Rosli will slash at the nearest beetle with her claws then try and stomp/kick at two more.

OOC: would you say that we all got a short rest on the first half of the current journey (while we were still riding our mounts)?  Yasei is down to 3 hit points, and desperately needs to heal herself. 

Haha sure, yep take a sr. Take the easy mode. No challenge at all. Go on Merli- nah I’m joking, that’s totally plausible.

Two bugs are smushed and hot lava like ooze spills out underfoot. Rosli steps and scratches at them while looking like she’s about to lose her balance and fall over at any moment..

You guys can just go in whichever order you like :)

Order: Bugs, Rosli, Watatsumi, Dani, Cora, Yasei, Bobo, Ruxio.

LOL! What a puss. Cora fights yuan-ti in a DRESS. Did you get a boo boo, Yasei? Break a nail?

Cora runs over to Rosli to assist her if needed, and uses the distraction to swing at the next closest beetle:

Main Attack: 9 Damage: 8
Offhand Attack: 19 Damage: 6
Sneak 5

Spending a luck point on Main Attack. Stupid nat1. New roll: 8

That's better.

Cora manages to slice two beetles up the middle, avoiding their molten blood as it's splattered in to the sand, crystalising it slightly. Only a few more to go!

From a place far away in space and time, a redhead snickers in her sleep as she remembers that fight. Here and now though, Danica moves up to Rosli's other side to take care of any remaining beetle assailants.

Splat, split, sploot! Three more taken down and the rest scurry off, now that their numbers have dropped.

Cora looks at her blades, and back to Dani’s fists, impressed..a brief moment wondering how someone could cause so much damage with their hands. She smiles and regroups with the other.

Coming out of her ready stance the wobble she was showing earlier will dissipate and Rosli will begin to watch and access Danica with a new curiosity. Adjusting and tightening her hand-wraps Rosli will take a spot near Danica in the group.

Yasei's healing snooze hit dice expenditure: 3 9

Ruxio immediately takes to one of the beetles with a skinning knife- a small blade with a finger hole in it to allow more finesse, and begins cutting open a beetle carefully.

”Harvested correctly, these beauties’ glands glow for another 2 days. Folks often bid on fresh ones if they’re about to head some place dark!”

He pulls two small, glowing red sacks and wraps them in cloth, bagging them. “Right. Shall we?” He says, motioning over towards the large tower. “So what made ya wanna leave the ol’ city, folks?” Ruxio asks, not having yet spotted Bobo duisgised exactly like the gnome.

Yasei dismounts her ankheg and in a flash of an attack, pulls her katana and wakizashi from their sayas, and it a smooth-as-liquid attack, slices both swords at a nearby dung, err, fire beetle:

Katana Attack: 14 Damage: 7

Attack: 17 Damage: 8

 OOC: Nat 1....sheeeeiiiiiiiiiite.  Yasei fumbles her "liquid" smooth attack, and her katana goes flying off 60 feet in the opposite direction.  Yasei screams out "Chikusho!!" after the fumble.

Watatsumi jumps off of Yasei's shoulder and begins to fly around the battle zone.  Peering down, she casts Mirror Image onto Rosli.  Suddenly, in place of Rosli appear four Roslis, vastly confusing the beetles!

Some of the beetle’s lava like blood spurts on to your arm as you (still) kill it, but you take 2 fire damage :(

What are you attacking, besides your foot? I thought we killed all the beetles? Or you're just attacking the flee'ers?

Taking a few out as they flee I think :)

OOC: Late to the game, apparently.  There were supposed to be 19 beetles attacking, so I figured there were some left for her to chop suey.

Yasei immediately runs off to go fetch her katana.

Having 4 clones of herself pop up Rosli will jump backwards and let out a nervous chuckle "Uhhh why is there 5 of me?"

"Because we didn't think one was enough!" Cora shouts out. "Now everyone gets a *****cat!"

Yasei returns shortly, puffing out of breath, her face the same color red as the beetles.  Under hear breath, she keeps exulting "Chikusho!!" over and over again.

A minute passes, and Watatsumi returns to his normal perch on Yasei's shoulder, and Rosli's clones blink out of existence.

"Aww.." Cora says, disappointed.
