Giacomo searches around for a moment, Finias deciding to assist where possible. After a few minutes of trying to ignore the goblin tracks everywhere, at trail is found. It is fresh and goes through some soil headed "north".
The Dwarf fool smiles and comments, "great job Giacomo you found a trail we can follow! From all those stupid deer tracks about looks like plenty of game to hunt and keep us feed, eh!"
(Up to you guys if you bring the girl's body with you or not...)
The group follows the trail, which is mostly straight forward. There is a slight detour to go around some of the thick underbrush further inland. The group can see up ahead what appears to be a basic village with a wooden wall near twenty feet tall around it, showing a single entry-exit of an open gateway around fifteen feet wide. From the initial glimpse through the entry it looks like wooden buildings with thatched roofs rather than stonework. There appear to be a couple of human loitering near the entrance, garbed similarly to the girl, but with some spears propped beside them.
The girl has been cremated until even the bones are ash. No body to cast speak with dead onto. We are carrying her bloody clothing.
Looking at the village, Giacomo sighs, "Well, keep expectations low. A small backward village like that won't provide many opportunities. Lets learn what we can about this land, stock up on supplies and move on. And someone else do the talking? Curious people with endless questions irritate me."

If you are planning to cremate the body, it would take some time and effort to do so. Incinerating a body to that degree would most likely require a pyre being setup.
@Logi
Forgot to post this. As you looted the body, the girl had around her neck a silver pendant which seems to have some iconography of what may be a local deity, with wavy patterns on the side. Religion if you care to know more.

Unless someone has cantrips or spells to move the process along.
OOC: Logi could totally do it, but I was not clear if the plan was to burn the corpse and return it as such, which might link it to me, or if we were just going to return the mutilated corpse, unburned, and blame it on the goblins.
OOC: The clothing will show all the puncture holes and the blood, and our story. Giacomo wants to burn the body completely, to remove any form of evidence. We bring back the clothes and whatever story we concoct. We can even tell the village people we burned the bodies, because that's what 'our' people do to honor the dead (lie or not).
Finias helps the others with the pyre or whatever other tasks they have in mind to cover up the crime and dispose of the girl's body they set him to do but offers no suggestions or input other than a helpful hand to speed along the work.
Okay, so it is a little later in the day (not too much later) as the body is burnt down to ashes by the group, leaving its dust to be scattered by the sea breeze. Continuing forward with the bloody cloth of the girl the party is now outside the village (as described in this post).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Finias takes out hisViol and begins to play Performance18 as he slowly walks... approaching the humans of the village hoping a little music will help ease things along.
Giacomo grinds his teeth, trying to endure the screeching noises coming out of Finias's viol. He slows and stays towards the back, trying damn hard to meditate and find his calm center.
Finias steps out of the cover the party has, grabbing his viol to quickly begin to play and grab the attention of the two people at the entrance to the village. However, he soon realises he did not tune up the viol as the tune comes out dischordant to what is expected. The two people at the entrance suddenly rummage for their spears and hold them firm.
"Halt, stranger!" One of them calls in a deep tone. "And stop that noise."
Larry stares at Finias confused.....and pauses on his walk towards the villiage, shrugging his shoulders and glancing at the others...."Well that was odd"
Giacomo's first reaction upon seeing Finlas flee once in the presence of armed strangers is to check his belongings: blades, coin purse, pack.
Then with a true mirth barely held in check, he turns to Melody and says, "In one of the monk manuscripts I studied, there was a proverb that makes a lot of sense now. It went 'He...' or in this case, 'she who does not carry her belongings, never truly possesses them.' There he goes with all your things you made him carry for you!"
As Finias flees into the forest away from the group, the two "guards" look to one another, a little confused. They mumble something to one another as one of them walks forward towards the viol, as if to collect it.

"I've only read about how to do this. Doesn't seem that hard."
Logi gives the girls body a few kicks in the dust, scuffing her already worn clothing a little more.
"Follow the trail, then? Wouldn't want to keep them waiting."

Larry will glance curiously at the Pendant.however he wasn't educated in anything beyond the Darklords teachings
