Vasha rushes to the window behind Cap. Seems like a risky thing, but now's the time for risks! Taking a few steps back, her arms swirl as her coin hums. Charging at the door, she unleashes a blast of wind behind her. The Gust gives her a bit of extra kick, and he releases another blast toward the ground, hoping to slow her fall.

Shroud, sensing there is no time to check the scene especially given Copper's mad dash, chases after Copper for a hot minute, before halting. Putting his hands into his pockets, he whistles and seems nonchalant as he takes roundabout ways until he finally approaches the front gates.
(Hold the scene for now until I know exactly how well Copper rolls.)
Cap laughs triumphantly as he dashes out the window and a propeller appears from within his body (which Cap, I leave it up to you to describe what that looks like). Without the guards on the alarm, it's no doubt easy for such a handsome, brave, intelligent, studious- eh?
Vasha leaps out the window after Cap, using a gust of wind to propel her forward. She realizes that, in fact, using gust to dampen the fall isn't at all reliable and would result in several broken body parts if not outright death. Instead, she shoots forward so far she grabs onto Cap's leg.
The woman fist pumps with her free hand as Cap starts spiraling downwards, possibly screaming? Doing the Warforged equivalent of crying? However, Vasha is able to somewhat slow the descent as she casts gusts several times over. It would appear this combination could let them glide over long distances, but Cap feels pretty uneasy about his ability to guide the glide since the extra weight was incredibly intense. Cap and Vasha find themselves in Middle Menthis - they are completely safe, but not necessarily able to help the other guys right now.

When Cap activates his glider thing, the back of his frame pops open, and six long, thin metal rods fold out of it, connected to each other by canvas. A large, but thin, metal ring is at the end of each rod, a small propeller within it. The rods spread out, and the canvas stretches, catching the wind. The propellers begin to spin, slowing Cap's fall more, and eventually stopping it, as they adjust slightly as he slowly hovers down. Then Vasha grabs onto him and his dramatic flight is ruined. Dammit Vasha.

Copper runs and runs. Finally, he is being chased by several guards, but they all seem to lack any sort of projectile weapons or spells. Finally, he reaches the front gate and his ticket to freedom. There are two guards there, so he decides to press his luck. He barrels past them, but not before they both take a swing at him with their swords!
Unless this knocks him dead, he keeps running all the way until he is in the clear!
Shroud mocks being shocked and scared as he sees this scene unfold. Finally, he manages to leave too. (Unless Copper is downed by this, then it's up to Shroud if he leaves Copper and Kinnik behind.)

Shroud waits for several minutes, but it doesn't seem anyone is coming. His instinct is to go back to the Gilded Lotus.
Inside the tavern, there are several regulars there drinking and/or gambling. Only about 10 of them anyway. Hopefully, with just them, the Lotus will be able to break even on rent today. Shroud finds his friends already there - Cap, Vasha, Copper, and a passed out Kinnik. Nav, one of Cap's friends, is treating Kinnik's wounds.
It isn't long before Kinnik's eyes flutter open. He seems alright for now. (healed for: 3)

Cap picks up the little bird and squashes him in a huge bear hug. Then he quickly apologizes and sets him down after the inevitable squawk of unbearable pain that follows.
"Heh... sorry."

Kinnik is tired. And sore- very sore. For the first time in a long time he has nothing to say, no part to play. He nearly died tonight and they have absolutely nothing to show for it. Nothing except...
He feebly waves Cap and Nav away, careful not to tear the stitches under his white linen wraps. With a long look at his warforged friend, Kinnik quietly passes over the green velvet bag he took from him in a bar weeks back. In it are a number of shining screws and bolts that the Kenku has "found" on and around Cap. Swinging his legs off the table, he moves lightly through the bar, hoping to avoid notice by his other friends (Stealth: 10). As he moves by copper, Kinnik slips the 19 sovereigns he lifted earlier into the shifter's pocket (sleight of hand: 14). The wallet and ID, however, he keeps for himself.
Assuming he doesn't attract attention, Kinnik makes his way back to his roost above the Lotus.
Seeing Kinnik head up to his 'room', Olen approaches the others.
"Are we calling it a night or does anyone want to make one last attempt at getting the info we need?"
Olen waves around the business card he found, with the professors address on it.
"We're obviously not the only third parties with an interest in the 'item'. If we can maybe get some info about its whereabouts, we might get that little head start we are going to need."
Olen looks between his friends, to see what their response will be.
"I believe they were talking about the university, Cap. My guess is that the good professor is at home, in...."
Olen reads the business card again.
"It says his home is in Northedge. We could head over there see if we can get into the place maybe."
"But it is getting late and Kinnik is definitely going to need some rest. I'm doing fine and could head out and have a look around the place, but do we just want to call it a night and get some rest, try again early in the morning?"
Vasha's form seems to have melted over a bar table when Olen approaches. Through the fog of smoke around her head and copious amounts of liquor in her system, she just barely realizes what's said, "S'pose it would be a good idea, yeah?" A dopey smile spreads across her face and she seems to have taken a fascination with studying one of her hands.
Olen's responses fall on muted ears, and Vasha moves to a window after his departure. In the night air, she spins little bouts of wind to dance with sparks popping from her fingertips. All the while, she stares in wonder, as though her hands were acting on their own to bleed magic into thin air.

Copper seems equally exhausted, having come within an inch of his life as well. he grunts in agreement with the plan to search for Daela at his home before dragging himself to his room to sleep.
How do you prepare? (PHB items are completely available to you for purchase. You can also attempt to steal things for your use, but depending on the quality of the item you could start this next encounter with less HP. Encounter doesn't necessarily mean combat.)
Any other questions?

"Oh my, I hope you gentlemen are alright. Trouble with some rowdy students?"

Olen heads back to the place everyone first prepared to approach the university, hopping to find the others there.
