"Too far anyway" Amaruve says trying to gauge the time needed to reach the portal. With a slight smirk he nods to Tony and Jean, then sniffs the air for Saggy's scent. (Survival/Perception: (3)19) and takes off in that direction.
Near as you can tell, his scent trail heads straight for the Solarium. By pure chance, the steam skippers and Taesn appear to lie directly between you and that structure.
Jean scooped up the blade and then exclaimed "Look! The skippers are between us and where we need to go! Lets grab them and Taesn, hopefully that'll make us quick enough to grab the kids and get where we need to go!"
"Yes, yes, Jean," Fiorello says as he jumps up, spreads his wings and speeds off toward Tæsn and the skippers. As he comes over the top of the elder he screeches, "Quickly, we need to get the skippers to the party so we can hurry after the children!"

It doesn't take long for the owlakocra to reach the eladrin and her ships. As Fiorello approaches them, he sees Kyo and Cordelia, as well. Cordelia is laid out on a soft pallet and Kyo's soft blue healing light envelopes them both.
The cat eyes Fiorello and waves off the question. "I'll explain later, bird. After that you can explain where you all have been for the last 36 hours."
Just then, the roof of the Solarium screeches to a halt. No longer rotating, an enormous something begins to rise from within it up into the air.
"What. The hell. Did you lot DO?!" Taesn says, one foot in Ariel's cockpit and her eyes glued to the horrible spectacle.
There's no time, so the skippers (carrying Kyo and Cordelia, as well) race back to the party's rooftop. The enormous structure continues to emerge from the Solarium. It's... an arm. It's the longest, most gargantuan arm in existence. It grabs the side of the solarium and begins to slooooowly lift the rest of its body as well.
As the skippers and birds fly Amaruve examines the fallen Burgee. (Medicine: (1)25)
He tries to protect his life suspecting his actions were not made of his own will, but also tries to glean clues of Sagacious' intent, power, and methods... Did Tony punch a hole to escape this guy's head?... No that's absurd.

As Fiorello flaps away to grab Taesn and bring the skippers around, the rest of the party watches the ongoing spectacle at the Solarium. Not so for Amaruve, though. As the great bear expertly assesses the kenku for damage, Burgee sits up with a start. His eyes are a clear burning blue; the milky white opacity of Sagacious' spell has left them. The bird bolts into a crouch and clutches either side of Amaruve's face, staring daggers as he demands, "DID HE DO IT?"
Then Burgee's back arches as one hand clutches at the knot behind his ear. He gasps in pain and falls back onto the floating disk. "The Gigantes- Did he awaken Porphyrion?!"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The air crackles as the great arm materializes from the solarium causing Fiorello to lose lift momentarily and he stalls and falls a short distance before regaining his composure. He looks down at Tæsn and the others, "Who... wh wh whooo... is that!?" he exclaims. "There were stories, but I thought them only that..." He continues back toward the group with the skippers as he turns over great tomes in his mind trying to recall lore of old for any beings that may be so large in a realm such as this. (History: 14)
Burgee stares in silence for several moments. His eyes close as the enormous arm begins to rise from the Solarium's now-open roof. "It's too late, then. He's completed the sacrifice, and this plane, too, will fall."
He looks at Amaruve again, and then he addresses the group. "He doesn't need me or my power anymore. For what it's worth, I thank you for your part in releasing me from Sagacious' thrall." He pauses, then asks, "Do you still have the Oar?"

You don't need to wrack your brain too much, Fiorello. The War, the great conflict that drove your forefathers from the prime material plane and into this plane of air and steam... Their artmagic culminated in the creation of the Gigantes, and the largest and most destructive of these was Porphyrion, the Skykiller. An engraving of the creature breaking the old world is carved into a mural in the Library on your island.
There shouldn't have been a way to transport that... beast... into this plane, but there it is. Suddenly, you understand far too much: The mysterious Stormwall. The children that have been disappearing, not just this week, but over these past few years... This Sagacious character has been using this place, Castle Laputa, to raise a giant for some awful purpose.
Tony grabs him by the feathers, “WIND THAT BACK, BUDDY! What. Sacrifice.”
Burgee looks away from the pinstriped goblin. "He... I was enthralled. You must understand- I've been Sagacious' slave for years, now. We've been leaping longer than you all. You just wound up in this plane faster in your relative scale than we did. We were part of a group: three Tower neophytes, Sagacious, and myself. I have an affinity with artifacts; we found the Oar, and I discovered that I could use it to wrest some semblance of control over the leap gates. For most of us, the leaps became almost exciting, then; an adventure. But Sagacious, he wanted more than adventure... He fancied himself a God." The kenku gestures to the enormous Porphyrion, who has begun to lift its head and torso out of the Solarium. "And now he is one."
He shakes his head and looks back to Tony. "But raising one of the Gigantes requires sacrifice. The children-" The kenku's voice breaks and he begins to weep, "I never wanted this. I tried to fight it. Tiny gods, I tried. Forgive me for what I have done."
The four skippers circle and land on your grassy roof. As they do, the incomprehensibly large form of Porphyrion begins to rise into a stand.
Brutus' cockpit opens and Kyo leaps down, a barely conscious and levitating Cordelia following him to rest gently upon the grass. The half-orc youth (that Tony darted a while ago) climbs down, as well, his eyes glued to Tony as he nervously shifts his feet.
Kyo looks exhausted. He instantly extends a paw to Cordelia's forehead and his healing light surrounds her.
"Reckon she's been like that for the last day, or so." Taesn says. "That 'Gacious fella really did a number on her." She looks at Fiorello, then at the giant rising into the sky. "I don't figure there's a chance in the endless blue yonder that thing will leave our people be if it wakes up all the way, priest." She turns to Perspicacious. "So. What are we gonna do about it?"
"Destroy it." Amaruve replies, as if any other options were the absurd ones.
He only hesitates a moment before climbing into the cockpit. He taps a little unrelated dial as if it's indicator made perfect sense to him, and nods. His tank is full again. He's ready to blast this thing. He shrinks down into a Baboon and takes his seat.
For ease of play, we'll say that Fiorello used his experience sharing ability to give you all piloting skillz once again.
Congrats! You can all use maneuvers and use weaponry in your steam skippers!
Position update, Taesn is flying solo in Ariel, Tony (pilot) and Fiorello (Gunner) are in Brutus, Perspicacious (pilot) and Amaruve (Gunner) are in Caspian, and Jean is both pilot and Gunner in Duncan (with both attacks and maneuvers possible for her each turn thanks to her fighter ability, I guess?
