"What.... what is happening?" Rue repeats, looking bewildered.
Insight: 17 (( To see if Rue can figure out that any of these groups are related, or dangerous... or really all of the unspoken dialogue happening. Poor Rue. ))
Aerys notices this and follows Arvel, still acting drunk, and also keeping maybe 10 feet behind Arvel. Aerys casually just grabs the pommel of his scimitar, just in case.
“I am not sure... “ replies Dekket to Rue seeing that the others go towards Jun and the two strangers. “ but I suggest that you don’t start a fight in here...” but the others re already gone. “Oh... whatever... “ he says finishing his drink and sitting straight, with both feet on the ground and getting ready for trouble. If a fight starts maybe he could take some benefit from it, but despite the previous good moments, he is not willing to fight and have problems for some strangers he just met.

As two confront a woman from the past, three sit up in readiness, and two more stalk Grady and Dwindlejoy, the pre-show commotion is shattered.
SMASH! The tavern wall explodes inwards, showering patrons with dust and rubble! A tangled wreck of iron and wood tumbles through the hole, hitched to a team of frothing horses. Luggage tumbles from the vehicle’s roof and spills out over the floor!
Three things happen all at once as a classic Waterdhavian carriage crashes through window and wall. First, an oil lamp tips over onto the stage, setting right right half of it aflame. Second, the carriage flips a table, sending four patrons teetering and overbalanced, barely holding on the edge of the pit. Finally, out of some of the luggage spill four animated brooms, which immediately begin sweeping (bludgeoning, really) any patrons nearby.
As screams erupt from the patrons, Durnan roars over the din "Oi, Bighat! Ye wanted control over everything that interferes with the show? Then control this, NOW!"
The halfling, for his part, appears content to hide behind the non-burning side of the stage.
At this point, I am going to take the liberty of rolling all initiatives, to avoid long periods of waiting for 7 people in turn to roll their readiness. Please keep in mind there are at least three things going on immediately -- the burning stage, the patrons on the edge, and the brooms.
Broom 3 (at R9 steps forward) and swats once at each townsperson teetering on the edge:
Woman in purple: 17 Damage: 4
Laborer: 7 Damage: 5
The woman in purple is batted back further into the pit; she is barely holding on at this point. On the backswing, the broom misses the laborer by inches.
Current initiative - all those in bold may go. If you have combination moves or buffs, please work that out as you post.
Dekket raises from behind the chair and table that are now scattered in the floor. He must admit that he didn’t that one coming. Seeing that there were people in travel, he jumps over the fallen table and runs towards the nearest townspeople that are near falling ( the woman at P11) and he pulls her back to safety.
“ Better stay here dear “ he says to her helping the woman to reach the space behind the very same table he was a few seconds ago. He then turns to go and help another one...

OOC: Sorry, Dekket, but Orynn's initiative is before yours and he has the same idea.
All pretense of keeping his head down as obliterated as the tavern wall, Orynn leaps out of his chair and onto the table. He take a couple steps (north) and leaps off toward the poor woman in purple. As he gets to the edge of the pit, he reaches down for her.
Strength: 18 — Assuming that's high enough to pull her up.
He clasps her by one arm and the back of her dress and hoists her up and out of the chasm. "Get out of here!" he growls, giving her a shove toward the front door.
OOC: If he has time during this turn, Orynn will steady any of the other three "teetering" patrons he can, also ordering them out of the tavern.
As chaos ensues, Cassie's eyes dart toward the source of the ruckus and she marvels for just a moment at how fast that dang carriage had to have been going to break through the wall of the tavern. Then her adrenaline kicks in and she starts to assess the danger. Her eyes are first drawn to the bystanders who are precariously close to falling into the pit, but she sees that some of her recent tablemates are already moving to help get them to safety. Then her eyes dart over to the stage as it goes up in flames, but the only person she can see in possible peril from that is the bothersome Mr. Bighat, so she decides that can wait just a bit to deal with.
Finally, another motion catches her eye as she takes note of the four floating brooms just in time to see one of them attempt to knock a bystander into the pit.
"Ah HELLS no!"she blurts out at the sight, entirely NOT keen on watching animated cleaning tools nonchalantly murder people. As she shouts, flames erupt from her hands, and she quickly throws a burst of them at the one of the brooms (R6) before it can swoop in to attack.
Once she does that, she starts moving in the direction of the burning stage even as she keeps an eye on the floating brooms. She gets to G13 before being slowed by the bystanders there.
I was speaking more in terms of the fact that the last thing she did was try to pull Jun closer to her. With that in mind, is she going to try to hold on to Jun? I as a player expect that to be likely on account of Grady/Dwindlejoy, but Jun is not yet aware of them.
As chaos breaks out across the Yawning Portal, Jun quickly looks about to try to assess the scene.
Perception/Insight Check:15Whichever the DM feels more appropriate to the moment, add +2 if Perception.
If he doesn't notice anything out of sorts (beyond the obvious), Jun will begin pushing through the crowd toward the stage.
Movement: To square G11, I don't think Jun can get further because blocked by people. Action: See check above, if that does not require his action, I will adjust
Note:If Leilani tries to hold onto Jun, he immediately suspects that something more is going on and will ready a Dodge action to buy himself time.

Neither the two men nor Leilani have reacted overtly yet. Leilani has completely let go of Jun, in surprise, leaving Jun unattached and completey free to act. In fact, all three register surprise at a carriage suddenly erupting through the wall. Either none of them expected this, either, or they are supremely good actors.
A blur of motion signals three of the companions moving to get between townspeople and the brooms. Orynn leaps from his chair, and grabs the stricken woman (at O11) just as she begins to fall into the pit. She barely has time to mutter thanks before she flees. Aerys breaks off his subtle pursuit of Arvel to leap past Bonnie and the burning stage yank another townsman (at O7) away from the broom. Unfortunately, that puts him directly in the path of the animated threat. As it moves to intercept him, it a gout of flame from Cassie streaks past his ear, striking the broom directly on the handle. Singed and cracked, it keeps coming.
Broom 1 on Aerys: 23 Damage 7, 12 Damage 4,
Jun turns and sees Dwindlejoy and Grady - they appear as shocked as anybody else at the carriage's arrival. However, as you move towards them, you can see a flash of inspiration flicker on Grady's face, as he looks from the carriage to Leilani.
Current order, bold may go (Dekket, feel free to edit your post if your feel intervening actions would have changed your action. If not, when the familiar goes and after I return, I will resolve your move.):
The hummingbird flies back inside from its perch above the door of the tavern, making a beeline for Leilani.

Seeing that the woman is already safe Dekket does the same with the next man near to fall, except that this time he just pull him out of danger and move to grab the other woman that it’s next to him trying to catch them before any of them falls.

Dekket races up and pulls another townsperson to safety, as the hummingbird darts over towards Leilani. The remaining brooms advance, attempting to sweep away their nearest targets:
Broom 2 sweeps the townswoman remaining near the edge: 12 Damage: 7
Broom 4 attempts to brush aside both Dekket 11 Damage: 7 and Orynn 21 Damage: 7
Mid-round, to show new positions (and why some of the townsfolk resolutions differ, as brooms have blocked paths). Order:
I will do so starting next round - I did not want to give you actual HP bars, but I will come up with a dot color scheme to indicate the standard pretty good/damaged/rough sort of estimates your characters could be doing. For the moment, only the northernmost broom (at R6) has taken damage, from Cassie's firebolt, as the rest of you have prioritized saving the townsfolk. It is looking slightly cracked, but does not appear in bad shape.
