"Who are your friends and how do you know this? Do you know what will happen?" Devin asks
At Devin's question, Zephyros looks a bit confused scratches his bald pate and explains "my friends - well at least that what I call them - sometimes tell me things when I ask. And lately I have been asking about the breaking of the Ordining and what it means for both us Giantfolk and you Smallfolk. But no, I do not know who they are and unfortunately they do not - it appears - always tell the whole truth. Consequently I do not know exactly what will happen, only that it is important!"
"Fair enough, you do not answer to us. Any way you wanna give us a ride to this town?" Devin grins as he asks, thinking it a long shot, but hey, if you don't ask the answer is no.
"Fair enough, you do not answer to us. Any way you wanna give us a ride to this town?" Devin grins as he asks Zephyros.
"As it happens I was planning on flying over Triboar to see if what my friends told me was true. You are most welcome to stay aboard as we make our way there which I would estimate will take 11 days or so. I would ask if you decide to come onboard that you stay here on the ground floor and not come up to first floor or the Ayrie where I control the castle from. Are you ready to leave now because as the say in one of the old books from the Netherese Empire, the sooner we leave, the sooner we will get there, I think? Or something like that I can't remember anymore!" Zephyros responds.
"I don't see why we can't leave right away. What about our elephant though? Can you take him also or do we need to leave him behind. 11 days flying is how long by foot? "
That's right you did say you have an elephant, although by Stronmaus, I don't know where you got that from. Never mind I have a solution!" and with that he strides out to edge of the cloud and with almost childish glee in his voice yells out "Geronimo" as he leaps off.
Shortly thereafter Beedo and Vark see Zephyros land. He turns to Beedo and in an attempt to imitate Beedo's accent - admittedly poorly - he says "Oi shit for brains, where is dis elephant wot you got 'idden? Yur mates up da stairs wanta come for a trip in me castle and need 'elp gettin da elephant up dose stairs. Never min' I seen 'im" as he looks around and spying Golemgite peacefully browsing from a bush raises his staff and points at it at Golemogote ...
"I do not like the sound of that." D.O.R.K's confesses, and soon after takes off trying to catch up to a pace that by far outstripped her own. She stops at the edge, however. If the fall is no more than thirty feet, she takes the plunging praying less for luck and more her joints survive enough of the shock to roll out of the fall. And if not, she runs for the stairs.
"So, 'e plan iz ta follow after'em if 'e takes off wit'em, right?"Vark nods enthusiastically. "Dat ain't much of a plan, ya know." Vark nods solemnly. "Ya know, if 'ere ever was a more perfect time to leave--." Vark glares at Beedo, and Beedo quickly raises his hands in defense. "Just say'n! Ain't like da boss would -- Oh would'ja stop wit' 'e look'n at me like dat! You 'eard w'at dat hume said 'bout us. Call us just gobbos!"
Vark frowns, then quirks a brow and gives Beedo a meaningful look. "Okay, not Gobbos, but its still just as bad! 'nd fink about it! We train 'is 'ere bad boy up a bit more 'nd we can go show boss 'ark 'nd his cronies a fing or two about talk'n shit 'bout us! 'Fore we show'm da way to the Red Lad--I mean Malglubiyet! Mal-****'n 'ell! Now she's got say'n it."Vark smirks, and starts to open his mouth to say something. The boom, slight as it may be, from the giant landing cuts him off. The two are so startled by it, that Beedo just barely gets out a, "Who ya call'n shit fer brains, ya wrinkled ****!"and shakes his fist. Then he notices the staff and with an "oh ****!"dives off to the side just as Vark does the same way from Golemogote.

Torunn seems quite excited by the possibility of 11 days to work on his projects. When Zephyros returns, Torunn will approach him, "Good sir, if we are to have 11 days to kill, I would like to work on another one of the projects sent to me in my dreams from my God, that could be helpful in the upcoming conflict. You wouldn't have any scrap metal would you?"
A beam of green light spears out from the Giant's staff and suddenly the Goblin's find themselves looking at an Elephant that is now 20 feet tall at the shoulder and a cart that can only be described as huge. D.O.R.K. leaps off the last few steps in order to hear Zephyros cackle "Whoops! Wrong button!" He then pushes another button a beam of brown light flashes out and Golemogote (and the cart) are reduced back to normal size and then another brown ray hits and Golemogote is now 5 feet high at the shoulder and then a final brown ray hits and Golemogote is now two and a half feet tall at the shoulder. Zephyros looks at D.O.R.K. with pride and says "that should do it or should I make him smaller?"
"NO!" Both Vark(quick to recover) AND Construct shout comically in unison at the Giant. As the two hustle over to make sure mini-Mr. G was alright, Beedo looks between the staff and giant. Then glances over to the two pampering acolytes... then to staff... then to duo, now hugging Golem... then back to the giant. Beedo puts on his most winning smile and says, "So, uh... Can that be like permanent, and uh... works on Goblins? If its not, 'at's okay too! Just uh.. wonde'n fer a friend. Figured 'e could be a few more inches ta'er." He winks.
Trust Beedo to find the angle. "That was fun, always wanted to do that." Zephyos says with grin. He turns to Beedo and "why do you want to be smaller, aren't you small enough? Not that there is anything wrong with that mind you!"he says hurriedly. "Now shall we all get aboard?"Zephyros asks.
Assuming that D.O.R.K. say yes - Zephyros says "well then up, up and away the TAA, the friendly way" and suddenly D.O.R.K., cradling Golemogote, and Vark feel themselves much lighter as they lift off the ground. Beedo who has been there before simply says to quote a famous bowl of petunias "oh no, not again!" as the party is gently lifted off the ground. Beedo and Vark are carrying the cart between them as they make their way back to the castle. Halfway up, Golemogote starts struggling in D.O.R.K.'s and starts to grow. Zephyros notices and a beam of brown light flashes from his staff and Golemogote shrinks back to being two and a half feet tall at the shoulder. Eventually the party reaches the castle and makes their way inside. Zephyros says "please make yourselves comfortable, I am a little tired after all that excitement so I will go and get us moving and then have a little lie-down." He then moves up through the hole in the ceiling which is 100 feet above the floor the party is standing on. "Oh by the way please make sure you don't come up here and that somebody cleans up the elephant poop."
Zephyros' voice floats down from up above "I'll see what I can find in the way of scrap metal."
(OOC: the Party should have all the equipment they needed from stocking up in Secomber and it is time to vote again. Please PM with your choice for SBL, SBA or SBR and 1, 2 & 3 for best RP from the time the party left Ardeep way back on 3 Feb (Post #665). For those of you who are interested the offering is SBL, SBR &/or SBA = 390 XP, Best Overall RP = 1170, 2nd Best RP = 975, third best RP = 585 and the rest = 390 XP. I'm sending a PM about this as well)
Just as soon as Beedo and Vark are done pulling the cart inside and just out of the entryway, Beedo slumps onto the ground. "How does he do it?" He asks, huffing and puffing. To which Vark, who hardly looked as if he broke much of a sweat just shrugs, then looks to D.O.R.K and the others. But namely the others, as D.O.R.K had been busy getting Golemogote settled down near the duo. Entrusting watch of the mini-mammal to Vark with a look, the construct turns to address the others with arms folded behind herself, chin up, and back straight; looking every bit like a commander.
"Attention, Everyone. Attention. We all know our current objective, but I shall repeat it for absolute clarity. We are to investigate the town of Triboar for further insight into our final objective. Until then, we have eleven days to prepare for this event. In an effort to ensure this time is not squandered, it is recommended that at least one of us focus on gathering as many details about current and previous giant activities from our host, along with information on notable entities among their ranks that will be either of aid or hinder to our goals. Potentially. In addition, every morning there will be combat drills, and discussion on simple code words to use in case of emergencies after our respective acknowledgements to our patron deities. While I will not demand that you all participate in these, it is heavily recommended to limit future occurrence of trouble."
D.O.R.K takes a moment to let those words sink in. "Furthermore. Though our method of current travel is unique, it is not without its own set of dangers. Many of which will be far more deadly than any we may have faced on a grounded expedition. Please use caution, and respect the wishes of our Host whenever feasible." D.O.R.K finally turns to her Brother(if around). "Brother... Acolyte Torunn. While I understand that you are eager to get your next project into motion. It would be appreciated that any spare time be devoted to putting the final touches on Beedo's armor." Her eyes go from neutral yellow to red. "Query: You did procure the remaining tools you would need for this task, yes?"She asks.

Devin watches from the top of the stairs to see what happens. He gives a play by play to the others as the elephant grows and then shrinks.
"Holy moly he shrunk Gol!" Amazing!" He exclaims excitedly.
"And we're riding a floating castle for 11 days!"
Devin is as giddy as a little kid.

"Yes...Eleven...days...." she repeats quietly, knuckles turning white from how hard she is clenching her hands.
Meiva will hurry inside as soon as she can.
And that's all I have to say about that.
Meiva - the cloud is quite solid and you can stand outside and watch the view if you want!
