Sighting the advancing giant in his crossbow sights whilst stil in the saddle Andor tries a tricky shot before galloping of towards the side of the farm house (I25)
"Wouldn't mind them running out of steam soon to be honest..."
Attack at disadvantage due to range with crossbow 6 for 7 piercing damage
With his ragged cloack and dblood still dropping from his wounds he says "Thanks for the potion Rixton, those boulders hurt like hell" and he shots at giant #2 again
Attack: 24 Damage: 8
After that he uses all of his movement using Cunning Action as bonus action he dashes to S28
Emerging from the paddock, Vigan makes his way towards the nearest grouping of trees, hoping to avoid playing a game of 'catch the boulder' with the giant on the far side of the pond.
Focusing on the sack of rocks at the feet of the giant, he attempts to guess how many more rocks it contains.
Maintaining their safe distance from the pursuing giant, Andor, Rixton, and Ladrian each take aim. Andor's bolt comes up short and sticks into the ground a few feet in front of the giant, but Rixton and Ladrian add to the damage the brute has already sustained. As Vigan makes way toward the trees on the east side of the lake, he can see that the first hill giant has one rock in hand. The sack on the ground has something in it, but it's too large to be another rock.
(Carrow's action is next; the hill giants will follow)
Seeing the giant flounder on the caltrops he chuckles to himself turns in his saddle and rides towards Andor reaching the sorcerer Carrow turns in his saddle taking his bow he runs the string between his thumb and forefinger, muttering in Orcish "May the thorns fall" a spot of blood appears his thumb cut on the small rose thorns which now adorn the bows string.
DEX save versus Hail of Thorns for hill giant 2: 2
Uttering his cantrip and then launching his arrow, Carrow sinks another missile into the pursuing giant. (Additional damage from Hail of Thorns: 2)
The giant on the far side of the pond fires one more rock toward the little people that have clearly derailed his plans to raid the homestead (Thrown rock attack at Rixton: 15 | Bludgeoning damage, if successful: 29). He then bellows to the second giant, "Darofta blum! Det narug benog."
Vigan:
The hill giant has called out, "Fall back. We search elsewhere."
Both hill giants then begin lumbering down the hill toward the Long Road. The first moves 40' east (to n22), the second dashes 60' east (to d29).
(The round has concluded; players may take their actions in any order, but Rixton must make first of three death saving throws)
"Carrow, make sure Rixton is ok! I'm going to check on the house. Hello, is there any one is there, are you hurt. Don't worry the giants are gone." Andor moves closer to the farm house, entering the building and then starts to look for any sign of survivors.
Heading towards Rixton, the goliath growls under his breath at the fact that the giants are retreating, and that he hasn't had the chance to draw blood with his new weapon.
Inhaling sharply, he bellows across the pond in giantish. "PATHETIC WEAKLINGS! YOU ARE NO TRUE GIANTS, RUNNING FROM CREATURES HALF YOUR SIZE! COME BACK AND FACE US!"
Andor enters the house and sees the damage caused by the few rocks that crashed through the roof. The house is fully furnished, and there's every indication that it is currently occupied. No one, however, responds to Andor's call.
Vigan's taunt reaches the ears of both giants, both of whom turn to look at the one who has insulted them in their own language. The two brutes exchange a few words that are inaudible to Vigan before turning and dashing back toward the house.
Hearing the goliath taunting the giants from outside Andor sighs muttering "couldn't just let them go could you?" under his breath before looking for a suitable window to use as cover.

Carrow
"Ladrian keep moving they are not finished with us yet" Carrow curses the Goliath spuring his horse west in a straight line, coming to a stop he turns in his saddle and fires (giant no2 +1 arrow)
Attack: 23
Damage: 7
Slayers Prey: 2
Watching the arrow sail towards the giant, spinning in the air, before it reaches its target the arrow splinters showering the giant in thorns.
Yet another arrow strikes the giant, who now has several wooden shafts protruding from his massive body. Despite his injuries, the giant is able to avoid taking the full damage from Carrow's spell. (Piercing damage: 3)
Ladrian, mirroring Carrow's tactic, steers his horse to the west and then turns and fires his crossbow (Light crossbow attack: 26 | Piercing damage, if successful: 14)
With this most recent round of action, the initiative order was altered a bit:
Rixton: successful death saving throw
Andor: entered house
Vigan: taunted giants and movement toward Rixton
Giants: movement west
Carrow: attacked
Ladrian: attacked
So, I'd like to proceed with initiative as follows:
Andor, Rixton, and Vigan (in any order) <-------- their actions are next
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vigan
The goliath reaches the unconscious body of Rixton, and kneels beside him. Retrieving the healer's kit from his backpack, he attempts to attend to the wounds created by the thrown rock.
Medicine: 6
Think I need to move 15ft to get to Rixton, so I'll move another 15ft after that to take me to around Q21
After finding no one inside, Andor leaves the safety of the house and fires another shot at hill giant 2. The bolt grazes the giant's arm, unfortunately doing no damage. The giants continue their mad rush toward the house and the members of the party. Hill giant 2 seems to be charging directly at Andor; hill giant 1 splashes violently through knee-deep water as he crosses the pond.
(Actions for Carrow and Ladrian are next, which will end the round. Andor, Vigan, and Rixton will follow and, thus, begin the next round)
"He will be fine, but he has taken a heavy blow from one of those rocks, I cannot bring him round."
Rising to his feet, he shouts to the others, "Fall back towards Rixton and the homestead, and keep firing on that giant!"
The risk to him and his companions was great, Vigan knew that, but he could not let the giants roam free to wreak more havoc elsewhere. They had stated in their own language that they were searching for something, so this attack on a lonely homestead would not be an isolated incident.
