Twig gets 10 arrows and rope from her pack, and uses the arrows to mark where the trees should be planted and the rope to make sure everything is aligned properly. She goes to one arrow, removes it, and begins to dig into the earth with her paws, requesting water from Cor if she hits any hard patches, and using her claws liberally.
Cor's idea with the decanter worked wonderfully. A hole was made in the barren earth and the dirt was cleared away for a small sapling to be planted. By the end of it, however, Cor and all of his belongings were brown with mud. It dripped off of him and he looked a bit like a Mud Mephit.

"Alight Garth, don't stab me. Let's get on to the next one. Rad please loosen this ground and let's blast it." The Mud Mephit says as he shambles over to the next spot
The group continued to dig holes and plant the saplings until mid-afternoon. When they had finished and cleaned themselves up with help from the Decanter and Cor’s Prestidigitation, the tree smiled at the group.
“What you have wrought,
Is not all for naught.
In this time of strife,
You bring the forest life.
You may have your token,
To make this land unbroken.
As a warning, please make haste,
This land does not have time to waste.
The evil stirs and starts to wake,
All things good are now at stake.”
With that said, a root broke through the ground near where they stood before retracting into the earth once more. As the root pulled back into the ground, a piece of bark about the size of a splayed-out hand sloughed off and remained in the dirt. The small trunks that made up the large one began to tighten their weave and the face disappeared behind them.
(OOC: Congratulations on getting the bark. I have added 50 EXP to each of your character sheets. Up to you on what to do, now. Good luck.)
A small chipmunk shimmied down the Crystal Tree with a tiny, glowing leaf held in its mouth. It ran over to Twig, clambered up her leg, and tucked itself in her pack with the leaf.
Twig smiled at seeing Oliver, and was particularly interested in that leaf he had brought back. “So, back to Farrin?” Twig picks up the bark from the Crystal Tree and examines it. She passes it to Cor so he may examine it if he wishes.
The bark still glows and it doesn't look like it will be dimming any time soon. It is remarkably thin, though doesn't seem particularly fragile despite its glass-like appearance.

"I think we're all in agreement to head to town and find out what the next ingredient is. I suggest we make haste to get out of the forest before night. Who knows what will make an appearance if we are stumbling through the forest at night."
He began to gather his things together as he spoke.
The group set out back toward Farrin. They passed where they thought they had seen the Dryad’s grove, but it was no longer there. They kept traveling, expending their rations and looking for wild game along the way. They were three days from Farrin when they set camp for the night. Cor was on second watch and saw a small shape scurry behind some brush before stumbling and letting out a small shout of alarm.

"What if we use the decanter to blast a whole in the ground? That stuff can really blast." Cor asks as he walks around looking over the saplings
Cor stands beside her with his decanter and prepares to use any magic he can to aid.
“Cor, you should see if you can blast a hole in the earth with the decanter. If it works it will be a great time saver”
If it doesn’t, the results could be quite comical...
Twig grins.
"Sure." Cor says happily as he aims the decanter at the ground and says geyser.
"Hang on, before you do that." Rad casts Thaumaturgy to create a small earth tremor in hopes of loosening up the earth around the area.

Seeing the efficiency of Cor’s methods, Twig steps back from her hole and keeps watch. She also looks to see if she can find Oliver.
Perhaps he doesn’t trust talking trees...

"I agree. I would like to return and figure out how to end this madness." Cor says to Rad
Cor takes the bark and examines it's to see what he can tell about it.

Cor shouts out, "Who's out there? We don't wish to cause harm to anyone so please reveal yourself."
A small blue Kobold comes out from the bushes and raises its hands. It shuffles closer and says "Food?" in Common.
At Cor's shout, the other members of the party wake up, though they're still a bit groggy.
