Down the alley: Neona, your strike puts a dent in the knee of the guard heading for Elery. He stops next to you and falls against the alley wall in pain.
Turning, you swing at the guard in front of you, but he jumps back away from the blade.
Luna lunges and latches onto the arm of the guard against the alley wall. He cries in pain as her powerful jaws compound chainmail and flesh.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Feeling cornered, due to the situation she got in after following Neona, Elery starts looking at her hand, thinking about that spell she never thought she would be using again. She focus, says the words needed to complete the spell, and raises her hand toward the guard that was the least damaged. "I'm sorry..." She attacks him with Chaos Bolt, trying not to hit any vital organs.
(No need to apologize! I’m sure you’ll find a way out.)
(I just wanted to say, I agree with the DM in this topic, you don't need to appologize... Conflict is part of the game. What I really meant to say is that such a decision might create some problems inside the party. Elery really doesn't like fighting anyone, so she isn't happy with Neona's decision, I just wanted to keep it clear. If you're fine with it, maybe I could show some of it IC? Elery's disappointment, I mean? If it makes you feel unconfortable, just warn me and I'll stop it/never do it in the first place. Whatever she says probably doesn't reflect my opinion, she thinks Neona's decision was a dumb one, me, though, I disagree with that statement. Your character thinks of herself as a fighter of sorts, so naturally, she will fight, that makes sense in my book.)
(I think all of us would appreciate it. With PbP we can't see any mannerisms, or hear a tone of voice, so it would certainly help to be more descriptive and flavorful. I dont think anyone would hold it against you. It's simply the nature of playing this way.)

(OOC: It doesn't make me uncomfortable, I just want to make sure I'm not stepping on anyone's toes. Happy to have spirited debates and arguments and be frenemies in character so long as I am not making enemies IRL :) Game on!)
(Okay. I just want you to know that my message was me taking an insurance that I'd not be the one stepping on your toes. It possibly could get awkward to do it without any warning, if you know what I mean by that.)
(OOC: reading over my backstory again I literally wrote that Neona is overly-confident to a fault and often oblivious to danger, so I guess I'm playing her correctly o.o')
As Elery's bolt bounds into one of the injured guardsmen, Neona's eyes widen. She flashes Elery a toothy grin.
Well struck, new friend!
Neona eyes both guards and prepares for them to retaliate against her.
First, love the role-playing. I’m glad you’re all on board. While you’re a part, that doesn’t mean there can’t be conflict. I love it.
Down the alley: Elery, the guard ducks your your bolt of force. It slams into the alley wall behind him and puts a dent in the plaster.
Despite the missed Chaos Bolt, both guards decide Neona is the biggest threat. They swing their swords at her nearly the same time, trying to catch her off balance. The injured guard misses his swing completely. The guard in front of you catches your chainmail again. Your shoulder is going to bruise, but you’re relatively unhurt.
Down the alley: Neona, you swing goes wide, but Luna brings the injured guard down. She crushes his arm and he passes out from the pain.
The single guard remaining in front of Neona gasps. You can see the look of fear in his face.
Elery, your fire bolt sails over the head of the guard still standing. It slams into the plaster wall, but it doesn’t catch and the flames dissipate.
Outnumbered and with spells flying, the last guard pulls back, trying to get away. He’s cautious to disengage while facing you. He doesn’t want to create an opening.
He pulls back 15 feet in the direction you came from, back toward the other group and the other guards.
"What if you say you walked us out the town and we call it a day? Probably you are right, and we do not get of here alive, but neither you if you don't let us leave now. And I guess that it's in your best interest to lie about it. I guess that the discipline methods of your employeer aren't pleaseant... "
Khinsrra, roll a persuasion check, with advantage for the words you used and after Therion’s intimidation.
Down the alley: Neona, the guard leaps over your attempt to sweep his legs.
He lands only to take Elery’s fire bolt in the chest. He’s slammed against the alley wall in a gout of flame. Smoldering and blackened, the guard sits still. His breath is labored and he’s groaning, but he’s alive. He’s not getting back up.
End initiative.
Elery and Neona, you stand in the alley, both guards down.
"Why did we have to fight them, though? Wouldn't it be better if we just played along and then tried to make our way back here through some other means?" Elery rubs her arm, while nervously looking at something that for her, and only for her, looks like a gruesome scene, two guards laying down in an alley incapacitated.
Neona pokes the guards and sees that they're still breathing, she tries to roll them into a comfortable position and starts bandaging their wounds. Her expression seems sad as she says,
It's my experience that violent men only respond with violence. You saw your friend back there, they meant to kill her. Likely planned the same for us.
