(I have looked over old and optional rules about hitting the cover and I have some bad news)
Vespera's arrow seems to fly true, but a slight sag from Silver because of his drained strength puts him in its path. ( no sneak damage because it represents a totally different thing, but Silver takes an arrow in the shoulder for 5 piercing dmg)
The creature passed through the Dragonborn with its inky tendril, and chilled the monk. However, his honed training allowed him to reset his resolve. Silver, with MEP-RU assistance most likely, quickly calculated the beings strengths and weaknesses and determined that keeping the combatant occupied on him for the moment was the best course of action. The monk took up the defensive posture to counter the next attack. Action: dodge
(OOC: was out for the last week with the flu, thank you for your patience as I slowly recover.)
I know it’s been a while and some things were ruled upon and then retconned. Maybe a recap of how we all understand the situation is in order.
IMO, Silver entered the chamber and detected/was attacked by the shadow creature. Vespera and Manny were outside attacking across the threshold with range weapons. Manny’s comment about closing the door would be true if Silver was on the same side (which he isn’t).
Turn 1: Creature attacked Silver, missed. Vespera fired bow, missed. Manny cast EB, hit for 12 damage. Silver takes the dodge action.
What is anybody else’s interpretation of the situation? Adjustments/comments/corrections welcomed.
Manny had rolled a perception of 11. When asked if it was his or the Imp's he said it was his and proceeded to roll a 12 for the Imp. That is why I assumed Manny also goes in to search the empty room. Since Manny just stated that is not the case, the imp and Silver are in, Manny and Vespera are out.
I asked if you talk at all, because of this /quote/ - Manny's jaw drops as he realizes what just happened. If silver is out in the room with us, Manny closes the door as soon as possible.-/quote/
I realize that was before the ally hits were changed, hence why i asked yesterday, if there is any sort of communication between your characters ?
The dark shadow rearranges its misty shape and extends a portion of it towards Sivler once more. ( attack rolls 16 and 7 ). Silver is ready for it this time. He waits until the last moment and then his whole body mass shifts. His whole posture was a fake and a faint. ( the defensive action was successful and the attack of 7 fails ).
(You three again, since you are all acting before the shadow, can sync it any way you like)
{Just realized I had missed rolling initiative for Vespera}
Initiative 25 (Nat 20)
{Assuming that means Vespera goes first.}
Vespera was at a loss as to how to deal with a cloud of black smoke. But since what she had in hand was a bow, she tried shooting an arrow at it.
Attack 14 for 5 piercing damage + 1 sneak attack damage + vex (advantage on Vespera's next attack roll)

Here are your opponents attacks. Acting on initiative 5. Also, when you roll an attack against this foe, roll d% and if you get above 50 you miss.
Your opponent deals strength damage if you get hit.
Armor class 13. HP: 31
I have initiative 15, so I assume I am next?
Manny still using the door as a shield has a dot of energy leave his left fingers that are pointing at the smokey figure.
Attack 13 Force damage 12
The arrow that just hit Silver makes him flinch as you blast your enemy, causing you to blast Silver instead. ( 12 DMG to Silver )
Manny's jaw drops as he realizes what just happened. If silver is out in the room with us, Manny closes the door as soon as possible.
Incorporeality miss chance for Vespera: (if 50% or under, it counts) 53
Manny's blast does full damage since its force and 13 is enough to hit.
Vespera's arrow passes through the shadowy form without having any obvious effect.
Manny's blast seems to disjoint the shadowy forms' cohesion for a moment, but then it pussls itself together again.
OOC whose turn is next?
Silver posted that he will be away for a week. I dont see his init, but I am pretty sure he goes next then the enemy on the count of 5.
{OK, I'm in plenty of other games, no problem waiting a week for this one.}

ooc - do any of your characters actually talk / shout etc, because if not Manny will be going out closing the door etc.

I have lost the bubble, and not really sure how we left this, but I think this might be correct?

Manny sets himself, confirms there are no obstacles like party members in front and with energy from his left hand unleashes EB.
Game log rolls 20 Damage 11.
The Imp is out of the room with us.
