"That does not really-..."The construct had started to say to Harshnag, only to wind up distracted a moment later by Ilezenya. But while she would look to him, D.O.R.K yet seemed almost hesitant to even respond. For better or worse, her attention is then stolen again, though this time by Mullo. She listened, but cannot help but subtly shake her head at the offered solution. However, if given a moment to think, D.O.R.K has the following to say.
"A dangerous proposition, if they have become as aggressive as you say in recent times. But, if you are willing, then that might be an opportunity to learn more about why they are here. However, we will be your.... how was it put... your 'shadow' in this encounter. Just close enough at hand to act, if they attempt to harm you, or prove to have ill intent here. Are these terms acceptable?" With the question, she not only looked to Mullo, but to everyone else, indirectly answering Ilnezya's offer.
She then would look to Dawnbringer. While she had not engaged it in conversation too often over the past two tendays, if there were any hints that the darkness might be a problem with the blade that she'd know of, then she looks to Mullo and would ask,"How would they respond to you approaching them with something like me?" IF she had not picked up on such concerns however, then the look is only really a glance before turning to Ilezneya. "If you are fine with it, we will hold on to you, and rely on your physical guidance for the approach."
"I'm OK with that, " says Ebonitus. "If Mullo is willing and thinks she can find out why they are here before any blood shedding begins, then I think she can lead by about 30', with Ileznya following inside the PwT area of effect, then D.o.R.K. leading the rest of us about 15' behind Ilezenya. That should give us enough cover, but keep us close enough for support. Now before we start D.o.R.K., let us link these rings." and so saying he casts Warding Bond giving D.o.R.K. resistance to all damage and +1 on AC and saving throws.

Into the darkness
Devin moves the Arcane Eye around and up to see where the ledges were and check out the series of entrances going back into the mountain and where they lead.
He sees that the ledges link to corridors which extend back towards the entrance of the complex. At the end of the corridors there are 60 foot square rooms. Each room has a large iron lever in the wall facing the corridor (i.e. north and south respectively). The lever is 12 feet off the ground and covered in ice. They are both in the up position.
D.O.R.K. seeks Lightbringer’s agreement to fighting with her and hears her dulcet tones in her head “I would be honoured to fight with you Dedicated Operative of the Red Knight."
The party then decides to split into 3 groups: Mullo will lead by 30 feet, 15 feet behind her is Ilezenya and 15 feet behind him is the rest of the party. Mullo - 16 Ilezenya - 14 Ebonitus - 13 Devin - 28 D.O.R.K. - 11

Mullo agrees to the plan, dismounts, and spends about 30 seconds in a one-sided conversation with Haetone in which she explains to the pegasus that she needs to stay back with Harshnag. "You will be a liability under the mountain," Mullo explains. "I do not question your strength or your loyalty. But I am not prepared to put you in harm's way simply to appease your self-spirit." Haetone is clearly frustrated, but she stays back with the giant as Mullo moves into the entrance. Mullo pauses at the portico and opens her coat as wide as she can to show as many of her strings as she can. She then looks at her arms and pulls one sleeve up to reveal the tattoos on the inside of her forearm. She makes a sound of disgust. "This will not do," she says. She removes the coat, revealing her brown skin and white splotches, and puts the garment into her pack. Now she's ready to enter.
Do I know where the traps are, or do I need to be looking for those as I enter?
"I surmise that the levers operate the blocks to drop them in place and they are frozen in place and out of reach of any but giants. I don't see anyone who could pull them so they should not be an issue."
Devin is certain that there must be some access to the ledge with the levers and sends the arcane eye deeper to the east to find it.
I believe you rolled stealth for Mullo, but she does not approach stealthily. She doesn't want to appear as though she is sneaking up on them. She stands tall and walks forward, approaching the stairs and the individuals at the top.
I should also ask which tribe's territory we are in. Or does Mullo know?

Mullo is pretty sure that they are in Great Worm territory. While the territory's are vaguely defined, the Great Worm's spirit mound is certainly the closest to where they are.

The corridor is unlit - does Mullo want to light a torch. If she does we can retcon post #3864
Ilezenya will follow as quietly as he can - helped by the spell! He holds his light crossbow at the ready, as well as a few choice spells ready to cast should they be needed.
Oh, yeah. Unmarked humans can't see in the dark, so she would light a torch to enhance the appearance that she comes in peace and is not trying to sneak up on them.
Change of plan Mullo is going to advance with a lit torch so we need to retcon post #3864. Very hard to sneak when you're lit be a torch: Option 1 Mullo is 60 feet in front of Ilezenya who will be in darkness Option 2 No sneaking and the party travels as a group

Once again into the Complex - this time for real
Mullo lights a torch and with a last caress and whispered goodbye for Haetone. Knowing that the party will be trying to move quietly Mullo moves at a slow pace; based on Devin's reporting he estimates that it will take him about 2 minutes to reach where the barbarians are currently trying to get in As the light from the torch dissipates Ileznya enters the complex about 70 feet behind Mullo and comfortably wrapped in the darkness - his stealth roll of 18 from post #3864 stands. About 30 feet behind them, the rest of the party enters travelling as a group (OOC: as none of you have Darkvision normally the characters would have disadvantage when moving stealithily - however D.O.R.K. and Ebonitus are already disadvantaged by their armour so here is an additional stealth roll only for Devin (24).
As the party makes its way down the corridor Devin sends his aracane eye scouting further into the complex. At the eastern end of each of the corridors behind the ledges he sees two huge portcullises. He is able to send the eye through the most northerly portcullis (right hand side) and realises that the corridor opens out into a huge chamber that he cannot see the edges of when ...
As Mullo reaches a point about 200 feet into the complex when he hears a voice from out of the darkness - about where he would estmate the barbarians are - yell out in Borthi (the language common to Uthgardt barbarians "who enters, why do you come onto Great Worm land?"
"Mullo, Sky Pony shaman," the wild woman calls out, her voice strong and devoid of fear. "I come here to commune with our father, Uthgar, and his father concerning a threat to our lands. I have been given a troubling dream and seek guidance." She continues forward slowly, moving carefully. "Do you come here for answers as well?"

The voice shouts back "Answers yes! But this is not Sky Pony country! This is Great Worm country. You are not welcome! Go away horse lover!"
Mullo halts, not surprised by the negative response, but unconsciously offended by it. "This may be your country, but this is not your shrine. If it were, you would not need to break in —" She stops before an equally ridiculous insult can pass through her scowling lips.

Mullo hears what sounds like a slap and then the words "enough witch"before the voice shouts back "this shrine is on Great Worm country, horse lover and therefore it is mine to do with as I like!"
Ilezenya watches and listens to the exchange, trying to determine his distance from the Great Worms. (With his 300' darkvision, he should be able to see the others, right? Also, how high is the ceiling for passage they are in?)
As Ilezenya watches he can see the figure that us that is yelling at Mullo turn and slap a women who looks to be dressed as a Shaman. As the conversation is in Borthi Ilezenya can’t actually understand it.
The ceilings are 60 feet high.

I'm guessing that Devin has explained that it looks the stone blocks raising and lowering mechanisms are to coin a phrase frozen in place.
