight for that)
Amaruve, where are you guys? You haven't found a vantage point to see the horizon since you got to this place, and the torchlight has significantly reduced your visibility of the night sky.
The air is... thin and crisp. Almost like you're standing on a mountain? That metallic something in the sky above almost looked like a giant bird. You get the sense that you're very, very high up.
Amaruve roars up at the... vessel... in the sky. He realizes he is probably on the Plane of Air someone earlier had said as much. Amaruve was distracted at the time...
He can't fly, but a lot of people here can. He tries to draw attention upward.
(Are we at our full weight, or are we... Falling?)
The half-orc Captain of the Iron Guard pauses for half a beat as the great bear roars, but she only narrows her eyes and quickens her step in response. She is now within earshot.
No one notices the thing in the sky but you, Amaruve

Perspicacious and Amaruve are briefly surrounded by a halo of blue light, but they break free from the effects of the spell in the span of two heartbeats. The half-orc captain of the Iron Guard holsters her wand of paralysis. She considers them for a moment then nods decisively without breaking contact with her single red eye.
"Right. You lot have some explaining to do. Pronto. What in the name of Baghtru's old wrinkled balls did you conjure up here?"
A tall human male, possible a lieutenant, steps alongside her with a snape of his gray cloak. The half-orc bends slightly to allow him to whisper in her ear. She looks sharply around at the growing unrest surrounding the burnt circle of earth. "How many?" she growls. The human lieutenant shakes his head.
The captain slowly turns her head to you all, murder in her eye.
Tony marches over to the woman, stepping up on Amurave’s back, then his head to meet eyes with her, “Ey, Captain! You wanna explain to me why my sister, and at least ten other kids, just vanished from right under our noses! Because I need some answers here, and everyone seems to be clamming up!” Tony returns said glare.

With his clear and concise communication skills apparently lost on everyone here Amaruve takes the form of the Wild Hunt, standing upright as a man and points to the sky, "A ship." He looks up toward Tony now riding his shoulders and adds "Anyone fly?"

The captain narrows her eye at the goblin. "Well, if it isn't the Big Little. Why am I not surprised to see one of the Tonys mixed up in this?" She shakes her head, and violently snaps a order at her human lieutenant using some kind of hand speech. "I don't care what kind of story you have planned for the Praelet Judica, goon. This time I'm taking you in, and all your little friends, too."
When Amaruve shifts, The captain drops into a fighter's stance and a soulbound halberd appears instantly in her hand. It took her a moment for her brain to register that this bear just shapechanged and spoke to her, but... What can a half-orc do?
At Amaruve's warning, however, she looks up instantly. "What did you see, bear man? Was it a steam skipper? Have we been discovered? WHAT DO YOU KNOW, BEAR?!"
"I don't know why you need to yell, we just fought off some sort of smoke beast. You should be thanking us."Perspicacious turns to the aarakocra, and addresses him. "Sorry, I'm not sure I caught your name, but thank you for your help in killing that.. whatever it was. Do you know what's happening here?"
