Azrael would chuckle a bit flatly saying I seem to be having several highs followed by several lows. I prove useful one moment, and useless another! as they exited the run down taphouse, glad to be outside of it. If not for our mission, this would almost be a tour through the town. Fat cat, you should really consider starting that up as a side business.
As Dantriel spoke however, he would throw in a few pearls of wisdom. During my training, and studies, I learned something that would seem obvious, and I'm sure has been said before in some variation. But pride comes before a fall, and those who expose themselves boldly, will put their own necks in the guillotine. Let them act openly, I say, it only makes it easier for Bahamut's Justice to find them.
His fingers moving in obvious religious motions as he says a little prayer that their group would be blessed with Bahamut's protection.
As they inevitably headed towards the warehouse, where Azrael fully expected some sort of ambush, or conflict to occor, as he'd heard too many plays in his rare free time where this sort of thing happened in stories of intrigue. he made sure his positioning was near, but not at the front, allowing, if possible, atleast one ahead of him and a few to the front-sides. He had a plan for his position, should a fight begin if and or when, negotiations broke down.
Instead of keeping this to himself however, he explained, On the off chance we do incur a fight, I have a cantrip that will allow me to pull someone towards me, and into the middle of our group here, with this positioning, which will benefit us in atleast one, if not two ways: One, We will single out someone who will be trapped between us all. Two, If he's important enough, we can use him as a bargaining chip against them.

In the commotion of the misadventure of the pub, Astrid weaved her way through the legs of the group walking over to the warehouse, trying to listen in to bits and pieces of everyone's conversations. Always listening, that one.
After a few minutes of snooping in, Astrid pulled the hood up of her cloak, suddenly remembering that she forgot to do that earlier (that would explain why everyone in the bar saw through her camoflage....dang red hair!). This time, she hoped to be a little more stealthy: (Stealth: 10).
Out of the mists swirling around your legs, you hear "Gawd dangit!" as Astrid stumbles and falls, dropping her daggers on the ground. The clanging noise makes everyone stop walking, and look down to see the embarassed gnome muttering to herself as she gropes around the ground for her dropped weapons. Picking them up, she stows them back inside her cloak, dusts her self off, and casually announces to the group "....I meant to do that!" with a sly grin.
the dead of evening, what sounds like a shelf of dishes falling over is Astrid dropping her daggers on the street. Hopefully, that didn't alert the whole block that an investigating adventuring party is approaching a suspicious warehouse. Butterfingers.
CHAPTER ONE - A FRIEND IN NEED PART FOUR - CANDLE LANE LETS SOLVE A MYSTERY SCOOBY DOO
The buildings on either side of Candle Lane are so tall and so tightly packed together that light touches the street only at highsun. Gloom envelops a narrow alley as dark as a dungeon — and as odorous as one, too. Nearly all the streetlamps have been smashed. The only light that pierces the darkness is a faint flickering from down the lane, like a distant candle. The flickering comes from the one streetlamp still intact on Candle Lane, kept alight by a what appears to be a spell. The flame doesn't look natural. A warehouse is directly across the street from the lamp, which illuminates a black winged snake painted above the door’s handle.
It appears to be a two-story warehouse. The warehouse stands at the back of an outer yard behind a high fence. The gate on the fence isn’t locked. The building’s three points of entry — a front door, a large warehouse loading door, and a painted-over window — are locked.
YOU GUYS ARE HERE ^^^^^^
The bottom left area of this map on the left is the first floor. You can see the gate's double doors where the dots are, a regular door on the north wall, a huge warehouse door on the east wall, and right next to it, a painted window that you can't see through.

How ironic, Leon thinks as they make their way down the alley, Candle Lane but only one candle illuminates the place. Leon looks the place over.
Aside from the one painted over window is there any other windows we can see? Are there any sounds coming from around them/in the building?

Seeing Astrid needing a hand, she picked her up and perched her on her left shoulder, gripping Warhammer in her right hand. Oh this one must work out. A bit like a firm roast on there.
”Are we trying to be sneaky? If I was in my real body we could be really sneaky.” The dwarf whispered.

“Good work, Pheral,” Leon praised quietly. Just because he couldn’t hear anyone in the building didn’t mean there wasn’t anyone inside. It didn’t hurt to be precautious. “We shouldn’t just mosey on inside, though. There could be traps at the door. A trip wire?”
They didn’t exactly know what they could be getting themselves into and the last thing they need is to attract any unwanted attention or upset a group of gang members and get a surprise attack.
“I don’t hear any activity from the building, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we’re in the clear. We need to be cautious.” He whispers to the group.

Upon first glance as the door opens, Pheral sees tables and chairs have been carelessly tossed across the floor. It's definitely a warehouse, and so far, it's quiet.
Before everyone would consider entering, Azrael would offer up another potential idea. Whispering only loud enough to be heard by the group
We can go in there with stealth, and if we really would like to avoid being caught off guard.. perhaps I can cast my Minor Illusion spell, and make it the voice of one of those city watchman, loud enough to attract attention to it, but away from us, and we can see just who or what is, or is not here and keep them from gettign the jump on us?
if most of the party would agree to this being a sound strategy, he would proceed.

Pheral nods her approval of the plan and full puts on her coat, reducing in theory how much noise she would make as the fabric is no longer hanging loose.

PHERAL: With skilled hands, and a soft CLICK, the door, which was locked, unlocks thanks to your tools.
LEON: The roll is good enough to tell you that there are no other entrances around the other sides of the building, and at the moment, all is quiet.
Too easy Pheral says to herself. She turns to the group and tells them looks like they left the front door unlocked. How odd. Well, shall we go in ?
