Masters of Eothia 1-20

Crispy says nothing, and lowers her head, weary - and closes her eyes. She had so many questions.

Since I was a small child I was violently beaten by my father, my mother powerless to stop him. We ran away and my mother abandoned me. I lived on the streets and learned how to fight and survive and became feral, untamed, uncontrolled. One day the commander of a secret military society found me and took me in, trained me, refined me, civilized me. But the anger always remained. That's when I met you, Aerik. Once, in Waterdeep, we were partners, we were friends, we were family. You and I, we had an understanding, a connection, an unspoken bond. We worked together for years. You and I were a team.

Then I got you killed.

For over two thousands years I carried the guilt of your death on my shoulders. Each step closer in this..adventure, this mission, brings me closer to finding you, finding answers. I don't have much time left. Someone powerful is looking for me - the red headed paladin I see in my visions and dreams. I don't have much time. I am not afraid to die. I have lived long enough. I can't take the pain anymore. I'm just too tired. So very tired.

I escaped my father, I escaped my contract with Hell, and I will escape this world, too.

Ryu studies Cora expectantly while she internally monolouges.

Crispy startles out of her mental torment, and immediately becomes defensive, catching Ryu studying her.

"What the **** are you looking at." She says, eventually looking away.

Danica hid a smirk. "You were thinking loudly again, Cora."

She shot Dani a look. Decided to say nothing. 

Clearly now not comfortable at such a revelation, turns away with her arms folded, visibly annoyed. She rolls her eyes as a typical defense mechanism and remains quiet, trying to keep to herself.

"I await your response..." Ryu replies

"No." Crispy says.

He looks at the other members of the party, calmly.

Yasei is still visibly shaking, obviously taken aback by the previous encounter.  While Ryu is busy quizzing the team, she slips off to the side and begins gathering wood from the nearby dilapidated and rundown structures.  Building a large funeral pyre, she'll lay the body of the possessed (?) child inside the wood pile, and light it on fire.  Sitting down in a lotus position nearby, she'll pull out her daishō and lay the swords ceremoniously on the ground in front of her, and begin to silently pray, bowing down until her head touches the ground periodically (Religious Intensity: 10).

While Cora sits there in her shell, refusing to talk, Ryu watches Yasei wander off as if he doesn't exist and begin collecting wood.

Ryu stands there, looking at Dani and Rosli, a little in disbelief and shakes his head, visibly pissed and insulted.

"I don't know who you think I am, but I do not take kindly to being ignored. It is no mere feat that this duo is able to penetrate my mind. I am a champion disciple. Do you even comprehend what that means? I don't see why you are worthy of my time. Give me the list, if you found it. I'll handle this myself."

Danica spoke up. "Oh, we certainly found the list. I'm just trying to remember who has it and what was on it."

"He's... He's just a boy..." With a saddened look on her face still clutching the potion Rosli will look glance towards Ryu while not lifting her head "Give us some time to figure this out. The list we have only has like 4 things on it, it isn't even finished. Wouldn't it make more sense to stay with us if we already have one of them?"

"What you are talking about? Penetrating your mind..?"

"I was under mind control. When they were forced to leave, I was released from it."

Finally standing to full height looking a bit insulted "What's to say that won't happen to you again? So far we've saved you and acquired two items... what have you done?" Rosli will dust herself off and turn to return to the village "I'm going to let his family know what happened to him."

OOC: :|

Danica mentions what she remembers and then goes to help Rosli with the boy's body.

OOC: ummm, the boy is being burned by Yasei in the makeshift funeral pyre. 

OOC: Yup... he is so Rosli will just regular stop off, editing past comment.

OOC: Then Danica helps out and then stands in respectful silence as the body burns.

OOC: Hahaha such a string of awkward moments.

Ryu sighs and says "I just need to know that your hearts are in it. The hunter's guild appreciates your commitment towards the cause. My intention was to come here to help you..." He looks at the list.

He grins slightly and says "I can finish this list and show you where these items are rumoured to be."

Ryu lets you go on your way, and you return back to the makeshift village. People are moving around now, going about their business and look at you with a glint of hope in their eyes when they see you return. You're able to find Torgus in the town hall. He stands to greet you.

"Hail. How'd you fare?"
