Logi doesn't sense anyone eavesdropping on the group as they scheme. The group spends time arming up and doing their morning rituals as their plans are being interwoven, after which there is a polite knock on the frame to the doorway. "Are you decent?" A call comes from outside. The noise from inside probably tipped them off as to the group being awake at least. (This is after Logi's chat, so no conspiring was overheard from what you can tell)
Headed out of the hut, it appears a half dozen of the villagers have armed themselves with spears and wooden shields. "The elder requests you take us to where you found the goblins yesterday." One of them speaks to the group. "If you are ready, we'll head out now before the sun gets too high."
(Feel free to point out if there is a point where the group wants to exact any actions.)
The group heads outside and is joined by the six villagers with their weapons and shields. There is a seventh that joins them, one with tattoo markings of eyes lined down his face. "He is the village's mystic." One of the villagers informs the group. "The mystic can contact the spirits and ancestors to find knowledge lost by the dead." The mystic seems to walk around hunched over, nearly crawling as he moves up to the group.
"We shall go." The mystic informs the group. "You shall guide us."
The group travels with the party back towards the coast, which takes a couple of hours of travel. The thick jungle bushes threaten to hide an ambush of some sort, but never does one happen. The six villagers are on guard, wary of any sort of goblin attack that could happen. The mystic travels between the group, almost like they are being an escort for him.
"Stop!" The mystic says only a few minutes before the group would arrive at the cremation site. He traces his hand on the ground. "I sense the presence of goblins. They were here."There is a mumbling between the six villagers.
During the travel, Giacomo makes many attempts to casually catch Larry and Logi's attention, only to tighten his grip on the hilts and tilt his head at the mystic.
Once the mystic stops the group and declares the presences of goblins, Giacomo says, "Yes, if you can contact those now dead goblins, they must answer your questions, no? Ask them if they were attacking your village daughter, and ask them if we indeed did kill them afterwards. Then we can be done with this."
The mystic seems to go onto all fours, almost feral-like, as he sniffs the ground. "Hmm, fresh. Lead on." He tells the group.
Headed through to the combat area, the mystic begins to crawl around similar to a spider. "Yes... Yes... A battle..." He says, gazing over the splatters of blood, footprints, and other features. "Soon the ancestors will reveal all..."
Giacomo drops his travelling pack, under the pretense of waiting impatiently. "I will stand to the side here and meditate." He wields his swords and begins mock practice. He is ready to launch an attack, given what the mystic reveals.
Giacomo, Performance check to keep the facade looking believable while they investigate.
"Shh." The mystic says, crawling over the battlefield and seems to be headed towards the pyre area. "Yes... she was here, too. Chased, she was, towards the water."
The folk that came along seem a bit wary of Giacomo's "practicing", choosing to stay beside their mystic. The mystic crawls closer to where the party were stood. "Yes, you were here, too."He says, licking the ground, then turns to look at them. "The girl was alive. She ran towards you for help, so the spirits tell me."
Giacomo ends his fake meditation and growls, "In my hometown, there are plenty of charlatans that do the same nonsense. They have every superstitious pleb begging for cures and boons, throwing away their money by preying on their fears and misery. Well I am not a pleb and I will not put my my fate in the hands of this obvious fraud. Spirits don't communicate by leaving messages in dirt that you can 'hear' by licking the ground. If you want answers, ask the living or raise the dead. Proof that multiple people can see and hear with their own eyes and ears. The goblins came from that way, "Giacomo points, "as the tracks you can all see with your eyes clearly show. Let us catch these goblins and make them answer questions that we can all hear the answers to."
There is a shocked murmur between the villagers that came along. Giacomo seems to have said something which they may've classed as blasphemous.
The mystic looks up and grins, his eyes seemingly coated with a light blue film. "The spirits tell me she was hit by short arrow from a strange weapon." The mystic states. "It went into her gut." He squats as he holds his hands over his own abdomen, almost enacting what happened the day before. The mystic's eyes seem to be trained on the party, glancing at their weaponry through that filter upon his eyes.
Giacomo makes a show of displaying his weapons. Long sword, short sword, javelin, darts. "There's no martial art in using devices to fire projectiles. Any coward can do that." Switching subjects, Giacomo asks, "If your spirits are so all knowing and benevolent, why did they not warn your fraud here that the goblins were breaking their pact with your town? Why s it mystics can only 'foretell' things that have already happened?" Looking at the others, "You are all deceived. If you really want answers, the goblins are that way!"
Giacomo makes a dismissive gesture and tries to leave in the direction he saw the goblin flee.

Giacomo will step out of the hut, prepared for travel. He'll acknowledge the person outside, but that is all.
"One moment!" Logi calls out, gathering the last of his things. He gives Larry a sideways glance. With a small nod, he heads out and join Giacomo.

Giacomo nods, "Indeed! Before the weather turns and the tracks get washed away."

"Can you follow the trail of the goblins that escaped? We can are a large enough party we can hunt them and exact revenge." Larry comments.

"By the, er goblins." Logi starts, distracted by the Giacomo's scrunched countenance. "What else do you see?"
To set the mood...this is what I picture is happening.....

That's a real strong yup, in so many ways. Can't wait for the standoff.

Giacomo, either an intimidation check or deception check, your choice on how you put the inflections on your words.
