"Are you sure you are alright miss? Do you need further medical attention?", he inquires.
Briar looks up at the guard a little surprised but answers him respectfully and politely, "thank you m'lord, it is very kind of you to inquire into the well being of someone like myself. Just a little dizzy, some pain and somewhat rattled is all. Your famous healer (-referring to Wolf-) over there already attended to my injuries before you arrived."
Rubbing her head she goes on to ask, "As I am not a guest at his lordship's inn and as you can plainly see a person of little importance and certainly of no consequence and as I have told His Majesty's Guards everything I know and saw... would it be too much to beg your leave... to be on my way as not to be underfoot... so that those two fine gentlemen over there (-referring to Ducolis and Wolf-) can get back to their soft feather beds, waiting for them back at the inn? I am sure his lordship the innkeeper will want to reward them for attempting to safeguard his property... before that loathsome villain could do more than kill his ox."
Briar pauses then adds, "that brave warrior over there, such a fighter I never have seen such skill,"pointing to Hanzo, Briar turns back to the guard, "Hanzo there has kindly offered to escort me home to where I can rest and recover... of course, just as soon as we have your permission to be on our way... we will trouble you no more or take up any more of your valuable time."
"Oh he will surely be taken to the arena. And on some rotten luck i might add... as we have recently apprehended a rather formidable goliath that will most likely be his opponent.", The guard says with a laugh.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The White Wolf rushes forward as Terrance moves, though his head is reeling. He grabs Guard A's hand, his own clammy and shaking. He doesn't dare look any guard in the eye right now.
"I th-thank y-you, sirs," he says, more loudly than usual, and practically tripping over his words. "I think w-we should all like to... to go back to sleep, yes? But, ah..."
He stares at the mastiff for a moment.
"I think.... Snuffles has found the scent of s-something else? Perhaps there were, were more? Involved?"
"Yes I will indeed be going back and I will tell them about what happened here. I am however dissapointed that I couldnt use my trident."Ducolis will cling his trident against the stones in the ground to hopefully distract the guards from noticing Terrance.
Thanks to all of the commotion, Terrance remains undiscovered. The guards bid Briar her freedom to leave, then proceed to collect the mysterious man, and take him away into the night. Arannis stops Hanzo and offers him a free room at the inn for the rest of the night, given his apparent role in bringing the suspected ox killer to justice.

"I will follow the dog and see what he has found", he shouts as he struggles to chase after the more dexterous mastiff.
Terrance seeing that he has managed to go unnoticed heads back towards the inn knowing he needs to make it back before Arannis to maintain the charade.
He will go back into his room and wait until the morning to talk the event over with the others. Hopefully the events of this night will encourage Briar and Hanzo to trust them a bit more.
Briar bows low before the guards, 'thank you m'lords, good even to you and may the gods bless and watch over you," she speaks in praise of their fine sense of duty watching as they collect her villainous attacker, picking him up off the ground. The Hedge Witch with her awakened mind projecting her thoughts to him (-the mysterious stranger-) unconvinced he is fully unconscious as he appears, 'I guess we will meet again soon enough, so don't be late or you'll be forced to kiss the hare's foot!'
Arannis stops Hanzo and offers him a free room at the inn for the rest of the night, given his apparent role in bringing the suspected ox killer to justice.
Briar smiles demurely holding a hand to her lips, very delighted to see brave Ser Hanzo receive recognition for being the hero that he is! Good for him, she thinks to herself, who now with her hard-won freedom turns and begins to walk away... whistling! A little sad that the guards got to the severed hand and blade before she did... oh well, all is fair in love and war...
“I appreciate the kind offer but I could not leave my friend to wonder alone, especially after what has happened. I will be taking my leave with her, thank you.” Hanzo bows and turns to follow Briar
Briar walks along at a slower than normal pace as she waits for Ser Hanzo to catch up and laughs at him when he reaches her, "What!!! Give up a nice soft feather bed to walk with a raggedy girl like me, how sweet you are noble ser... that snobbish innkeeper would probably have thrown in an expensive late night dinner or at the very least some busty empty-headed young scullery maid as a foot warmer in that big soft bed you just turned down."
Zaroc bounds away into the night in the opposite direction of the inn in an attempt to lose the guard, and tries to circle around the graves back towards the inn afterwards. If he feels that the guard does not see him, he shifts back into a dwarf
”I don’t care much for the finer things in life, I was raised on fishing boats, spending days sometimes weeks out on the water sleeping on the hard wood floors or if I was lucky a hammock. And I filled up on that cobra meat earlier, plus I still have some fish I meant to sell off in the market. As for a women to keep me more, I’ve already got you... *smiles* ...I don’t mean you’ll do the things that you were implying just that uh you were warm enough when we slept in my bedroll...”
(after hearing the inn keeper call out, still to Briar)
”Sounds like the room has two beds, would you like to head back? This lot doesn’t seem too bad, they did help me save you after all. Odd bunch but they seem to mean well. I’ll leave the decision up to you, either way I’m with you.”
Briar walks along with Hanzo at her side and slyly smiles up at him, "two-beds, huh,"and starts to laugh, "two-beds is just not going cut it now Ser Hanzo, far too late for that! I am not going settle for anything less than ONE bed! We're going need one bed... a very big bed... in a room with very thick solid walls if you get my meaning," she announces in a very matter of fact kind of way, giving Hanzo a wink, "we are going to absolutely need that because this little tart is going to shag your brains out right proper, and I don't know, you look like a screamer to me."
That, being said... Briar just keeps on walking away not stopping or pausing... heading in the direction of the meeting spot with the old man, "you do know we are going to see that mysterious stranger again don't you Hanzo? I feel it in my bones. It's a shame I wasn't able to get ahold of either his severed hand or that blade of his, I cannot scry myself but I was thinking maybe the old wizard could when we meet up with him and with scrying spells, always best to have something close to the person in question. Oh well, no worries, as I said we'll see him again soon enough, most likely with one or more of his family with him."
Hanzos eyes go wide for a moment and flustered he says “Well.. I-I’d enjoy that very much, but I couldn’t with the condition you’re in. It wouldn’t be right to take advantage of what’s just happened in that way...”
”If we see him again I’ll take his other hand. I’m sorry I couldn’t get anything off of him for you. The guards told me he’s being sent to the Arena and they have an opponent already lined up for him, perhaps he won’t make it out alive. I’m with you no matter what, we’ll find your sister and hopefully uncover the truth about the beyond.”
Briar laughs giving Hanzo a playful slap on the shoulder, "we're just talking here... don't be counting your chickens until they're hatched... we have too much going on right now and most likely in the near future so no one going to be taking advantage of anyone right this moment or anytime soon. At least not until we get this all straightened and behind us. But keep playing your cards right and you'll get there, no rush!"Briar walks on giggling... thinking, men can be so serious sometimes.
”Oh, yeah, no I was just kidding... *nervous smile* ...why do you think the others are looking for the old man? Do they work for the higher ups and we’re tasked with silencing anyone that speaks of the beyond, or do they have interest in the beyond as well? I’m sure we’ll find out soon enough, they’ll be right behind us on our way to the old man, unless they actually stay the rest of the night at the inn. If they’re not aiming to kill him and they’re smart they’ll come now, they don’t know our intent, we could be going to kill the old man.” *shrugs*

Terrance will try and sneak off back towards the inn since Ducolis suggested he was still there and everything seems to be under control.
