Cor immediately reaches inside himself and pulls on the tides of fate and uses them to make sure he can hit the dragon as he casts a new spell he learned.
A beam of crackling blue energy streaks out and and hits the 10-foot tall dragon in the chest. It spread its wings in fury and pain, reaching out to 28 feet on either side, before furling them back up again.
A surge of energy bursts out of Cor and everyone feels a bit more delicate.
Twig quickly takes a couple steps back and to the right and hides behind a tree. From here, she looses an arrow at the dragon. She stays behind the tree, hoping to avoid the dragon’s notice.
"Everyone, spread out! With that wing span, it could knock us all down if we group together, not to mention if it can shoot fire at us. Cor, try to find some cover to hide behind if you can stay in range for your magic, but away from Twig." With that, Garth ran to the north east of their position. As he ran, he tried to remember anything he's ever heard about dealing with dragons.
Once he had reached a spot directly east of the dragon, and near the trees, he began to look over the dragon, trying to notice any apparent weak spots that could be exploited.
A ball of lightning leaves Cor's hands and splashes into the water to the left of the dragon, momentarily lighting up the water with a crackle of electricity.

Twig furtively sneaked between the trees and hid behind one of the big trunks and took aim at the Green Dragon Wyrmling. She closed her eyes for a moment as she drew the arrow back, inhaling all the while. She opened her eyes, began to exhale, and loosed the arrow. It flew with incredible speed, entering directly into the dragon's mouth and piercing the sac that produced its poison breath. The dragon choked and sputtered, attempting to breathe with little success. It thrashed about, unable to get air, attempting to clutch its throat with claws too sharp, tearing open its throat in its urgency and panic. It fell backwards into the pond with an enormous splash, falling still as the water splashed back and forth over its body.
The mid-morning sun reflects off the surface of the water as the group catches their breath.
(OOC: Well done, gang. That was way easier than I expected. You have Cor's Wild Magic Surge to thank for that. It caused everyone within a 30 foot radius to be vulnerable to Piercing damage. So Twig's final shot, which happened to be a critical hit with piercing damage, dealt 28 damage to it. I have added 110 EXP to each of your character sheets. Congratulations, dragonslayers. Err, well, Dragon Wyrmling slayers.)
Twig grins, adrenaline still surging, and sighs in relief. She jogs towards the crystal tree, eyes and ears alert for any possible threat. As Twig nears the tree, her pace slows, and she eventually stops a few feet away from the tree, and drops to her knees, staring in awe.
Remembering Oliver, she looks back toward where she saw him last and beckons, knowing he’ll come when he’s ready. Her attention then returns to the magnificent tree.
The tree in front of Twig was huge. It was no wonder there was a pool at the base of the tree, it had to require a lot of water. Its bark seemed to be smooth, like glass, and the trunk looked to be made up of dozens of small trees all spiraled and braided together into endless knots. The leaves in the canopy of the tree were oddly-shaped. No one leaf was like another, it was as if the tree were actually a hundred trees weaved together. The light that radiated from its center extended to its leaves, creating a blue-white beacon that shone in every direction. The light wasn't steady, however. It pulsed and undulated, much like the orb that Prozhar held. This light, though, was much more serene and calm - not some thundering tempest of chaos and power. In short, it was beautiful, wonderful, inexplicable, and, undoubtedly, powerful.

Garth jogs over to the tree, and looks in wonder at it's majestic beauty. He then looked into the pool at the now dead dragon, and a thoughtful expression came over him.
"Never thought I'd come face to face with one of those, but lucky for us it doesn't seem to be full grown." He then tuned toward the hollow that appeared to have the remains of other adventurers. "Well, the spoils go to the victors. I say we go check out the loot before trying to get the bark our wizard friend needs. No telling if something more dangerous than the dragon will pop up in the next few minutes, so we might as see if there's better equipment to be had."
With that, he began to move towards the hollow, keeping his eyes on the surrounding trees in case of danger.

Why on earth is there a dragon here? Of all the impossibilities.... Maybe Rad was onto something?

Garth can't find any particular weak spots, but he does realize that this is a rather small dragon - it must be very young.
