"Hold on Jury, you were the one who said we need to work together"Drago is following Jury and does a very strange dance with the Law trying to keep pace. "Your little sticky friend found something and you wander off alone to figure it out? You wouldn't want to discuss it a little would you?"
Drago follows around the corner and down the hall. He stops short at the very strange colors coming from the far wall and watches from about 10 feet back as Jury first hesitates, then thrusts his hand into the strange orange wall. "Rule Thirty-Five huh? Where do I get this rule book so we can start figuring you out? It feels like you play to a different set of rules than what you want us to play by. Is this Jury impartial?"
With Drago on tow, Jury reaches into the wall whirpool and grasps at something he cannot see. Eventually, the warforged pulls out his hand and looks at his palm, with Verdict atop his head, and Drago trying to peek in from the side. He finds a small packet made of greased paper, the sort that is used to enclose specific amounts of powder, like a sachet. Although the wall does not provide any information on the item, Jury can tell by simply touching it that whatever powder is inside is definitely arcane. The wall stops swirling after Jury gets his gift, and becomes nothing more than a normal patch of stone.
Both Jury and Drago return to the initial room and rejoin Grixx and Charles. The warforged and the elf sit quietly for a while, regaining their strengths while the humans stand watch. Verdict perches on Jury's head while he is resting. Law and Order stand guard at the northern wall.
(OOC: Drago and Jury can go ahead and take short rests. Jury can also ritual-cast Identify as part of the rest if he wants, we'll just assume the rest takes 71 instead of 60 minutes. If rolling any die, like hit dice for example, please roll them in this thread. Charles and Grixx should feel free to do whatever they want during this hour and eleven minutes. If choosing just to stand guard, please say so. This would allow us to fast forward to the end of the rest so that we can all go back into the action. But again, no pressure. Feel free to do whatever it is you'd like).
Apart from the noises coming from you and your companions, the room is disconcertingly quiet. No noises or movement seem to be coming through any of the doors, be them closed or open. You have a feeling your group has been left alone for now.
E-gads! Is it Residuum?! Nooooo. I can't snort it for unlimited magic power on this character. Oh what a cruel DM you are!
"... Hah... Hah. Hah. Hah... That was a good Pun."Jury says as he walked past Drago examining the boon in hand. "It is inscribed within the confines of my spell book. You are welcome to review all Three-hundred and Forty-Six at your leisure while I convalesce. Verdict." Verdict stands up, salutes, and dug out what amounted to an almost unreasonable thick tome from Jury's backpack. Despite its size the little Homunculus only real struggle is to get it out in the first place. Once he had it, he has to walk, but proves more than capable of carrying it overhead like a miniature Atlas holding up a mountain.
Looking inside the book, Drago sees.... absolutely... beautiful... gibberish. Looking at did feel strangely comfortable and uplifting. But none of the words made a lick of sense without a background of hanging out with Aasimar, particularly devoted Clergy men and women, or Sages.
The whole time that is going on Jury has had pulled out a pearl and iron rune covered staff and for the Identify ritual. After all is said and done, he makes certain to retrieve the book back from Drago should he have accepted it. "Eastward. We should head there."
(SO glad I decided to still pick up that spell. Though, I am regretting still not having been a bit more prepared for a freaking Stone Golem.)
(@Lerus At the end of the Short Rest Jury will use his Arcane Recovery Feature to restore up the maximum 5 levels worth of spell slots: Specifically, [1] 1st level, and [1] 4th level slot.)
(@Everyone Do not forget to add 12 Temporary HP from Jury's earlier Inspiring Leadership Speech(feat). Unless you didn't feel that particularly inspired. Then whatever. :P )
Jury studies the powder that resembles very fine sand. There is not much of it available, no more than a pinch. Whatever it is, it should be enough for no more than one use. After some time, the ritual is complete and the cleric understands this to be a pinch of Dust of Disappearance. It should help buff the party temporarily.
The short rest goes off without any disturbances. You all feel ready to go.
"Dust of Disappearance. How Quaint." Jury comments on as he rose back to his feet. He carefully pockets the item in a side pouch. From atop Jury's head, Verdict shoots Jury an almost worried glance. Yet, after a moment it takes off to scout the south-eastern path. Law and Order meanwhile try to individual pick up sizeable yet reasonably smaller chunks of the stone minotaur's body and begins carrying it them out of the door if possible after Verdict.
Verdict doesn't bother waiting on the zombies, and puts pedal to the clay. But Jury does at least wait until the Zombies have a clear 20 ft lead on the group before addressing them, "If there are no further objections, Grixx, take point and follow after Law and Order. I will be right behind you. Charles. You shall take the rear. Drago, you will be behind me." Jury then lights the lantern of revealing hanging off his belt, casting a cool, blue light upon whatever it shines on.

Grixx will follow behind Law & Order. Grixx would like to look ahead for threats a long the walls.
Verdict leads the way a good 10 feet ahead of Law and Order, who now each carry a sizable chunk of stone. From the back, Charles lets the group know the last turn he was aware of (the one at J19). The minions pass it without much of a though and keep going deeper.
It is not until Grixx reaches the next bend that he notices, to the west of him, yet another liquid wall, much like the one Jury described. It swirls slowly and calls for the barbarian to approach. Grixx feels enticed to do so, especially after not identifying any additional threats on the way here.
Seeing Grixx turn towards the strange wall, Jury leans out past to see, then back to others, gauging their individual reaction. When it becomes evidently clear no one else heard a voice, he grasps Grixx by the shoulder again, though for a different sort of guidance. "It seems you have been chosen this. Caution. Do not lie to it. It will know."And that was that, unless provoked by the others, Jury stands at attention where he was, and had his minions do the same with their burdens in hand until Grixx completed his test and returned to ready to continue their exploration. .

Drago can see the glow from around the corner and again wonders what kind of magic this is. He feels like they make a good team and allows things to progress as they are without interference. He tries to stay alert for surprises.

The wall begins to swirl faster and faster in response to Grixx's words. It forms a whirlpool right at its center. The eye of the watery tornado caves inwards and away from the barbarian, inviting him to reach into the darkness. The human feels enticed to do so and the wall, through its mental connection, seems to encourage him to reach without hesitation.

Grixx nods and lets his greatsword hang by his side. Grixx will approach the liquid wall hesitantly.
"...Hello?"
Grixx can feel the mental connection established between him and the wall. As he approaches, a few words form on its surface:
WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED, WRATH OF TEMPUS?
Grixx calmly says, “I have learned that I cannot survive alone..”
Then Grixx says proudly, head in the air,”But, If I stick with this war band then I will survive and bring glory to TEMPUS!”
