Twig looks around the room, heedless of the danger, but rather wary about being in a wizards personal chambers. Seeing Garth’s approach begins to embolden her, and she creeps a little farther into the room.
"I can't see anything!" Garth said, sounding a bit frantic.
"While I was looking through the desk for anything useful, I caught a glimpse of something in the mirror before losing my vision." He turned to face the general area of the doorway and Twig as he spoke. "What should I do?!"
Twigs eyes widen in shock and she immediately looks to the floor, trying to avoid looking at anything. “Let’s get out of this room to regroup. I’m going to guide you out.” Twig shuffles over to Garth and puts her arm around him, warming him before they get into the rain room, and guides him to the hall, where she helps him sit on the floor with his back to the wall, next to the stairs.
“Goodness, even looking in a mirror is dangerous here...” Twig says, shaking her head and again removing as much water from her fur as possible. She then turns, and, businesslike, marches down the hall to open the door at the end.
Twig opens the door down past the bathroom and sees a spacious twenty by twenty-five-foot master bedroom. The room is very well-lit, and the light is coming from a glass sphere about the size of a cantelope sitting on a dresser. Inside the sphere appears to be a fiery inferno. There is a large bed adorned with furs and a bedside table and a high-backed chair with a battle scene between elves and goblins carved into the wood. Along the wall to your right, there is another door. You can also see what looks to be a trapdoor in the ceiling at the far end of the room.
Twig looks to her companions “I would guess that the wizards chambers are the most likely to have traps...but also have the most interesting artifacts.”
Twig approaches the glowing sphere and puts her paw as near it as she dares to feel for radiant heat.
"Should we start looking through the the wizard's things, which worked out for me so well in that last room, or just go for the trap door? Garth said, staring at the battle scene.
Twig feels a good warmth coming off the sphere. She deduces that it would be uncomfortable to handle for most folks, but her fur would likely act as gloves to insulate her skin from the heat a bit.

The sphere is hot in her hands, but not so hot that she would get burned, due to her fur. It definitely doesn't feel as hot as glass should with the visible inferno blazing within.

Twig is grinning at the sphere in her hands. “I like this. Sorry Garth, what did you...?” pausing to think about what he had said she suddenly looks slightly abashed.
Raising the orb slightly, she nods to Garth “Good point”
Still holding the orb with one hand, Twig turns to open the dresser. Pausing, she warns her companions and gives them a chance to step out, if they wish, should anything happen when she opens the drawers. She opens the top drawer, just a crack at first, and peers inside.
(If She isn’t blinded or anything) One by one, she opens all the drawers cautiously, from top to bottom.
"You know, that sphere you got there would help us see what's in that dark room connected to the kitchen. If we don't find anything in here or the attic, that may be a good place to head next." Garth said from the doorway.
Twig nods, and begins going through the room they are in methodically, examining everything with caution and curiosity, the bed, the furs, the nightstand, and the chair.
(If nothing happens/is found, move on to the door)
After losing his vision, Garth immediately began to touch the area of the desk he had been touching in an effort to reverse the spell.
Garth fumbles blindly on the desk to no avail.

Twig tilts her head, looking at Garth’s fumbling curiously.
“Are you having trouble with something?”

By the time they get out into the hallway, Garth's vision returns.

Too focused on her interest to really hear Garth, Twig taps the glass sphere as lightly as quickly and lightly as possible.
(If nothing happens) Twig then touches the sphere for a bit longer, and then picks it up, examining and admiring it.
