After going down a couple dozen of steps, Handy and Chenna reaches a turn. The corridor is well-lit, and it turns to the left, to what seemed to be a corridor made from natural cavern. On front of them, is a wooden door with iron frame. The voice comes from inside.
"Is it-is it you? you-you are not a cultist right?"
The wooden door is locked. Looking at the lock, you determine that it can be only picked by anyone with a thieves' tools and proficiency with the tool.

Chenna keeps watch. As I understand then we came from upstairs and the only non-door path is to the left? Chenna inspects that hallway for traps and enemies and small animals. (perception/investigation: 4)
Chenna checks the natural corridor and tries to look for anything suspicious, but doesn't find anything unnatural about it.
Vortrin slams the door with power of his weapon and fire magic. The door is now broken and you can see the room is small and it has no light source inside. With the torch, you can see that a man is chained in the far corner of the room.
.. stays watching the corridor, but whispers to others heading into the room, "Hold on guys. Lets talk about this first. Be super careful, I don't like this at all. Check the walls and corners first before approaching him. Once you do, see if he has soiled himself - if not, he's not been here for long and might be faking. One of you be in the room, one at the door so that you can see what's going on both in the room and see me and see the path we came from as well."
Handy ignores the mans pleadings for the moment and searches the room: perception: 18"We are here to help you my good man, please be patient for another moment while we try to understand what is happening here. What is your name and how do you come to be here?"

He shouts up the stairs, "You heard that? I bet everyone did who have ears.. lets see how this goes."
He then listens for a long moment (perception check: 17)

==Handy=Half-Elf=Bard/Sorcerer==
Handy pulls out his new awesome Ring of the Ram and carefully points it. He is attempting to break the chains that hold the man prisoner (all 3 charges for a +15 strength check: 19)
He Then yells up toward Waft, "Waft, stop trying to burn us alive in here. Time to help a little I would say. Come in for gosh sake!"
Chenna tries to detect whether anyone moves hearing Booming Blade, but he doesn't listen any footsteps moving, but he can hear a rumble of stones of some kind from the cavern direction.
Waft continues to burn what can be burned in the building, a thick smoke is formed near the building and inside the basement, but it's not dangerous...yet.
Seeing no other option than breaking the chains, Handy utilizes the power of his newfound magic item: A spectral form of a ram's head appears in Handy's hand. He steadily directs the power, and the spectral ram burst through the chain easily! The iron breaks from the chain to the ring that is holding the man's hand.
"Oh! Thank you saviors, thank you. Who am I speaking to, if I may? You folks don't look like those city knights and I guess new cultist recruit would have been told to kill me. Mercenaries?"
You look for said explosive in the prison room but find nothing.
"Explosive? You mean the Dragon "eggs"? The actual dungeon they use to make those is located across the natural cave there. Let's go! My friend Sally is there!"
Waft help escort the imprisoned man with his group as they escape from the burning former prison building.
"So Luc, right? Now that you're free and still with the living thanks to us, I think it's within reason you explain why you were imprisoned in the first place and what you know about your former cult and your friend Sally."

Handy and Vortrin checks around to see whether there are possible hazard in the room nor in the corridor, but they find nothing out of ordinary.
"I am Luc, I was....one of them, but they don't want me anymore! Then they imprison me here! Whatever you looking here, I think I can help!"
Vortrin will attempt to smash the man's chains, using a powerful thunderclap to assist himself.
(Booming blade on the chains)
Attack roll if you need it: 5 Damage: 4, and I don't think the chain is going to be moving.
(Well, that's fantastic. Let me guess, I hit the guy instead?)

"Okay, okay, I'll stop burning the building."
Waft then enters nonchalantly as the smoke doesn't suffocate him for he can hold his breath indefinitely, the same as Aeros.
He then gives help to his fellow party members to locate the explosives inside the basement.
