Watching #7 getting too close, Ladrian points his crossbow to him and shoots:
Attack: 18 Damage: 11
He then turns his head to Rixton and shouts: "Retreat! Fall back! They won't be able to run as much as our horses!"he says spurring his horse north as much as he can.
The barbarian facing me is overconfident. I examine him for a tell.
Bonus action: Insightful fighting - 21 (contested by the barbarian's deception roll)
Satisfied that I have a sense of where to strike, I activate my Clockwork Amulet and feel the world snap into focus. I can see how actions lead to reactions in predictable fashion. Now I know when to strike. At the proper moment, I slash with my short sword (+1).
Short sword attack: 16 Damage: 7
If the barbarian fails its deception roll against me, add sneak attack damage of 6.
Then I withdraw from the barbarian (to F10). (If the barbarian takes an opportunity attack, Rixton will use his reaction for defensive duelist to add 2 to his AC.)
Rixton's attack mortally wounds the barbarian. With a faint gasp, he falls to his knees, leaning on his spear for a moment, before collapsing in the snow. Ladrian's shot is aimed perfectly, dropping the barbarian (#7) immediately.
(Vigan's round 2 action remains; to be followed by barbarians 1, 5, and 11, and the shaman)
Some retreat this is...the goliath grumbles as he watches the skirmish unfold below him. He steers his horse towards Andor, and launches a javelin at the Uthgardt closest to him (#2). Guiding Nyx with his legs, he retreats between a gap in the peaks of the hills, and down to the brush lining the valley north of where his companions are fending off the Uthgardt.
"This way!", he bellows at the others.
Attack: 8
Damage: 10
Move to the SE corner of C7 (30ft), throw javelin as action, and retreat to G3 (80ft).
The remaining barbarians dash through the snow, seemingly unphased by the fact that two of their fellow tribe members have fallen. The shaman moves to his left and fires another arrow from his shortbow. Ladrian is his target this time...
Continuing to retreat whilst giving cover fire Andor once again targets the two closest barbarians with another surge if his inner power. Pulling on his horses reins he moves up to the highest point in range to get as good a view as possible.
Andor, standing atop the highest portion of the hill, sends two blasts of white light at the approaching barbarians. Barbarian #10, having been struck once before, is unable to endure a second blast of cold from the sorcerer. He stumbles momentarily before falling head first into a drift of snow. Barbarian #2 is struck by Andor's spell as well; his movement up the hill is further impeded by the effects of the spell.
Barbarian 4 charges forward 30' and heaves his spear at Ladrian, the closest foe...

Carrow
Seeing the barbarian directly Infront fall the ranger moves to G8 turning he strings an arrow for the first time in this skirmish and aims directly at barbarian 3.
Carrow's shot narrowly misses the targeted barbarian, who then responds by moving north and throwing his spear at Ladrian...
Ranged spear attack:21| Piercing damage:5
Barbarian 2--who was just stung by Andor's attack--moves to the east and crouches behind a high point on the hill. Barbarian 6 dashes along the hillside to the east, apparently in an attempt to flank the group, and barbarian 12 slinks along the hillside to the west, bringing himself within range of Rixton, at whom he throws his spear...
Ranged spear attack:5| Piercing damage:6
(Round 3 actions for Rixton, Ladrian, and Vigan are next; to be followed by barbarians 1, 5, 11, and the shaman)
Pierced twice by the two of the three attacks, a mask of pain covers Ladrian's very white face "Damn it, I'm losing a lot of blood"he says looking down at his previous wounds and the new ones.
Still he picks his crossbow and shoots at #6 Attack: 13 Damage: 7
With his bonus action he casts Help onto Rixton (from his Master of Tactics)
A spear lodges into the ground next to me, alerting me to the barbarian trying to sneak up on my flank. I ignore him for a moment and size up the one in front of me first.
Bonus action: Insightful Fighting (Insight: 7, contested by the barbarian's deception roll)
Finding what looks like a weakness in his non-dominant hand, I side-step and swipe at him with my short sword (+1):
Short Sword Attack (with advantage): Attack: 19 Damage: 9
If insightful fighting is successful, add 6 to damage.
Move to H8, using Defensive Duelist to increase AC by 2 for melee attacks as a reaction if necessary.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vigan
The goliath dismounts his horse, and drapes the reins over the brush next to Nyx. "You going to regret making me get off my horse!", he shouts to the south. "Who's first?"
Moving south towards the Uthgardt, Vigan spies a lone enemy to his southeast (#6). Hefting his javelin over his shoulder, he launches it towards the barbarian, despite the distance between them.
Rixton reads his enemy perfectly and with one swing of his shortsword slays the barbarian.
Vigan dismounts and hurls his javelin across the open space between the two eastern hills. The goliath's weapon strikes barbarian 6 squarely in the midsection. The two quick ranged attacks from Ladrian and Vigan are more than sufficient to bring an end to the barbarian, who tumbles lifelessly down the side of the hill.
Seeing five of his tribe members fall in a matter of seconds, the barbarian shaman bellows something in Bothii--something that seems to indicate he desires for his men to retreat. Three of the barbarians (1, 5, and 11) begin to fall back.
(Round 3 concludes. Andor may take his round 4 action)
Cautiously scanning the battlefield Andor knows that one of the barbarians he injured is still nearby, calling out "I suggest you do them same, run while you can." readying a spark of power he stands ready to blast anyone coming closer.
Ready action to cast Ray of Frost if any barbarians advance within range and line of sight.

Carrow
A low growl comes from the Half-Orc as he sees Ladrians loss of blood, a frustration builds lending itself to his desire to fight, looking to Ladrian and back to the Barbarians he can see them now beginning to withdraw and decides to take his chance before the Shaman slips away.
After Carrow's shot sails over the head of the shaman, the remaining barbarians retreat, forming nearly a straight line to the south of the adventurers.
"Well, it looks like they figured out our tactic here. Time to change things up," I say. "Let's see how they feel about their fallen."
I walk over to the barbarian I last felled (at F11) and pull one of his adornments off (a necklace, bracelet, whatever I find). I hold it high and look into the eyes of the barbarians who retreated, then into the eyes of the shaman. "You have not even paid for two horses yet. Would you let this man, your brother, die for nothing? If you want these horses, come make your payment in full."
Persuasion (to anger barbarians into breaking rank): 19

Carrow deftly turns his horse and spurs it into a full gallop. As he does so, the barbarian (#4) makes another attack with his spear...
The barbarians seem committed to pursuing the adventurers; they continue to press forward, with some of them choosing to move to higher ground.
(Round 2 actions for Rixton, Ladrian, and Vigan are next)
