"I'm afraid the exact nature of member benefits and responsibilities are disclosed when somebody is ready to stand for or an invitation," replies Sarva.
Aerys hears Cassie mumble to herself but can't hear it, he just casually sits and listens to the conversation at the table and sips his ale, while watching the workers swiftly clean the debris from the hole in the wall.
Having the protection of one or two powerful organizations could be what Dekket needs to solve part of his problems.
- That sounds like a good agreement - he says to Blossom and Sarva but he sits again - So... the room is already rented by one of the performers. I think it's worth to take a look into it anyway. If there is something hidden perhaps the actual occupant has not found it. And taking a look could give us the identity of wich one is. With this inofrmation we could approach him or her and try to learn if he or she found what we are looking for. Do we all agree? - ask the tiefling to the rest of the table.
Despite his decidedly non-commital attitude through most of the exchange, Jun's posture shifts after overhearing Cassie's comment.
"Well, the longer we wait now, the less time shall have to search. Perhaps we should not all proceed at once though. A group this size leaving upstairs at the same time may draw too much attention."

Rue probably doesn't deserve pointed looks. He also doesn't look very pleased about the answers he was given. "I am... not sure of zis. Many questions are left vague or unanswered. Why do you not share wiz us, if you believe so we can help you?"
Rue frowns at Blossom, then Sarva. "Why should we trust you when you do not trust us?"
"I think that could be arranged," Blossom smiles at Cassie. "As for not trusting you, we would not be asking your aid if we did trust your ability to succeed. If you cannot elicit the answers that lead you to trust us, well, it appears there is little we can do. Sarva can point you to the room, or, stay and ask me what you will, or, as I suggested, go to talk Durnan or others about us, though I fear this young man here is correct about the passing of time."
"I'm going to go speak with Durnan about available rooms. When I return, I'll be heading up to meet whoever goes up ahead of me." He looks about the table at everyone present. "Sometimes you just have to follow where the wind blows."
Jun then departs to speak with Durnan at the bar.
To Durnan:
"Excuse me. Do you have any rooms available for a night or two? My companion and I offboarded a ship this morning and are looking for a place to stay while we make other arrangements."

Threestrings concludes his performance. As you get up, you notice that the performer who had assisted in putting out of the fire, returns from upstairs and begins to fiddle with his mouse cages.
"All the prime rooms are taken - don't know how I let that Bighat put that in the contract for his performers," says Durnan, "but yes, if your are not needing a fancy suite, we can find a place for you."
"I've never met Dalakhar, myself" says Sarva to Rue. "Before he was hunted by the Cassalanters, I heard he had the ear of Lord Neverember, who was mixed up in the Vault of Dragons. Of course, both Neverember and the Cassalanters are too highly placed for a direct investigation by the Order, so we have to start lower -- with a trusted associate like Dalakhar. Dalakhar's work on this playbill is the closest thing we had to a lead on his whereabouts. What with the playbill itself depicting various criminals -- I'm sure you've seen it -- it seemed almost a dare to those factions, so we decided to wait and see what transpired. Now, Dalakhar is gone, and his room taken by one of the troupe. You've made it clear you do not trust us. That is good. Trust nobody. We have yet to determine who in the troupe occupies that room, nor their abilities."
((Completely forgot about Passive Perception being a thing. I'll put Aerys' reaction in a spoiler so it doesn't hinder the flow of the game right now.))
Aerys glances at Cassandra as she mumbles, "My friend here is correct. A place to stay for a few nights would be a nice 'reward'."
Aerys leans back in his chair and tips it on the back legs, "I am fairly good at being quiet when needed, but I am not good at investigating. I'll leave this one up to the big shots." He winks at whomever the "big shot" will be.
"I've been on the road too long to get hung up on how fancy a room is. How much for two rooms for the night? I'll pay for a second on the morrow if we need it."

"If you're not particular, the rooms are on the house for tonight," says Durnan. "Not fancy, on the first floor, but least I can do after you cleaned up the brooms. Bad for business for me regulars to get tossed into the pit."
Rue tilts his head, thinking. He seems to have calmed now that he's actually gotten an answer to at least one of his questions.
Finally, he says to the table, "I will follow after Jun." He drains his water mug, stands, and performs his mixture of a bow and curtsy to the table. "Until zen.."
Rue turns away and moves through the crowd, still avoiding the edge of the pit, and makes his way toward Threestrings as he exits the stage.
"I'm afraid the exact nature of member benefits and responsibilities are disclosed when somebody is ready to stand for or an invitation," replies Sarva.
Orynn scowls, but does not reply.
Cassandra doesn't quite scowl, but she does frown.
"I was thinking something a bit more immediate..." she says rather quietly, before turning to glance over at the stage.
She mumbles something mostly to herself.

Cassie nods her agreement with Jun's words of caution, seemingly deciding to proceed with this arrangement despite her misgivings.
"Makes sense to me if we are all in. Perhaps our best 'investigators' should proceed up first, and the rest of us will follow shortly?"
She looks particularly at Rue and Orynn as she makes this suggestion.
OOC: You mean Dekket, not Rue, right?
Orynn gives a nod. "Which room?"
Rue probably doesn't deserve pointed looks. He also doesn't look very pleased about the answers he was given. "I am... not sure of zis. Many questions are left vague or unanswered. Why do you not share wiz us, if you believe so we can help you?"
