"Oh right I get it"the guard says "in that case she should just got to the place I told you 'bout earlier."He is referring to The Seven Stringed Harp located down on the riverfront.
"So, do you think it would be helpful if we offered our services to King Hekaton to investigate the death of his wife? Where is this island that she would meet with small folk? Or should we seek out King Hekaton himself or perhaps his daughter Serissa first?"
"So, do you think it would be helpful if we offered our services to King Hekaton to investigate the death of his wife? Where is this island that she would meet with small folk? Or should we seek out King Hekaton himself or perhaps his daughter Serissa first?"Devin asks Nirva
The Giant replies "to be honest I don't know. My clan does not stand high in the favour of the Countess Sansuri - you want to watch out for that one - who is the Cloud GIant's representative at King Hekaton's court which as far as I know is somewhere in The Trackless Sea"
"Affirmative. Extended Measuring equipment shall then be included in original list of necessary goods and resupply." D.O.R.K looks into her coin pouch and dumps out her ten remaining silvers into an open hand. "Hn. Insufficient. We may be required to offer other services."She claims as she starts heading back to Vark and Beedo. As soon as they are informed of their whereabouts, she spares one last look to the giants, her eyes flickering from yellow to red for a brief moment, and then back to Jaylen. "Is there anything else you wish to work on that may be done so in conjunction with our main focus?"She asks, motioning for Jaylen to follow as she leads the way to The Seven Stringed Harp.
Jaylen appears to be having a war with herself. Her face is going through various configurations ranging from anger to disappointment to resolution. "I ... have coin," she says through almost clenched teeth. "Let me know what you need. As for what else: Well, I feel very inadequate to the task I've been given. I've never been the type ... to engage." Her eyes flicker away from Dork in ... shame? deception? thought? "I'd like to know all the gifts bestowed upon me better so that I might serve my Lady better." Her eyes finally meet Dork's again, and now Dork can see they are almost pleading.
D.O.R.K watches the war rage without comment or reaction beyond a head cant at one point. That, and the closest thing she could muster as blink being her outright shutting and shutting back on her eye lights. She then reaches out (on her tippy toe, if need be) to pat Jaylen on the shoulder. "I have come to learn that inadequacy is to be expected out of all us; this operative included." She lets go to start rubbing at the symbol engraved in her head plate. "Upon reflection during my previous reversion of basic programs, I have confirmed that such feelings and other individual flaws were necessary to ensure the success of our mission."
"While I have not pieced together fully why this is, as I understand, we each possess the means of uncovering that truth through unity over the course of this journey. And in doing so, be tempered in the way others of our orders cannot or will not be able to guarantee a lasting victory. Or at the very least, pave the wave for those destined to acquire this ultimate goal in the name of our deities… even if they don't know it."D.O.R.K couldn't smile, but having known her for as long as she did, Jaylen could perhaps start to feel the warmth of one just looking at her.
"As for knowing /all/ the gifts bestowed upon you, as I said, I will do what I can to help. But it will be up to you to accept the challenges set before you each time... You are free to retreat. There is no shame in that. Yet, to do so, it must serve a grandeur purpose; such as to recover, reflect, and learn for next time. Just never rely on the one course always, or it will become the same as absolute surrender.... At least that's what my mentor used to say." She admits, and with a stiff shrug turned to continue leading the way.

"Where is this island that his wife met small folk at? Perhaps we will learn something there?" Devin says to Nirva.
Nirva replies "I am afraid I don't know. All I heard was that it was somewhere off the Sword Coast but that is 500 miles of coastline with a multitude of small and medium sized islands."His brother Jaral has been looking increasingly impatient and finally says "c'mon Nirva we've got to go." Both giants stand to their full height and start to lift off from the ground. When Nirva's feet are about two feet off the ground he looks down at Devin and says "if you come across Uncle Zeph in your travels. He is a bit eccentric but means well!" With that the Giants fly off into the Sky and the townspeople scatter to the various domiciles talking amongst themselves about what the Giants said.
So what does the party want to do next.

"If King Hekaton's wrath returns, then I do not think it unlikely that he will send giants to attack us 'small folk,' be those giants storm, cloud, fire, frost, hill, or iron,"Meiva replies, shrugging her shoulders slightly.
True to her request, Vark has yet to move Gol from the tail end of the crowd, and stayed on guard. Mostly. Beedo, on the other-hand, decided the best way to keep watch on the situation was to climb into Trayan's saddle, and take a nap. Even the chatter of dispersing townsfolk fail to wake him. After watching the duo ascend well out of sight as no more than specks, a very awestruck Vark just gestures and looks back and forth between Devin and the disappeared Cloud Giants.
As soon as Devin makes his wishes clear though, Vark snaps to attention and calls in Goblin to Beedo to do the same. As for D.O.R.K, she continues on to The Seven Stringed Harp.

The party make their way to The Seven Stringed Harp a large rambling inn on the waterfront of the Delimbiyr River directly behind the Village Square where the met with the Giants. As they arrive they see that it is a bustling place with warehouses and livery stables adjacent to it. The Swordcoast locals (Devin, Jaylen and Meiva), whilst never having visited Secomber, would be aware that it is the last major stop on the Delimbiyr route before it joins the Trade Way just north of Daggerford and that prior to at least five days travel in the wilderness, many caravans stock-up and resupply in the town.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
There sheer liveliness of the place, while a pale shadow compared to waterdeep, still took D.O.R.K aback. So much so, in fact, the living construct couldn't find words to speak, so she just looks up to expectantly looks up to Jaylan. Though if the human woman too proves at a loss, she looks for the most secluded and nerdy looking individual in the room to walk up to address with a cheery sounding, "Cheering! Error. Greetings... Correction accepted... A pleasure to meet you. Are you a merchant?"
D.O.R.K. looks for the most secluded and nerdy looking individual in the room to walk up to address with a cheery sounding,"Cheering! Error. Greetings... Correction accepted... A pleasure to meet you. Are you a merchant?" She finds finds a gnome standing there with a clipboard in hand and a pair of glasses perched on his nose. As D.O.R.K. speaks the Gnome looks up in surprise and says "by Nebelun's scorched eyebrows a construct that speaks. Never have I seen its like." He starts to walk around D.O.R.K. muttering to himself "good work indeed, beautiful workmanship and such intricate jointwork"A voice bellows out form across yard "Rumple have you got all those bills of lading worked out yet?" The Gnome catches himself with a start and yells back "almost."He then turns back to D.O.R.K. and says "a merchant, no I'm just a humble clerk!"
Devin makes sure that Gol is stabled for the night.
He then heads into the inn. When he enters he quickly looks around gauging the mood of the common room and looking over the different patrons. He then finds the innkeeper and approaches.
"I am in need of a room for the night. What kind of rooms do you have?"
"I am in need of a room for the night. What kind of rooms do you have?" Devin asks
"Well let me see, I have got the Rolden rooms that'll cost you 4 dragons a night per guest but you get a good meal, wine and, your own bed, a bath and a chit that gives you free feed and stabling for one mount, the Centaur rooms that'll cost you 8 shards per night per guest, but you get a meal, beer and two people to a bed and fifty per cent off stabling for a mount or I've got Fander rooms and that'll cost 5 shards per night per guest and you get what's on the spit, beer and four people to a bed." the innkeeper replies.
Having half-expected the reaction from a gnome, D.O.R.K reflexively went through the process of a limited demonstration of her form; such as flexing her fingers, raising and lowering her arms at her side, rolling her neck, and even squatting closer to Rumple's level with her neck exposed to better look at some underlying parts just visible past the outer layer of wood and metal bindings.
"Hm. Unfortunate. I am designated operative of Red Knight, but you may call me DORK, for short. Or red, if you prefer, Sir Rumple the Clerk." She extends her hand for a shake, then gestures over to Jaylen. "This Jaylen, Servent of Tymora. One of my... friends?"She looks to Jaylen, her tone having conveyed uncertainty. Eventually, the living construct goes on to say, "We seek a merchant. Specifically one that may deal in maps and measuring tools, or a traveling cartographer. Can you direct us to one, Sir Rumple the Clerk."
After tending to Traylan and Gol. Beedo strides into the tavern like he owns the place with a much more wary Vark behind him. The two make their way to their way to the bar(or the closest thing to look like one) with Beedo proclaiming/asking proudly, "Wat's a giant slayer gotta do to get a drink 'ound 'ere?"

Torunn grabs his pack and supplies and heads straight into the inn, behind Devin. At hearing the prices for the rooms, Torunn thinks for a moment before saying to the Innkeeper, "I will take a Rolden room. I am very much behind on my work, is there any chance i could have the food brought to my room." Torunn hands over the 4gp and any extra if required, depending on what the Innkeeper says.
When he has his key, Torunn will start to walk away but stops as if remembering something. He then turns around and walks back to the innkeeper. "One more thing good sir. I have heard that a famed alchemist by the name Amelior Amantis, resides in this town. Would you be able to point me in the right direction? I really would like to meat this man."

Meiva watches with wide eyes as the giants fly away.
"How can we ever hope to fight so many of such huge creatures, if it comes to that?" she wonders aloud, shaking her head.
(She says that after the giants are comfortably far away, of course!)
And that's all I have to say about that.
Jaylen is following Dork.
"Who said we'll have to fight them?"
Devin looks at her with a smile.
"C'mon, there has to be an inn and a tavern somewhere in this town. I dont want to sleep on the ground tonight."
Devin looks around for Gol.
"And stabling for big guy here."
If Devin can't find this on his own he'll ask around till they do.
