"Gods damn this door," Whisper says. "I will leave it to those who know such things more than myself." Instead, Whisper explores the expansive cavern, staying close to the walls and mainly concerned about finding anything useful or dangerous.
Jut is disappointed his traps didn't work. As a slave he usually provided most of his own food. As he walks he develops a plan. Starting to talk aloud We use vines and make nets, lower them in. Anyone with a magic hand prepares. I walk in, rage and cut myself. The fish swarm. The nets grab them, the mage(s) get more. I swing this little axe as I back out. Then we eat fish...yeah he thinks this will work. Jut prepares to share his plan upon returning to the group
Kruphal: You notice the waterfall comes over a sheer cliff. You may be able to climb it but not easily. To get around it you would need to traverse the mountain until you find a place where there is no sheer cliff. As you look you do find some game trails but the tracks that made them are a bit unusual. Almost like a lizard had made them but bigger than you are used to seeing. Possibly as big as a large dog.

Booker sees nothing, no markings or a handle. Getting that feeling of its magical nature, he waits until Whisper is done touching it before he puts both his hands on the door. He puts the coconuts on the ground beside him before touching it.
As he learns in with both his hands. He whispers lightly." Tempus, lead the way. "
He prays to him as he touches the door. Though at this time, unfortunately he did not memorize the spell to detect they magic nature of this door.
If this does not work he sighs and steps back. Contemplating resting here until he can see the nature of the magic to this door. (Which means not until he is done resting , next morning. )
Kruphal, seeing these strange tracks of a creature alien to his knowledge, looks for one of the others nearby the waterfall."What doth thou make of these?" He calls out to them, pointing out the lizard-like tracks. "Something scaly this way hunts, yet I know not of anything that fits the print."
After searching the cave briefly, Kurik leaves to see if he can help outside. He hears Kruphal call out and he walks over to him then kneels down near the tracks, looking at them.

Cormak gathers some fruit and looks for anything that he can yield as a weapon from nearby trees. Perhaps a couple of large branches to be used as clubs.

He takes his findings and brings them back to his brother who was working on a shelter.
Caldon will turn to Theo with arms full of wood and large leaves "Helm blessed us with a fire starter. Your skill will help greatly with making shelter although I'm not fully sure what to do after I gather the wood."
Glancing over a his brother Cormac "Brother we can set up our shelter next to the water in this clearing, hopefully it will help protect us from whatever lurks in the forest."
Kurik: Looking at the tracks you remember hearing stories from your childhood of giant lizards that used to roam the whole land. Perhaps this is a variety of this kind of creature. But clearly not as big as some of the stories that you have heard.

Kurik looked closely at the tracks, then said, "large lizard. Could be good for food. But it will be tough to kill. Especially when the smooth skins have no weapons or armor." He stood up and looked at Kruphal, "Come, possible shelter has been found."
Whisper grows frustrated with this dark cave and mysterious door. She slams her fists against the metal and lets it echo against the cavern walls. "Infernal door," she says. Her rage bubbles into her thoughts and she paces out of the cavern, hissing at the waterfall spray or the sunlight constricting her pupils. She paces back and forth on the ledge, not wanting to go back to the beach and not wanting to go back in the cavern. The pent up energy in her needs to go somewhere. She looks up and, for no discernible reason, starts climbing.

Shank comes back from the beach with Jut. He notices that many of the group seem to be investigating an area behind the waterfall. He decides to let them search. He gathers the wood and vines he and Jut bring into a pile. He then looks at the foliage in order to understand which trees might be able to be fashioned into a bow and arrow or other kind of weapon in case they are needed: survival - 6 or nature - 4 depending on which the DM deems appropriate. (OOC: Yikes)
Whisper: you begin climbing with incredible dexterity. Your claws finding purchase in even the smallest cracks in the rocks. You ascend for about 100 feet next to the waterfall and have about 600 feet more to climb. There is a slight ledge here where you can take a break and look around or you can continue.
Shank: you try to ascertain what trees might be best for creating a bow but they all are so unfamiliar to you that you really cannot tell which would be best.

Whisper looks out over the jungle to get a sense of other interesting landmarks that might be worth exploring. She feels some of her rage subsiding and is not sure she has the drive to climb all the way to the top now, but perhaps this vantage point will offer something useful to her and the other survivors.

Kruphal looks to his lizardfolk companion. "Yes, they're unarmed, but do not underestimate a surface dweller when desperate. They can be quite wily, as thou shall most likely discover." He follows the others towards the shelter that was mentioned.

Bill speaks up " I have a shortsword so I can fight."
Jut prepares to give up on fishing for now on hearing the words fight. He pulls his hand axe. I prefers something bigger, but did someone say fight?
Whisper: You look out but a light fog has begun to form over the island and as a result there is little you can see beyond the immediate area.
Jut: You attempt to spear the fish but every time you try they can sense the motion and dodge your attempts.
