"An excavation? I have more pressing matters than digging something up out of the ground. I'm organizing a defense of the village right now. That is my priority. I wish I could get more personnel but this is what I can get on short notice. I don't have people to spare for other activities right now. If it's buried leave it, hidden in the ground is the best place for it. As for giants, I know no reason for them to come here. Did Hyuth Kolstaag tell you about something?"
D.O.R.K's eyes flickers red a few times, but then settles back into their neutral yellow. "Yes. He directed us to our dig site. Upon further investigation, and the blessing of my brother's patron-..." She gestures over to Torunn if he is about, "Deity, the Father granting further insight into our discovery. A member...Oh. Interesting. It occurs to me that I should have been using the word initiate for them for some time now. How foolish. Hah. Hahaha. Hah. I am starting to understand the discrepancy."
The light in the construct's eyes flicker again before she looks to the Lord Protector once more. "My apologies for the deviation. In answer: Our discovery are the remains of a powerful giant creation, a construct similar but unlike me, and of far greater size and destructive capabilities. Normally, this would not be a concern. But due to recent upheaval in their hierarchy, it is only a matter of time. You will wish to at least send word to any allies as soon as possible."

I simply can't muster more than what I have at the moment. But if you and the members of your party can help us now perhaps we can help you dig this thing up when we are done."

OOC: I am back now
Torunn let's D.O.R.K do all the talking as he focuses on the images that flashed in his head, trying to apply his own knowledge to see if there is anything he can do to either control or dismantle the construct.
"And can someone head north to Foehammer's Forge also? Find Ghelryn and tell him orcs are coming. That'll get his blood boiling, he hates orcs. Straight north on the Long Road on the west side of the road."
Devin calls back,
"Ya, we'll do that!"
As Devin gets with the others before heading to the Northshield House he'll tell Torunn.
"This one sounds right up you alley. Straight north on the Long Road is a forge with a dwarf named Ghelryn. Can you get him? Darathra says to tell him about orcs. He'll get worked up about that."
D.O.R.K just stands there for a moment, uncertain who to follow before motioning for at Vark to go help Beedo finish burying the giant construct. Afterwards, she turns to Darathara and asks, "Is there another of your number in reserve that I or another should seek, that you have neglected to consider?"

"These aren't reserves, they are members of the community that I can think of that won't hide in their cellars if orcs raid the village. If I think of anyone else I'll let you know."
OOC: I have to admit I have no idea where everyone is in relation to Lukian, so we're going to just take some creative license and ...
Lukian closes his eyes for a second, then opens them wide. "I believe I may have seen our future foes," he says. "On the way here, I witnessed two fire giants traveling this way. Accompanying them were between 10 and 12 smaller creatures, half of which appeared to be mounted on giant bird-like creatures. The distance was far, and I'm not positive of what I saw, but that is what I think I saw."
(@DDP: Z'all good. Everyone at the pit with exception of maybe Meiva and Beedo had followed after to find out the commotion.)
D.O.R.K eyes turn red, and without further warning she tries to grab Lukian by the shoulders, gripping hard. "It was irresponsible to not report this sooner! In the future, I /strongly/ advise being more forthcoming. I cannot perform my duty otherwise. Query: Is this understood?" She asks, glaring up at Lukian. Until she had an answer, unfavorable one or not, Lukian is set free. "There will not be much time. If they are wise, they will use their smaller forces as shock troops and a distraction. I will gather my apprentice to try and further secure their target location. But the rest of the village need to be warned and prepared -- Lord Protector." She whips around to Darathara if she hadn't run off. "Is there any more secure locations than just the cellar that the people can be evacuated to?"

As the party turns into the road that they had been told that Northshield House was on - where they could find Urgala Meltimer - they pass a large warehouse with a sign hanging out the front of a stylised Golden Lion on a blue background - the same sign that was out the front of the store in Nightstone Village - when a young boy rushes up to them “Sirs....” and looking somewhat confusedly at D.O.R.K., Beedo and Vark, “and things, the Lord Protector says you should also talk to Narth Trevino, who can be found in there” pointing to the warehouse “as he is always asking what he can do to help!” He thinks for a minute and then continues “but she suggests don’t let his partner in on it as she is not terribly adventurous!”
D.O.R.K gives the boy the red eye treatment for a few moments."Curious.. Very well."She turns to her goblins. "Acolyte Vark and Beedo. Return to the campsite for now. See if you can figure out a means to booby trap the area against giants."The two give wicked grins and salute her unison. "Aye, aye, boss Lady. We'll 'ave da place rye 'n troubl'n we will!" Beedo declares before running off with Vark in tow. D.O.R.K will meanwhile continue to follow after Devin.

Devin nods in agreement to D's response to Darathra's request.
"If giants attack the village while we are here I see no reason why we would not aid in the defense. Our lives would be in danger as well."
Turning to D.
"I'll head to the Northshield House and find this Urgala Meltimer."
He'll head up the road indicated.
As Devin turns to leave Darathra calls to Devin.
