You all head out the Eastern exit of the city. The Orcs up the top of the lookouts wave you through, equipped with longbows and Javelins.
I hope you have rags to cover yourselves from the sand because if not, it stings any bare skin you have exposed. It feels like when your limbs go to 'sleep' with the tingling of thousands of grains of sand peppering your body.
Roll a survival check. At adv if y'all wanna help each other out.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Cora sees the winds from a distance and does her best to find any scraps of clothing laying around and creates makeshift protection, helping Yasei or Dani should they need it.
All of you pick up on some sort of tracks in the sand, but it's Dani who confirms some definite markings of Ankhegs.
You all follow them out into the sea of sand. No notable horizon to be seen and the city now looks like a large shimmering cube of rust. As you climb the peaks of the dunes, you finally reach a crest and peer down into a naturally formed follow. Hard, cracked ground can be seen down the bottom of this dune and a small family of Ankhegs- three, two adults and a child are seen scraping at the ground.
If you'd like to determine what they're doing, roll a nature check. Otherwise, how do you proceed?

Yasei's uneducated nature check: 8
OOC: HOLY $%&#! That's a nat20 right there. We're on a roll!
OOC: With that roll, can Yasei tell which one is the male?
"The law of balance does not allow anyone to take the lion's share of nature's gifts. Beauty in face is accompanied by deformity in character. Intelligence is often uncombined with virtue. Spare the mother and child, and only take the male." she says, pointing to the male of the three.
"I don't understand most of the things you say." Cora stares at Yasei quizzically. She turns to the creatures and says, "Aww! It DOES look like they're teaching it something."
You scurry off the hill, down the side as to not disturb the potential targets. Rounding the bank, you think you can spot a small heard of ankheg's about 30 min treck out further into the desert. Around 4-6 of them.

Posting soon. I just found some orange chicken.
Nature: 10
Danica peered through the cloths on her face to see what the beasts were doing.
It looks like they're just scratching around at the ground slightly and communicating through gestures and clicks.

Yasei identifies a mother and father are attempting to show the little one how to burrow.
The male is slightly larger, with an abnormally large spur coming out from it's back plate.

Danica frowns slightly. "Perhaps we can check to see if there are any solitaires lacking family groups?"
That'll need a perception check :)
