For now, yes, but there's lots of City Watch on the bottom floor, and they're pathing the bottom floor and will eventually walk upstairs. Odds of staying hidden are very remote for an extended time.
Azrael would let his shoulders fall a bit before perking back up and doing what needed to be done before he was shuffled out. Not even speaking to the city guards. And as Immature as it was, if he had any time left on his illusion, he would use it to distract the 'cops' as he went to open the closet, making it make a long, drawn out wet-farting noise, as close to one of the officers as possible from his position just as he would reach the handle to open it up. (not sure who I found so I won't post assuming it's who we're looking for :P)

CHAPTER ONE - A FRIEND IN NEED PART FOUR - MYSTERY WAREHOUSE THE GREAT ILLUSIONARY SPHINCTER WHISTLE
AZRAEL: As your illusion exercises it's meat nozzle by ripping out the mother of all back-end, air tulip, cornholed clap of a fart, you open the door to find something you didn't expect. All the guards hear the one man salute, and immediately get distracted, including the guard who's starting to take a fancy to Lythril - ruining her seduction. The male investigator looks at Perkins with a look of disgust, as if she had done something like that before, and she stands up and in a move like she's about to knock his teeth out, says "That wasn't ME, you moron!" Then, the illusions wink out of existence, faithfully serving their purpose. "What th- Illusions? What the Hells is going ON here..?"
In the closet is a noble who was hiding. FC recognizes him as Renaer. He is unarmed and completely covered in grime and the lingering stench of rancid pickled herring. He breathes a heavy sigh of relief.
"My WORD." He says, all aristocratically, "I've been hiding out in here for two day waiting for those Kenku to leave!"
The guards and the two investigators are distracted by the thunder down under event your illusion pulled off to noticed Azrael just found someone VERY important.
Leon slid his quarter staff back into its holster before making his way to where Astrid and “Crispy” stood, his face scrunching up when Azrael opened the door to reveal someone he didn’t particularly know, assuming, he was kind of a big deal. The half elf pointed in the direction of the closet, looking at Crispy since she seemed like the leader of this whole thing.
”I think our friend found a person of interest.” Not our person of interest anyways, he thought, noticing that his features weren’t matching up to the one FC explained. “I think we ought to help in the effort, no? Considering we’re doing more than you all... No offense.”

FatCat will saunter up to Renaer, and lean in close. “What did you find out? Where did they take ‘I’m?” He asks, in a low, serious tone.
Gonna go for intimidation for this roll. FC is visibly not in the mood for being polite as it’s late and they’re on the trail of finding his friend. He’s all business. 18
CHAPTER ONE - A FRIEND IN NEED PART FOUR - MYSTERY WAREHOUSE OH NO YOU DI'INT..!
Perkins bristled visibly at Leon's words, her face curling into a look of shock and audacity. Her hand went to her blade. The other investigator, Aerik, stopped writing and held her shoulders all of the sudden - his face as if something terrible was about to happen. "Not worth it." He said, but to whom it was unclear. She resisted for a moment, her jaw tight, trying to read Leon's expression and doing her best to remain calm. Eventually, she turned to Dani, and she studied you for a moment, as if memorizing your face, your features. The stare from her blue eyes almost digging into your soul.
"Hmph." She grunted, relaxing. "At least this one has manners." Perkin's eyes went over to Azrael and Raenar. She looked at Aerik, and said, "Come on, this shit is boring and i'm thirsty. Alright. You wanna work together? You nutbag adventurer freaks can stay and snoopy snoop, and..talk to that random noble hiding in the closet?" She snorts a quick laugh, like this whole situation just sounded ridiculous. "Make sure you report what you find to the authorities. I could care less about gang fights, turf wars, or whatever the Hells is going on. Come on Aerik. Astrid, remember what I said." Perkins turns back to Dani one last time, her eyes moving from yours, to your chest, and back up to your eyes again, smirking like she had a dirty secret, but snapped out of it overcome by the urge for a drink.
With a quick nod of her head, everyone leaves, and within moments, it's completely quiet again.
FC: Ranaer explains that on the night of their abduction, Renaer was concerned that Floon was too intoxicated to find his way home by himself and offered to escort him from The Skewered Dragon. They were jumped by five Zhentarim thugs as they left Fillet Lane and headed north on Zastrow Street.
"I feel like this is a case of mistaken identity!" He whispers, "I feel guilty about it. I think they..mistook HIM for ME! You see, the Zhentarim think that my father embezzled a large amount of gold while he was Open Lord, and that he hid the dragons somewhere in the city. They think they can find it by using an artifact called the Stone of Golorr, which was in the hands of the Xanathar Guild until recently. Apparently, someone stole it. The Zhents thought I knew something about all of this, but I don’t. My father and I haven’t spoken in years.”
Azrael felt a twang of pity for the noble boy. Remembering now who he was, and how he had basically been abandoned by his family. Azrael would wait for FC to finish his own business, before interceding and asking his own question, as well as offering the boy somehting. I do not know if you will need it, but if you're down on your luck enough to need help with a roof, my Temple is always open to help those in need of a hand up. It's he said, explaining it's location and whom to talk to If you should require it. However One question remains then, if you were kidnapped by the Zhents, who I assume are now pinned against the wall dead, who did it? and how? and when? this may give us additional clues as we search.
Danitriel smirked slightly as she saw where Perkins' eyes lingered and made a mental note of it. However, when she heard Ranaer's statement she muttered something in Elvish about the Zhentarim that did not sound very complimentary at all. "Caught between the Zhentarim and the Xanathar should be the new 'rock and a hard place' in my opinion." She muttered.
"The Black Network did this to us two days ago as we were leaving the tavern. They took us here. The Zhents were ambushed by Xanathar's thugs, and it looks like the Kenku were here to kill any other Zhents that would be foolish enough to return here." Ranaer explains. "I intend to go back home. I've had enough adventure."
From this point on, it is safe to assume that Floon was kidnapped by the Xanathar Guild who mistook him for Renaer Neverember, and that he was taken to a hideout in the sewers. Follow the yellow arrows, one Kenku blurted out. Accessing the sewers would be very easy. There are grates on the roads in Waterdeep everywhere.
If you guys wish to rest up, you can take a short or long rest. And, Waterdeep has everything available in the PHB at the prices indicated. I have everything planned and are ready to move on when you guys are ready.
As Perkin’s turns her back, Leon sticks his tongue out playfully and quickly it’s gone as he hears Dani speak. Back to seriousness, he chided to himself.
”I feel like tonight is going to be a very fun night... Or few nights.” He shrugged and he turned to where FC and Azrael were, watching as FC loomed dangerously close to the nobleman. For now he simply listened to what they were conversing about.
”If we’re going down there I think we should gather ourselves and rest. Azrael, are you still hurt?”

Then realizing he would be a gold short, would ask those nearby if he could borrow one now to pay back later, as ultimately it would help them all down the line.

Danitriel flicked Azeael a gold dragon, the almost I-shaped coin spinning end over end. "Unfortunately, Healing potions are likely to be kinda pricey at the moment but I agree: Rest and shop."
