Nothing happens. The knife doesn't penetrate the book.
The party travels back to the village with the book abd the knife. They regal their tail of witches, frog men, and scarecrow leaving out the flying broom of whoop ass! They are generously rewarded and give the items to Telyma and Sybil who seems to darken even more at thr sight of the tome.
"My mother stole that book from a witch," Sybil speaks. "I think it....started all THIS," she exclaims wrenching the book from Telyma's hands and tossing it into the inn's fire.
There's a loud shriek from the book but it burns and the crystal on the cover expells a shadowy figure that Telyma quickly banishes from the inn. The party is celebrated as heroes and retires that evening admits still partying townsfolk.
Will they take another case? Who knows, this case however is closed!
