(Not really, but on my very first game, everyone was doing it, and I just followed on their footsteps. Now that I noticed that it wasn't common on this game, I decided to stop.)
"Don't tell me you took me literally when I said to ask Blackwood for money... What is important is, Seva doesn't have enough for you to ask more from her... If you want more, how about this? I will give all my share of the money for you, that's already double what you were going to get in the first place, sounds good to you? My family already has plenty, I won't be needing it that much..." Elery pauses her long rant, and looks down, trying to calm herself down, because at this point, she was really needing it.
Human friend, you stoke the fires of my heart, but let's not be promising shares of anything to anyone while we yet have work to be done to earn it hey?
Neona puts a hand on Elery's knee or whatever's easily accessible for someone of her comparable stature. She turns to Seva, trying to make a kind looking face but it just looks like she's baring her teeth at her.
I'm not here but for the strange foods, stranger company, and some good clean fun, so... can you tell us the way to this vault or no?
(OOC: this is only my 2nd week of PBP so I have no idea what the norms are.)
”That is certainly the truth. Seva, where is Blackwood? We should try to watch him, observe his habits. Like does he hunt? Obviously he drinks... haven’t met a tyrant who doesn’t. We could try poison... he will most certainly be well guarded all the time...”

“Lord Blackwood has taken over Lord Bryton’s Manor with his advisors,” she says. “Before I left, he spent much of his time there. His wife and children were there when I left, too. He and his men have set up a kind of outpost in Town Hall. That’s where he’ll meet with his Lieutenants to talk strategy or get status updates. And yes, he drinks. And whores. And anything else a rich Lord in power would do.”
Sure sure, the black bearded tree lord is a terrible man and must be cast out. But from where does his wealth and power come. To unseat a tyrant with so small a force as ours one must kill him by inches. If the vault is the thing that will give us advantage we know where it is and whether it is worth the risk. What say you Seva, do you know where it is and whether we can take it from them?
"Can you tell us anything about his Lieutenants? Do any of them stick out as particulaly cruel, or lazy, ambitious or really anything that sticks out."
The cat man is sitting in one corner of the room, surrounded by shadows, just listiening to the others arguments but not giving away his motivation to stay, for no one asks him.
He just let the conversation flow, listening to the different options the rest of the weird group that had come together offers. He, however tries to come back to one of the things that the others said, asking to Seva:
"You said he had wife and childrren with him? In the Mannor? Arre they bad perrsons too?"
Seva moves back across the room and sits against the wall.
“The vault is in the South mine,” the young woman says. She pulls her golden curls up into a bun and ties it. “In the quarry there are six main shafts: North, Northeast, East, West, Southeast, and South. I haven’t been down there since the initial discovery. I don’t know what Blackwood has setup there.
“His Lieutenants are made up of two of his bannermen and a Witch. Lord Reland is Blackwood’s second. He’s ruthless, cunning, and unforgiving. Everything an expanding Lord could need. Reland sits on much of Blackwood’s land. Because of that, the militia is mostly under his command. He’s also brilliant on the battlefield. It was Lord Reland that finally won the battle at Bradwall Bridge in the war.
“Lord Godfrey manages the logistics and supplies. If it’s passed to Blackwood’s men, Godfrey knows about it. He usually skins a little off the top. Just enough not to get noticed. I don’t know much about him, but he always seems to be well informed. Some say he has ties to several thieve’s guilds. I don’t know how true that is.
“Blackwood also keeps Cassia close at hand. The rumors say she’s a Witch from The Sisters of the Silver Star. I know next to nothing about her or her ‘Sisters’ other than the name. You’d have to do your own digging to find out more. But, she’s always with Lord Blackwood. Unlike Lord Reland or Lord Godfrey, Cassia stays with Blackwood in the Manor.”
Seva eyes Khinsrra after his comment. “I...don’t know. I’ve never met his family. He keeps them separated.
For those that wish, History/Religion/Int check DC 20 to know more about The Sisters of the Silver Star.
All of you have heard of (or can decided if you have) The Sisters of the Silver Star, but none of you (so far) knows any of the details on what they’re about or what they do. It might be worth investigating.
So, you have some general information, enough to have a broad discussion on the situation. What’s the plan? Feel free to discuss.
"Well let's avoid the Witch if we can... Don't need no curses laid upon us. Shits already difficult. I say we go for Godfrey. We can leverage some info on him and get some more."
