Vark awakens again coughing up mud and blood and mentally swearing at everything. A few of those swears might have even came out in a whisper as he slowly but surely got his wits about him again. The moment the memories come flooding back to the forefront, he forces himself to scramble to the one side, having half expected another axe to come down on already severely scarred body.
Seeing none forthcoming in the ensuing seconds, but realizing the 'boss' was done, he hesitates for a moment. Then the expression hardens as righteous fury and goblin spite spurs him to action. In the next moment, heartbreaker is once more snatched up as he sought to flank Lucky's exposed back while he was too busy taunting Torunn, and then chop the Orog down at the back of the knees.
Movement(Vark): Stand up and flank Lucky(if possible).
Action(Vark): Heartbreaker Attack with Extra Attack on Lucky! #1 (Lethal)Battleaxe - Attack:26 Damage: 4 non-magical slashing. #2 (Lethal)Battleaxe - Attack:11 Damage: 9 non-magical slashing.

Tirohia te Moana - Level 2 Cleric - What shall we do with the Drunken Sailor?
Ebonitus de Viribus - Level 4 Cleric - The Storm King's Thunder - The Gods Respond.
(OOC: I thought DORK was up, healed by Devin in post #2618.)
(@Whatwall: Oh yeaaa. I see! Oof. It's been a minute. There's also been a lot of up and downs going on.)
As Vark stands triumphantly over the Orog looking rather smug for a change, he starts hearing a popping noise, and looks back to see D.O.R.K twitch and spark to life. As with so many times before in the fight, she rose again dragging her maul up along the way, and looked about expecting to strike in the next few seconds. Seeing only a field of corpses around, her guard relaxes, if only just... until she lays eyes on Birute and the cave bear.
While still keeping an eye on the woman, she staggered her way over to an increasingly worrisome looking Vark and places a hand on the shoulder. "Stand firm." He winces, but after a moment the magic does its work, turning the worst of the cuts into weeks old looking scars. "Dual Inquiry: Is this sufficient? Are there any more that we need to concern ourselves with?"She calls out the request, still holding onto her maul. She shoots a quick glance to Torunn, making sure he still yet stand.
It is at that point Vark looks around in confusion. "Beedo?" He asks noone in particular. But soon enough, he darts away to check the dead for any signs of a crushed goblin body. Along the way, if he spots Prince Charmging (I think that was the horned Orc)'s weapon, assuming it too large for him to carry, he'd determinedly start dragging it around.
Action: Cast (2nd level)Cure Wounds on Vark, restoring 9. (assuming initiative still matters for whatever reason)
Devin climbs down from the ledge he was on and joins the others. When he hears Vark call for Beedo he gets a very angry look on his face.
"I was just thinking I had pegged him wrong but then the bugger ran away." Devin raises his voice, his anger clear, "You hear me Vark? Beedo ran away, out of the cave and is gone. The coward ran, probably still running. Some Red Knight he turned out to be."
Trying to compose himself he moves away a short distance. He then sits down and casts Cure Wounds for 13 hp on himself.
Lukian's ears perk at the mention of Beedo running away. He cocks an eyebrow, but doesn't comment. After seeing everyone on their feet, the elf heads outside to check on the halflings.
As the party is checking themselves over and healing where appropriate Birute approaches Devin "my thanks for your assistance in helping me to reclaim the caverns and gain revenge for my mate."She then gives a whistle and about 10 orclings of various ages come out of the section of the caves she had been guarding. The two largest ones (not much more than goblin size) come up to her and she whispers something to them. They then point to the next two in size and indicate they are to follow them. Shortly afterwards they reappear carrying - albeit struggling a lot - between them: an ornate helm, a large shield, a great axe and a pair of gauntlets which they place at Birute's feet. She points to the shield, the axe and gauntlets saying "these were my mate's and if he had been wearing them then Prince Charming may not have got the drop on him'; you're welcome to them. The helm is a mystery to me?"
(OOC: its voting time - pls send me a PM allocating 3 votes to the overall best RP'er, 2 votes to the overall best RP'er, 1 vote to the overall best RP'er, and advice on the single best line/reaction.)
Vark taken aback for a moment, confused the next, angry at Devin a moment later, and then finally speculative after opening his mouth only to abandon whatever caustic remark had initially been in mind. Hearing the same declaration, D.O.R.K actually cocks her head to the side in confusion. "Ran away? Red knight? I believe there's been a misunderstanding." She is able to get out as much, but is then somewhat incidentally cut off by Birute approaching Devin with her claims. Even with the Orc mother's thanks and concerns of Beedo floating in mind, she stayed wary until the gifts were presented to the party.
"Your contribution and offering is appreciated. We shall certainly make great of them in the battles to come."With that, unless someone scooped up the equipment, she and Vark after some nudging would take up the gear with Vark having discarded the Prince Charming's weapon in favor of holding on to the gauntlets and helmet. But he only holds on them long enough to bug whoever had the bag of infinite bottom use to dump it all in. "Now, we should be on our way back to Golemgote. There are yet our other new travel guest we are to yet to return home."She said, addressing the party.
Meanwhile, Ebonitus and Lukian are the first to be greeted by the sound of Beedo's voice well up among the rocks. "You blood mingers! Ei'er ya can clear out a way past 'ose sharpnel or 'ide for now. We need to regroup 'fore-..." He stops there seeing the two, having done a double take for good measure. Without another word, he makes some quick gesture as if praying, and then scrambles his way down the hill to join the two's side. "Oi! Princess Sunny and Werewolf slayer! You guys are alive! I can't believe it!
Once the fight is over, Torunn will make his way over to Dork, look for any major repairs that might be required. "I'll fix you up once we have a chance to rest. In the mean time I am going to have a look at this equipment." He says, the offering have caught his eye.
Torunn looks over each piece of equipment, trying to place the craftmanship and whether he things there are any hidden magic properties. If he things there are, he will cast Identify

Again the bells peal throughout the cave and Lucky (DC 16 Wis - 17) ignores the sound.

I am fairly certain Grant is using weighted dice. :-)
I wish! At least in a couple of campaigns where I'm a lowly PC talk to DDP about weighted dice sometime!
