After retrieving his gear, Brin comes walking back. He has on a suit of heavy splint armor now, the weight looking a bit much for his spindly-for-a-dwarf frame. On his back is a haversack. On one hip he wears a component pouch, while a light crossbow rests at the other hip. He has a fancy shield attached to the haversack and a intricate necklace hangs around his neck, mostly covered by his black beard.
”Now, where we be at before I left to reclaim me gear.” He asks as he looks to the group. “I be fancying getting meself out of these...” He looks around at the various fey creatures around them. “These beautiful lands, since I be craving to see me own lands once again...”
Isk eyes Brin as he ponderously makes his way back to the group and says, "Aye, perhaps and overnight to heal out wounds and then off to...to.." He pauses for a moment, "you know, in all of the excited of the last couple days, i have forgotten what we were off to do!" He laughs before adding, "Adventurers' brain."
Brin's travel clothes were trashed by the petty jail guards. The fey villagers present him with Clothes of Mending to make up for his loss. They also present magical gems to Brin and Ana for their help in joining the liberation. Iskander was beaten up fairly badly, so he was given a jar of healing salve to help with his next fight. The villagers give everyone in the party a pouch of gold coins and gem shards, worth 100 GP.
(OOC: This is a lot of exposition, but a lot has happened to the party in the past.)
As Ana describes the two malevolent people in Nunkreet, Trimyrai gets red-faced in anger. (Tieflings tend to be red-hued, but you can tell that his skin is getting darker and more intense.) The description of the wendgo-like old woman gets Jack to blurt out "bheur hag". With Trim still silently fuming, Froskan explains to Ana and Brin that the party was trying to find some of Trim's fellow villagers, who had disappeared months ago. The man (Darvin) was one of those villagers, but seems to have been altered. Whatever happened to his arm allowed him to magically escape. A third person was with them, the former village chief named Warton, but he was somehow corrupted into a Deep Scion (with barbarian abilities) and had to be slain.
Darvin and the others had proclaimed that they were enforcing the will of the god Bane, but Reverie seems unconvinced of their boasts. She mentioned the servants of Talona, since a Slaad and a Deathlock were involved in creating the Corpse Flower.
The party was waiting for the Iron Gate to try to find Darvin or the winter hag, who were hiding somewhere. The Iron Gate has been unable to find them in the past week. In the meanwhile, the party visited the university to get help in removing the curse from Reverie's weapon (which is now de-cursed, but there are still mysteries surrounding it). The party has a magical transporting triangle (percussion instrument). Now that the 3rd task has been done, striking it again will bring those nearby back to Nunkreet.
Clarion is still in a poor mood after giving the party their rewards. "Those Redcaps are created through magic, blood, and the act of murder. In the chieftain's hut, we found a pool of blood, with bootprints walking away from it. There have been other visitors to this village who have gone missing, but we can guess what Rufus did to them."
(To Anaskyrath) "You have mentioned that one of your goals is to establish better relations between mortals, nature, and the Fey. It will take some time for our village to recover our reputation from these dark times. We will mention your words to our neighbors. That will make it easier to have discussions with them, when you visit the Feywild in the future."
(To Brin) "Our mines yield gems and the shells of Flail Snails. We do not mine adamantine. We will ask others who deal in metals to contact your relative Pyrick in Greensville, if they wish to trade."
(To Reverie) "You mentioned that the professor who sent you on this trip wanted momentos from each of your tasks. Here is a fragment of the magic snail shell. That should satisfy your professor."

Isk thanks Clarion for the gifts and says, "It was our honor to help you shed Rufus' chains. I'm sure your people will find their strength and rebuild. Your leadership will serve them well."
He turns to the party and asks, "Shall we ring the triangle?"
Ana accepted the gift and payment with an awkward smile and thanks. After all, what did she do...? She just happened to be there in time to play a very small part in ending the battle. Her contribution did not seem to warrant such. She's much more enthusiastic about Clarion's words. "Thank you - I don't know if we can actually make that work but I feel that if people were to see the animals and fey as helpers, rather than prey or threats, they would be much more likely to live in peace and cooperation with them. Maybe some day..."
Brin grumbles at the news that no adamantine is to be found here at all. He feels he should do a little payback to whomever it was that sent him on this wild goose chase. With a nod of tanks, he accepts the rewards and the news that those who deal with metals might be in contact.
”I be ready to be heading back to our own plane.” Brin agrees, glancing to the others. “If ye be having a way to get us there quickly then all the better.”
Reverie smiles and bows slightly in gratitude. "Thank you. We are honor that we could help you and the village from the evil. I hope you stay healthy and well." Then she looks at the party for a moment, nodding once. "I am sure we will have something to do once we all return to our own plan. Let's us all go back now."

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
After your group of seven (party + Brin & Ana) gathers in an open space, Reverie pulls out the magic triangle that you first struck several days ago in the Nunkreet university. (Link to post 3806, where you first entered the Feywild.) One side of the triangle is struck. The note is like a hum that you can feel in your bones, which echos and builds slightly in intensity over several seconds. Nothing seems to happen. But then you blink, and all of you are in another world.
All of you are in the research room of Professor Egg Chen, in the main university of Nunkreet. He is delighted to see you 1 day after you left. (Time travels differently in the Feywild.) Jack hands him the 3 samples you collected:
Magic growing soil from the grove of the Dryad-tree.
Waters from the fountain blessed by a water-spirit.
Piece of a rainbow-colored shell of a Flail Snail.
After getting the samples and the magic triangle back, Egg Chen considers the transaction completed. He does take Jack aside to discuss a price, as Jack still has the plaque he slipped into his Bag of Holding. (This was the shield sized plaque, a third of it missing, made of ebony wood, with an embossment of red gold, depicting some flightless bird charging sideways into battle.) Some gold and small gems are handed over, and Jack rejoins your group.
Egg Chen takes another look at Reverie's partially restored magic scimitar. "Your actions have definitely removed the curse of anger. The blade is in much better condition. It clearly has the blessings of Eldath, but it is from the old days when her church would be willing to work with weapons. The runes on the scabbard are still blurred from those decades buried in the Shadowfell... More power will be unlocked when you can discover the name of this blade and its purpose, but it is beyond my knowledge how to make that happen."
(If you have no further questions or actions at the university, you are welcome to return to the HinterhaltigHase Hotel, to unwind and get a full meal. I will have Jack and Froskan leave the party soon, and become NPCs.)

Once the group is done with the university, and prepare to head back to their place of rest, Brin would move up to them.
"No be knowing what ye all be about, but I be needing to be finding coin, and maybe a source of adamantine." He gives a shrug, the scale mail he wears rattling a bit. "Be thinking ye all be likely to be moving around more than not, so might be thinking ye could be a place to be starting both me coin acquisition as well as me search for more adamantine." He frowns as he looks to each member of the group. "Be ye willing to be letting a dwarf like me be traveling with ye fer a bit?"
Isk claps Brin on the shoulder and says, "I've always found the company of Moradin's own to be quite enjoyable, both on the field of battle and at the tavern table. We've struck down foes together, how about we go strike down a few tankards as well?"
(OOC: Trimyrai will definitely want to relax after everything that happened, even with us spending a day in the village after the fight.)
(Don't forget that Anaskyrath said she ran into Darvin and the hag very recently in Nunkreet. While it is late enough in the day that Trim will want to recover his strength, it is also your best clue for tracking down your former village rival.)

The party is walking back to the hotel, with Brin and Isk actively talking about adventuring. Arriving at the entrance of the hotel, you are greeted warmly by the teenage desk clerk. (The hotel management, Buster and Barbara, train and educate orphans in the city by having them work in the hotel.)
As you walk into the bar/restaurant, Froskan moves to a table in the corner. Sitting in a chair (much too small for her) is a figure you met before: Mercury, a pale lady in white and silver. (She is taller than most goliath people, but has the slender grace of high elves. You aren't sure what to make of her, other than to be cautious of someone who can bend iron pipes with little effort. She helped mentor Froskan in his sorcerous skills.) She talks quietly to Froskan for a bit. He then walks to the party and announces his departure.
"Mercury says she could use a hand immediately with some tasks in the wild outside the city, and offers to continue my studies. I will join her.
"I do feel bad to leave the group with so many of our goals not yet met, like finding Trimyrai's people, or discovering what the devils and Umberlee's demons are working together to find. You will probably have difficult adventures ahead."
(Looking at Brin.) "If you will be joining this group, you will find this necklace useful. Aid them as best you can." Froskan hands to Brin the Necklace of Sorcerer's Stone (home-brew magic item).
"Good fortune to us all." Froskan heads to his room upstairs to collect the rest of his belongings, and soon leaves with Mercury.

Reverie smiles as she watches new members in their party for a moment before she gazes back at Froskan when he walks to the party for announcing his departure. Her smile falters immediately as she gazes back at Mercury for a moment, then back to Froskan. No words until his farewell, Reverie nods. "I hope you be well, Froskan.
