Not so sure, but feeling exhausted and depleted of his magic Devin looks to the others. "Rest here and confront this beast when they return? I hope Lukian got away safely. What say you? D needs the rest for sure. Seems this is creature is a scourge on the area and must be destroyed."
"Fo Sure." Vark had added in agreement, as he looked down at D.O.R.K. Meanwhile, Beedo finishes doing... whatever it was he was doing, and looks to Devin grinning. "Finally find ya balls? Good ya, Dinkle. Boss always sayz you 'ad it in ya. Just 'ad to dig deep between 'ose scrawny legs of yers 'n give'm a nice tug!" Beedo laughs boisterously at that, and holds up a hand to Vark, to which his fellow goblin only reciprocates halfheartedly with a return high five.
"'ey, 'ey, 'ey, 'ey! I'm just break'n ya balls, no need to start mean mug'n me. But seriously. See'n as Boss ain't 'xactly fit to move, 'n still owes me a Vark 'ere at least our severance pay 'fore biting it, I don't see why not. I'm go'n a'ead 'n see if I can get ta Princess Sunny, fer 'e gets any funny ideas."With that, Beedo pulls up his pants at the hip, gives Devin the two fingered salute, then lingers a moment in case there's some message needing passing along prior to trying to extract himself from the chamber.
Devin rolls his eyes from the comments of Beedo. "Princess Sunny?" Most of the time I have idea what you are talking about. But yeah, D needs a chance to do whatever she is doing right now."
Wrinkling his nose he looks the dead Orogs. Then looking a the woman he replaces the look.with a friendly smile.
"Any place better than this to rest? Sleeping next to these dead guys doesn't interest me. And I'm Devin, what's your name?""
"Any place better than this to rest? Sleeping next to these dead guys doesn't interest me. And I'm Devin, what's your name?"
The female Orc looks at Devin with a look of bemusement "if you don't want to sleep with this lot then move them. One advantage is that they don't snore I suppose. This lot and the others used to call me the Wicked Queen but my actual name is Birutė."
"Glad to make your acquaintance ma'am, I am Ebonitus. " says Ebonitus. Then more generally he says "Well we need to do three things: Get a message to Lukian to let him know what is happening; get some rest to recover ourselves; and prepare the lair to ambush and attack the fiend on his return."
Once he is fairly certain that Dork is good to restart, he leaves her in the goblins care and heads over to the conversation with the newcomer orc. "The names Torunn, Inventor in the name of Gond." He then turns to Ebonitus, "Ambush you say? I may have a few tricks up my sleeve."
DM, how many entrances are there to our current spot in the cave?
Seeing none had more for him, Beedo departs as intended, knowing and not relishing the lengthy trip required to get to Lukian.
As for Vark, he tries to set D.O.R.K's body into what he assumed was a comfortable position for her, seeing as her most restful state often involved it. And when when he can't quite get her arms to stay wrapped around her legs, he gave up, and settled for just laying her out somewhere by the mats in a regular humanoids more typical posture of repose. A strenuous process for the lone goblin, as the living construct weighed far more than what her small, almost dwarf-sized body mighty otherwise imply in a glance.
Afterwards, he set to work removing the various metal plates strapped to Orog bodies and setting them aside, presuming Torunn might have a go with them. If not by his own volition, then certainly -- hopefully at the goblin's request for a replacement of arms. That, and maybe nudge him about maybe resizing them.

Whilst Vark is retrieving Lukian, Torunn will gather the group, "If we want to set up camp here and even possibly prepare an ambush, I have a few ideas. Firstly, we will need to remove the bodies, but if we could retrieve any large pieces of metal that would be very helpful as I am going to prepare a few traps from the metal." He then looks around the group, "Does anyone know any spells that can either be used to hide traps or act as traps themselves? I am going to prepare some large metal spikes to be scattered around the entrance, but if they could be hidden, they might be more effective." He pauses and lets the group take in his thoughts.
DM: I basically want Torunn to use his Artisan's blessing to reforge the scrap metal armour and such into metal spikes which he would place at the entrance to their cave.
"I can. I can create a Glyph of Warding. I will write explosive runes that can be triggered when the group gets chose. The glyph erupts with magical energy in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on the glyph. I will need to rest and have time to pray to renew my spells in the morning."
Vark just shook his head, knowing no special means of masking the spikes. Beedo was the clever one, and he was long gone at this point. Remembering the same goblin's mentioning of rats, Vark begins the arderous process of dragging naked Orog bodies into the rat alcove of a room.

"Were you the ruler until this pit fiend came along?" Devin inquires
"Not ruler, mate was Chief, was Den Mother and looked after little 'uns." Birute responds.
"When do you expect them to return tomorrow?"Devin asks
"Is half day march to main road will spend time setting up ambushes on road, or raid small villages, then half to one day march back, slower if they have prisoners. Not expect them before moon rise tomorrow night."Birute responds.
(OOC: any other questions people need answers on?)
To the party in General, "DORK is our only front line fighter, so I think we need to make him more resilient in battle. The Earthmother has bestowed upon me a spell to do this, but it needs two platinum rings - reusable. Do we have 10 pieces of platinum that perhaps Toruun could fashion into two rings, and could this be done before tomorrow's battle?" asks Ebonitus.

The following morning Devin spends his time in prayer preparing the spells needed for the expected fight. He then finds a suitable rock and spends an hour completing the complicated spell that creates the Glyph of Warding. Explosive Runes appear on the rock and then fade away. It now looks almost like any other rock that is strewn on the flow of the cave.
"So Torunn, I have set the glyph to ward for a fiend. When any fiend comes within 10 feet of this glyph it explodes and any creature within a 20 feet blast radius gets hit with debilitating cold. It'll even go around corners. That'll give the fiend and its party a nice welcome."
He carefully sets the rock in the middle of the entrance of the cave.
"He can't miss it here."
When the time of the ambush/fight he will be up on what looks to be a ledge on the east wall of the cave just south of the NW passage in the top right corner of the map.
As the group makes their preparations, Torunn will go collect some of the armour that Vark has removed from the Orogs, He then goes to his backpack, pulls out a few items and mutters a prayer to Gond. Torunn then creates sacred flame in his hand and gets to work remoulding the scrap metal into two platinum rings.
An hour later, Torunn finds Ebonitius and presents the rings. "I hope these suit your requirements."
Torunn will then tell the group that he will happily take a later watch, but is feeling rather exhausted and will turn in for the night.
Ebonitus excitedly takes the rings from Toruun and inspects them, "These will do very nicely," he says.
To Birute he says "Are there any other entrances to this complex and is there anywhere else within this complex that we need to be wary of? We know about the roper and the piercers to the east of the main cavern (assuming North is top of map), but is there anything else? Oh and one more thing, if we kill the creature from the pit, will the other orogs respond more positively towards us or will we need to kill them too?"
(OOC: I assume the main entrance is where we came in at the bottom of the map and this is where we expect the Orogs and Fiend to return. I also assume the round things in the middle of the cavern are rocks/stalagmites - are there more piercers above this area?)
D.O.R.K eventually comes to around the same time that Torunn is finishing up with the platinum rings. Vark is quick to greet her with a haphazard salute, though recieves a jerky one in response. "R-r-r-r-report, V-v-v-... Acolyte Vark." She stuttered out while the left eye kept blinking on and off again. Though the goblin is put off for a moment, remembering at least one of her maintenance lessons, Vark slaps the side of her head a few times as one would an old tv, stabilizing the 'blinking' fit.
"Ah.. that is better. Much.. b-b-better. Where-...?" She trails off there, choosing to scan their surroundings. "... Ah... But not captured... "The living construct adds, before then giving the goblin a meaningful look. At which point, assuming the others do not beat him to the punch, Vark in his own way give D.O.R.K enough of a run down to begin drawing a rough battle map in her book; including possible suggested paths and points of defense.
Several times, in fact. But each time she came close to finishing one, she grew uncertain, and would try to start over again and again and again.
(@All: Also, not sure it's been noticed yet, but I've been playing a bit with the map and will hopefully be able to get around to explaining the add-ons as Dork's/Vark's input on where everyone/thing is suggested to be placed for the ambush.)
"Safe to rest here, Pit Creature not come back for one more night" the female Orc replies
