Devin hears a soft susuration as if robes had just brushed against something solid and the curtain parts some 15-16 feet above his head and a face peers through. Devin can see that the figure has windswept white hair, a wispy white beard, and what appears to be clothing (he can only see the collar) which appears to be purple robe adorned with gold stars. A friendly voice says "home of course I am home, where else would I be - hmm?" The figure looks toward the entrance-way where he can see Lukian, Meiva and Toruun all peering around in amazement and then disappears back behind the curtain and you all hear a voice yelling out "you said that there would be five and two hangers on, I count only four! Are you trying to trick me again?"The face then pops back through the curtain looks down at Devin and says "what is your name young man and where are you from?"
Seeing the giants head first pop out of the curtain and back in, Lukian steps through the door and approaches Devin, stopping five feet behind the human. His face shows interest, but no mirth. "Lukian of the house Silverspear, servant of Lathander, from the Ardeep Forest," the elf proclaims, not waiting to be asked. "Were you looking for ... us?" he asks, faltering over the pronoun, but attempting to sound sure.
The face and the rest of the figure - yes surprise surprise it is a Cloud giant - steps through the curtain and says "well met Devin of Waterdeep and Lukian of Ardeep. My name is Zephyros of the house Alv-venn. My young nephews call me Uncle Zeph so I suppose you had better do so as well. Welcome to my abode." He looks at Devin and Lukian and says "What are your colleague's name? Yes I can see you Mr Dwarf and Ms Elf lurking around my front door!"Without waiting for an answer he continues "my friends, well at least I think they are my friends but you can never be to sure these days, said there was five in your party but I only see four. Has one of you, how do they say it, yes had an unfortunate experience with a hard or sharp object - hmm?
Torunn steps forward, feeling a little at ease and rests the musket on his shoulder, before giving a slight bow. "My name is Torunn, a Cleric of Gond from the island of Lantan."
Two goblins bustle forward inside having just awoken from stupor in viewing the building from just inside the doorway. "Oi! Make dat seven! Or eight, if we count'n Mr. G. Ya daft old ****!" Beedo pipes up, eliciting a facepalm from his cohort. "Boss Lady's on the ground keep'n Mr. G company wile my brovah 'n I make sure yer on 'e up 'n up! 'n, ya know, don't put any of'em moves on 'e rest of 'er friens, ya see? Now wat's 'is 'bout some sharp objects and unfortuante 'sperience? 'cause 'e only one I can recall any of us 'ad a problem wit' involved 'is one fat, giant minger one day, 'en 'ese two sily less fat 'e o'a day. 'n let me tell ya, 'avin two 'eads ain't make 'em any less of a minger, if ya get me." Beedo gives him a wink.
By then, Vark is dragging his hands down his face. "I fink 'es talk'n 'bout a stone. Ya know, 'e one boss lady's friens' grilled us 'bout back in w'en we first met'em." The more reserved of the pair states dryly as he looks up to the giant.
"One of us," Lukian decides to speak, "is still below. With the elephant. Did you say you are called Uncle Zeph?" he asks, changing the subject. "Secomber recently had the pleasure of a visit from Nirva and Jaral. They mentioned you ... but I can't remember now in what context," the elf lies. "Are they the nephews of whom you speak?"
"Please ignore this one," He said to Uncle Zeph. "He is, after all, a goblin. As the other's mention, one of us is still below, with our ride, an elephant. We did meet your nephews in Secomber, Nirva and Jaral and they did mention you to us. It is a pleasure to meet you. The elf here," motioning to Meiva "Is Meiva. DORK is down below. Thank you for welcoming us into your home. It is quite grand."
"Please ignore this one," He said to Uncle Zeph. "He is, after all, a goblin--"
Both Goblins look on offended by the comment. Or at least Vark seemed so, while Beedo -- in a show a surprising amount of great restraint -- bites his lips and just flips Devin the bird. And he didn't care one Iota if Devin or the others saw it. After which he and Vark says something, and the two begin arguing something in goblin.

The giant bursts into a roar of laughter at Beedo's antics and Devin's response."Well met Toruun of Lantan, that is a veritable giant killer you have there! I'm guessing it was a suggestion from Gond as its much better to deal with my kind from a distance but you will only get one shot off so you might want to think about that."He then turns to Meiva and says "welcome to my house, Meiva of wherever, you may come all the way in - I don't bite you know."To Luskian he says "Yes, Yes Nirva and Jaral are my sister's sons. You say they were in Secomber recently, and they didn't drop in to say hello, I will have to tell their mother to have words with them! I wonder what they are doing there? You don't know do you? Finally he turns to the party as a group and says "my friends said that there were five of you and so five of you there shall be!"He turns to Beedo and says with a grin "so why don't you go and get your colleague. How does it go - up 'n up although in your case out 'n down might be more appropriate" Before Beebo can react he finds himself gently lifted from the floor to a height of 30 feet and shortly thereafter a gentle gust of wind starts to blow him out the door and over the edge of the cloud where he finds himself being lowered to the ground.
Lukian seems a bit distracted by the activity surrounding the goblins, watching with not much emotion, but answers nonetheless, "They said they were looking for the remains of a cloud giant castle that crashed near the town some time ago."
In the scant time Beedo has to even belatedly react, his cries of surprise soon turn into a long drawn out curse in common as he disappears out of sight. For most of that time, Vark watches bug-eyed until Beedo's words become too faint to hear. He then turns back to the giant, looks back to the way Beedo flew, then looks to the others. With an audible gulp, he assumes a more professional straight-back and chin up stance, becoming every bit an exemplary guard as he stood next to the others.
Meanwhile...
Both D.O.R.K and Golemogote look up to a rain of curses in both common and goblin, looking more confused than alarmed over the whole thing. After getting a rather colorful story about events, and subsequently placating her Acolyte with the promise of both a reward and adding etiquette lessons to their daily routine, the construct leaves Beedo in charge of guarding Golemogote on her way up the cloudy stairs. Her eyes are red by the time people see her enter, and Door Knocker rested on her shoulder and in hand, ready for use at a moment's notice.
She's silent for a moment. Though either after its passing, or at the first sign the giant is about the say anything, D.O.R.K cuts in. "Acolyte Vark. Your new assignment is to guard Golemgote along with Acolyte Beedo. Execute Order Seven, in case of an emergency." She commands all without taking her off giant. Vark's expression hardens at the order, and with a curt nod he bustles down the stairs to join his fellow goblin and elephant friend. After all is said and done, D.O.R.K says nothing, but appears expectant all the same.
"They said they were looking for the remains of a cloud giant castle that crashed near the town some time ago."Lukian says.
"Aah yes I too have heard that story but if my nephews told you it was only a few years ago I am afraid they have been playing somewhat fast and loose with the true because as I recall it was some thousands of years ago that the castle crashed." About now D.O.R.K. walks into the castle. Upon her appearance Zephyros says "aah yes this was the fifth one I was waiting for! How are you named?"
D.O.R.K remains silent for a length moment. "... This one is a Designated Operative of the Red Knight. You may call me Dork, for sake of convenience." She states tonelessly, and bows just enough at the waist so that her eyes stayed glued on the giant at all times. "Query: Why have you summoned me? Additional Query: What function do you serve in regards to the current upheaval of the Ordnig?"

"Time is relative, is it not, Uncle?" Lukian asks, a smile brightening his face. "To this human, my two centuries make me ancient, yet to my people, I am still young. What is 'some thousands of years' to one race may be described as 'some time ago' by another. I believe the ambiguous word your kin used was 'eons'."
"Query: Why have you summoned me? Additional Query: What function do you serve in regards to the current upheaval of the Ordnig?" D.O.R.K. asks
"I have not summoned you. Rather I have been told by my friends that in relation to the recent shattering of the Ordining that a party such as yours had been charged by the gods with how shall we say resolving the issue. I further understand that an event related to achieving your goal will take place in the town of Triboar later this month on or near to Day 4, Third Ten-day."Zephyros says.
"Who are your friends and how do you know this? Do you know what will happen?" Devin asks, his interest piqued by this information. He watches with smug satisfaction as Beedo is taken away.
D.O.R.K's grip visibly tightens on the handle of her hammer. Eventually, she shrugs it off her shoulder and in one practiced motions lets the head of it drop onto the before her. With both hands then rested atop the butt of the weapon, she takes on a similar regal poise as Vark tried to effect earlier. As innocuous as the whole display was, Torunn would recognize it as the closest thing the construct came to being subtle about something 'displeasing' her. Other than this, however, red-eyed Dork was content to stand back and let the others question the giant.

Devin looks up at the man. He can't help but smile and the seemingly friendly face.
"I am Devin, from Waterdeep."
He answers.

And that's all I have to say about that.
Devin groaned aloud as Beedo started talking,
"Ugh! Beedo, shut up!" He yelled at the goblin.
"Please ignore this one," He said to Uncle Zeph. "He is, after all, a goblin. As the other's mention, one of us is still below, with our ride, an elephant.
