Ok. This next part is up to you. After this shipwreck scene … Manny’s family … caught out in the storm with no lighthouse? Or safe at home?
I feel that tragedy is a better drama/storyline then they all survived, so I assume 3 boats, 2 collide in the dark, other boat survives, and father/uncle/1-3 siblings all drown. 2 boats go under. Crippling but not completely devastating.
When I checked the inventory again, it looks like it's all things that could endure the test of time, especially if they were renewed as part of Harknail. Specifically, there weren't any multi thousand year old rations to try to feed to someone...
We're coming up to our very first encounter, gang.
The in-thread dice roller on DDB has always been a bit wonky for my tastes. The mouseovers are rarely correct and it makes it difficult for me to tell if the correct dice were rolled, the correct modifiers applied, etc. And then there's the issue of accidentally modifying a roll after you made it ... and getting the dreaded "This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results."
For this tale, as much as is possible, I would like to use the campaign roller attached to your sheets.
Also, as much as is possible ... I would like to use the first dice thrown ... even if we later determine that maybe a different skill applies or something. So like, if you rolled Int (arcana) and post your results ... and then later we figure out it should have been Int (nature) ... I will just do the mental math to add in the correct modifier and we move on with the tale.
What I don't want to see ... is each round that someone was deciding what to do ... they rolled six different things, and then picked one.
Can I assume that the shaman is 65 feet away from me? Can I assume I am still on the edge of the sinking ship? Or is the ship hit bottom and has stopped sinking?
If the ship is still slowly sinking can I assume it is stable enough to be a platform to shoot arrows from?
We are using 5’ squares. 65’ sounds about right, but I’m on my iPhone and the screen is super tiny.
Manny is standing in the surf, next to the large hole in the hull of the shipwreck.
For the purposes of this encounter, the ship is stable. The waves and the tide will certainly do a number on what’s left of the boat … but not during the next few moments while you guys sort out these scavengers.
Yuki, Harknail, and Manny have all acted out of order.
No need to adjust your declared actions, after I sum up the opponents’ actions I will work your declared actions into the summary and then Daisy may declare actions for this round.

I am confused on that, yuki and harknall had a 16 I had a 15.

The lizardfolk had rolled higher and hadn't taken their first turn yet.
SVA had said in the IC "Roll init! If you beat a 19, you may post your actions now."
OOC I know harknall goes before me. I want grab my rapier, and my shield, can I do both?
Equipping and unequipping weapons in 5.5E is very forgiving. Equipping a weapon includes drawing it from a sheath or picking it up. Unequipping a weapon includes sheathing, stowing, or dropping it. You equip/unequip once per attack made when you declare the attack action. Outside of that, you also get one free item interaction per round.
Donning a shield is a bit different. It takes an action to don or doff.
The answer is yes, but doing as you have asked will take Manny's action (don shield) and free item interaction (unequip short bow). Then, in a later round, when he is able to attack, he can draw the rapier and attack.
Without the shield, it becomes easier. Free item interaction (unequip shortbow), and attack with rapier (equipping it as part of the attack).

Should I post Harknail climbing on deck?
No. Now that everyone has had a chance to post (albeit just flashbacks), I’ll bump the scene ahead and kick this thing in the pants.
It’s all about to go sideways, and Harknail will be introduced as a part of that upcoming craziness.
On Rolling
We're coming up to our very first encounter, gang.

@Harknail, @Yuki, Your init is tied at 16. Which of you goes before the other?
I suggest @Yuki going first. Harknail hasn't acted in a VERY long time, so it make sense he would be a bit slow to get moving.
OK I'll go first.
Through all the multiverse, I am The Singulairity.
I’ll sum up the opponents’ actions in a bit.
Yuki, Harknail, and Manny have all acted out of order.
No need to adjust your declared actions, after I sum up the opponents’ actions I will work your declared actions into the summary and then Daisy may declare actions for this round.
Stuck on my laptop for this IC update, gang. I usually have a different way of summing up the round that is easier to decipher who did what and when.
Yes. Harknail may attempt to dislodge the stone each round.
I am confused on that, yuki and harknall had a 16 I had a 15.
The lizardfolk had rolled higher and hadn't taken their first turn yet.
SVA had said in the IC "Roll init! If you beat a 19, you may post your actions now."
I remembered that after you pointed out we acted out of turn. No harm done 🙂
They acted out of order as well. The lizardfolk had rolled a 19 for init and had not acted yet.
Harknail has not donned his shield yet. That will take an action if you would like to do it.

Without the shield, it becomes easier. Free item interaction (unequip shortbow), and attack with rapier (equipping it as part of the attack).
To clarify: In this round, Manny was able to unequip his shortbow, equip his rapier, and attack. He was not able to don his shield during this round.
More importantly ... the results included in the IC post were not rolled in the campaign log (and they were not made with the dice roller).
Moving forward, all rolls used in this game need to be made in a way that I can see them.
