Two arrows, one right after the other, seek to bring down the escaping goblin. The first, Carrow's, falls short of its target. The second, Rixton's, catches the creature squarely in the back. The goblin falters a bit after being struck but continues running for the bridge.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vigan
The goliath retrieves the handaxe lying on the ground previous occupied by the goblin, and then moves to cover behind a nearby boulder.
Not a lot I can do from this range, he thinks, as he takes note of where his companions are, and scans the bridge and fort, aiming to determine why the goblin is running towards a broken bridge.
Vigan deduces that the goblin is up to one of two things, the first of which is attempting to leap across the fifteen-foot gap in the damaged bridge and, thereafter, seeking safety somewhere within the keep. The second possibility might be a desperate try at an escape by jumping into the Ardeep River.
(Ladrian's action is next, followed by the goblin's)
Mother would disapprove of my language after my last shot failed to bring down the fleeing goblin. I should be impressed that I made the shot, but it clearly wasn't enough. Rather than run to try and catch the ever farther target, I draw another arrow back and steady my sight. The world narrows to a point focused on the goblin. I try to adjust for this impossible distance, relax into my stance, and loose the arrow.
Disadvantaged Shortbow Attack: 6 Damage: 7
My father would be proud of my choice of language after spectacularly missing. My shot falls far short of the goblin. I jog forward in the hopes that I might get a chance to fire again. (move to N19)
Carrow strides forward 30' feet and releases one more arrow from his longbow, hoping to stop the goblin before he leaps off the broken bridge. (Longbow attack: 18 | If successful, then 6 piercing damage)
The arrow strikes the goblin in the back just as he was preparing to make his leap. Whether he intended to jump into the river or escape to the keep, no one will ever know. The goblin falls awkwardly to his knees, slumps forward, and tumbles off the bridge and into the Ardeep River.
Nightstone seems eerily quiet now. The only audible sound is the soft pattering of the rain.
Updated map below. Any building not labeled is a farmhouse/residence. Of course, all the small square buildings along the perimeter of Nightstone are guard towers. The two red X's denote slain worgs. The black X's denote slain goblins.
I stand in the rain for a moment catching my breath. "Excellent shot, sir," I say to Carrow. I look to Vigan and Carrow. "What do you fellows say?" I ask. "We should scout for any remaining gobbers or survivors. I favor drawing up the bridge too. A warm fire does sound inviting, though. Perhaps we can be quick about it."
I walk over to the dead goblin nearest me (O19) and search it for anything useful.
Walking down the path back to the square Andor takes a moment to look over the large number of dead goblins and worgs. Joining up with Carrow the sorcerer says "Well that escalated quickly, is everyone OK?"
Looking forward to the bridge he continues "Seems like he might have been trying to head over there, I think we should follow but I don't like leaving enemies at our back, should we check the last buildings first?"

Vigan watches the arrow leave Carrow's bow and sail past him on the way to its target, grunting in approval when the goblin disappears from view. Let that be the last of those irritable creatures for now, he thinks to himself.
Joining the others outside what looks to the goliath like a trading post, he nods as the half-elf speaks.
"Raising the drawbridge would allow us to explore the rest of this village in peace, a sentry on one of the towers would alert us to any visitors also. We should deal with the keep last."
Turning to respond to Andor, Vigan winces as pain from the wound in his leg from a goblin arrow finally registers, adrenaline from the battle now subsiding.
"This wound is not serious, but I would prefer to rest my leg for a while."
Rixton searches the dead goblin and finds a gold ring in a pouch. The rogue estimates he could fetch 25 gold pieces for the ring if he finds the right buyer.
"How about we go and raise that drawbridge then and then retire to the inn for a rest? Posting a sentry up on one of the towers is a good idea though, if nobody else will do it I will, but if you get into any trouble come and let me know." Andor starts to move off towards the towers to check out the mechanism for raising the drawbridge.

"We need two to raise the draw bridge. I will check the goblins for anything useful and go start a fire at the inn if two of you handle the bridge."
(If we are out of combat, here is an action dump) I wait for confirmation, after which I head back towards the inn, circling it to check the corpses of each fallen goblin and worg around and inside the inn. Anything I find, including the ring I just found, will go on a table inside. Finally I start a fire in the kitchen fireplace and entice the snake on my arm to coil on to the back of a chair in front of the fire.
"I agree drawbridge and then a drink, these goblins need gathering into a pile and burning lest they spread any sickness about the town, allow me time to gather the bodies and i will take watch from the tower"
(Action Dump) Carrow will try to retrieve as many arrows as possible, and then will start to drag all the looted bodies into the middle of the town square ready for burning after the rain stops, afterwards he will check on how raising the drawbridge is going before joining Rixton in the Inn, the Half-Orc will look around the bar for something strong to drink. Successful or no in his search for booze Carrow will return to the bridge and take up sentry position.
ooc: thank you for being patient I've had a busy few days at work, my schedule can be unpredictable, and an excellent shot it was sir.
Approximately forty minutes later, the five adventurers have, without incident, raised the drawbridge to the village, searched the slain for any items of interest or value, and gathered the corpses for future destruction. The party's effort to reclaim arrows turns up the following:
5 of Carrow's arrows (which means five were lost or destroyed)
3 of Ladrian's arrows (which means two were lost or destroyed)
2 of Rixton's arrows (which means two were lost or destroyed)
7 goblin arrows
A fire now begins to burn brightly in the kitchen of the Nightstone Inn, where Andor, Ladrian, Rixton and Vigan are gathered. On a nearby table sits the various things that were found on the goblins:
A silver locket shaped like a fish (valued at 25 gp)
A battered copper flagon (valued at 1 gp)
Three vials of perfume (valued a 5 gp each)
Worthless kitchen utensils
Thirteen copper pieces
Six silver pieces
A dented silver jug (valued at 20 gp)
Carrow, with pint of ale and bottle of brandy in hand, is stationed atop a guard tower at the village entrance. The rain has ceased temporarily, but the day remains to be cold and gloomy.
DM did not assume that any of the buildings in Nightstone have been searched, apart from the temple (which was searched by Carrow and Vigan earlier) and the dead woman's room (which was searched earlier as well).
I shrug and pocket it. Feeling sufficiently warmed and dry, I search the kitchen, the common room, and the remaining bedrooms upstairs. Upon finding the innkeeper's locked chest, I first check it for traps.
"I would hope the people who left these things behind will return for them one day, but I do not think the coin will be missed", taking the six silver pieces he moves closer to the fire warming himself, ready to rest up before continuing with the exploration.

Rixton's search of the remaining rooms of the inn--ground floor and second floor--reveals just one item of interest: a locked wooden chest that sits in the northwest bedroom on the second floor. This particular room--although badly damaged by the boulder that crashed through it and now sits in the kitchen--is somewhat different from the other bedrooms upstairs. It is decorated, including a tapestry with a mountain landscape, and contains a large number of personal items (clothes, boots, and so forth), giving the impression that it is probably the innkeeper's home rather than a room that is rented out to guests.
Rixton:
The rogue doesn't detect anything magical about the ring. Regarding the locked chest, Rixton is confident that it isn't trapped in any way. His attempt to open it, however, is unsuccessful.
Locating the chair he had previously been sitting in, Vigan sits in it heavily, and props his right leg up on a nearby table. Examining the wound the from the goblin's arrow, he finds that the arrowhead fortunately missed both muscle and tendon, and patches the wound up relatively easily. Only blood-soaked clothing gives any indication that the goliath was wounded.
Taking a swig from his waterskin, and wolfing down a hunk of dried meat, Vigan watches a small pile of junk form, as his companions deposited the worldly goods of the goblins, stripped of anything remotely useful (and then some), on a table. To the spoils of war... Vigan toasts the pile with his waterskin, taking another swig, before placing it in his backpack.
Shutting his eyes while leaning back, Vigan focused his thoughts on a few of his companions...
Rixton - seemed as useful as a sack of potatoes at first, although he redeemed himself when he finally woke up.At least he is easy to carry, the goliath thought, a smirk crossing his lips. Carrow - skilled with both bow and sword, worthy of respect, would be interesting to fight. Vigan had heard many stories, both outlandish and factual, about the treachery of orc-kind. Recent years outside his tribe, with exposure to many different races, had done a lot to dispel the rumours and hearsay he had grown up with, revealing the best that the race had to offer. Ladrian - talked a lot, possibly too much, but also skilled and no stranger to battle.Andor - seems to enjoy playing with snow and ice. Vigan wondered if Andor had experienced the sort of harsh winters he and his tribe were accustomed to on a yearly basis; if he really knew the definition of cold. A voice in his head reminded him that Andor carried no wizard's spellbook, and possibly had no say in how his considerable magical power manifested itself.
Thoughts of cold and his tribe comforted the goliath, and he slept for a while...
Waking himself up with his own snoring, Vigan rubbed his eyes and cast an eye over the 'loot' stacked on the table. He noted that the remaining healing potion and the potion of giant's strength remained on the table. Vigan ambled over to the table, finding the rest had made is leg much easier to walk on, and placed the two vials in his backpack.
