Trapp and company have run back almost to the tube. Those who stayed are right there in case they want to do something before they reach it. Those who left are a block or so away, but can make out the commotion
Trapp and his companions see the tube on the ground, and the mouse conductor pounces. He quickly looks through its contents. He does the faintest of double takes, but, as he turns to face the other two, he appears entirely composed.
"All is well, gentlemen. We can conclude our business. And then I have some of my own to finish."
The trio turns and heads back towards the waiting carriage.
You hear the muffled sounds of, not quite conflict, but punishment, followed by the sounds of a departing carriage. Trapp returns down the alley, his face marked with a fresh bruise and a seething determination as he makes his way back towards the Yawning Portal.
As everyone tears across alleys, streets of closed businesses, and the occasional pub, Arvel removes the scarf from his head. Using it to dry his hair and remove the few remaining flakes of makeup under his eyes, he fumbles at his cape. Deciding not to turn it back to it's brilliant blue, Arvel appears for the moment as a normal street resident of Waterdeep, with the exception of his golden eyes.
"So we have the papers, and the information is ours. But going back to the Portal seems unwise at least for the moment. What should we do with that? " says Dekket with the papers in his hands " Sell it? Use it and try to localize this... Vault? "
"You won't find the vault...not with that," says a voice from the shadows.
Leilani steps out, into the light. "Our client wanted two documents. Trapp was supposed to get the directions to the Vault. The other...the one you now hold, I...I made." She smiles, sheepishly. "Some of my best work...rock-solid evidence for the Sergeant detailing who cheated and conspired to steal the Vault from the city. I thought Cassie might have remembered how good I was at codes, at forgery. When she didn't...", she takes a deep breath before continuing. "When she didn't, I put her name on it. Petty childhood memories." She shrugs at Orynn, and Dekket. "And you two, as well. You can't really blame me there -- you sort of look the type."
"Then, what she said to me as she left...well, I thought better. I came to get it back, or at least to change the names -- girl has to make a living, after all -- but it looked like you had things well in hand." Leilani motions at the paper. "If you don't believe me, I can teach you the cipher, but even without the Guard after you, you have another problem -- Trapp. Powerful men do not take well to humiliation. Actually, if our employer is not happy with Trapp's directions, you may have two problems."
With a strange mixture of embarrassment at what she has done and pride at what she can accomplish, Leilani explains the basic outline and structure of the document to Orynn. The iconography seems loosely related to Theives Cant, so, while such a brief introduction to the cipher cannot make him an expert, it is enough to demonstrate that Leilani is telling the truth -- that this document could be enough by itself to land those named in deep trouble with the authorities of Waterdeep.
"Forgery for profit? Perhaps... Forgery to fool and create problems to a guy who has no scrupels into throwing innocent people to a certain death just to create a distraction, for sure... do it for a childhood revenge... " Dekket moves his finger " no dear, we are not a single bit alike."
"What we should do with this? " ask Dekket guarding the paper "We know at least two people who are willing to pay for this, and if we probe ourselves trusthworthy we could still be in the trail for this Vault... if it ever exists..." he turns to Orynn " I mean, the real list, not this one that includes you of course... "
"Just people my client is interested in blaming. I have no idea who they are." answers Leilani. "It's just business - We all do what we have to do to survive."

Past ten bells, the streets are quiet. Trapp has returned to the Yawning Portal, and the carriage he was to meet has moved on.

Orynn blanches at the mention of his name being on the list. At the end of Leilani's speech, he points at the list. "We need to destroy that."

Orynn folds his arms over his chest. "So ... aside from our names you added, are the rest actual individuals of interest?"
"Just people my client is interested in blaming. I have no idea who they are." answers Leilani. "It's just business - We all do what we have to do to survive."
"So, none of them are actually attempting to find the Vault?" Orynn asks.
"Maybe they are, and maybe they are not. Not my department. For sure, they crossed my client, or he wouldnt be paying what he did."
"and who was your client again?" asks Dekket
