Attack: 8 Damage: 13
… who blocks one attack but takes a second brutal hit. At first Valthana looks to be enduring the wound, but as the poison begins to course through her veins, her eyes lose focus and she topples face first into the dirt.
At this point, Jorlan shouts in undercommon, "ENOUGH!". He steps forward and brutally clobbers Shoor in the back of the head with the flat of his blade, causing Shoor to crumple to the ground. "Leave him. His shame will be greater if you escape while he lives. His arrogance at ordering me to not hinder you as well as guarding this passage alone will throw Ilvara into a fury. Once Ilvara deals with Shoor, she will have the choice to let you escape and be shamed, or abandon Velkinvelve to pursue you, and be shamed for abandoning her post. Consider yourselves in my debt for your good fortune and leave. Now."
Your party gains 164 XP for defeating (foolish) Shoor and 38 XP for finishing chapter 1 and finally escaping Velkinvelve.
Your situation:
Ront is unconscious
Valthana is unconscious
When you go back to Ferriman, you find he is no longer breathing.
Derendil is unconscious
Stool can walk but his walking speed is 10 feet
Jorlan is looking anxiously behind you at the drow backup he is anticipating to arrive. He's impatiently ushering you to leave.
Before leaving, Beegred checks if the lamp has phosphorescent moss. (If it does, he gets a piece of it for Narstin.)

As soon as Shoor falls, Narstin kneels over valthana, trying to stabilize her, hardly even hearing Jorlan.
Medicine: 13. Advantage if someone helps: 17
He looks up as Beegred holds out a handful of phosphorescent moss and his eyes light up. "Excellent!" he says, tucking the moss into his belt (do I have a pouch to put it in?) and casts Light on his hammer as he does.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Kneeling next to Valthana, Narstin attempts to feel around or see the wound threatening her life with his dim darkvision. Beegred returns with some phosphorescent moss, handing it to Narstin. With the phosphorescent moss in hand, Narstin casts the Light cantrip and his hammer glows with the first bright light any of you have seen in quite some time. With the light, Narstin can clearly see the wound and knows exactly what to do to stabilize Valthana.
(Valthana wakes in 3 hours.)
Jorlan recoils from the light, shrieking in undercommon, "FOOL! If you want to be caught already, I'll put the shackles on you myself. That light is a beacon for every underdark denizen saying 'Hey I"m over here, come get me!'. Put it out."
As Narstin doesn't seem to hear or pay attention to Jorlan, he snaps, stepping next to Ront and plunges his short sword into his torso, twice. With the sword still impaled in Ront's body, Jorlan kneels and pulls the little wand from Shoor's belt. "No more nonsense. Take your things and leave now. Also take this, " Shoor throws the wand past the darkness cloud. "If you are not gone by the time I walk to that wand, I will use it to capture you all and you can enjoy your stay in Velkinvelve for all I care."
Jorlan begins to walk and disappears into the darkness cloud.
Tozer does his best to make sense of Jorlan's antics. He can't understand a word that's being spoken, but he can discern the drow's anxiety about Narstin's light and the urgency to keep moving. He watches, intrigued for a few moments, to see what becomes of Shoor's wand before saying, "The orc filth stays behind, I say!"
(This is after we get the translation, so we understand what Jorlan is freaking out about.)
Beegred suggests that Xilyrah (a spell caster) should acquire Shoor's little wand and use it on Jorlan. (That sounds like a setup for a joke, but Jorlan is probably not in a mood to appreciate it.) And that Xilyrah should keep the wand.
Ront stays where he is, next to Shoor's slumbering body. (2 Jorlan stabs = 4 Ront failed death saves) Beegred will grab Shoor's short sword, wiping off the poison on Shoor's clothes. (Someone else can grab Shoor's shield, his hand crossbow, and the bolts.)
Rather than trying to find a place to bury Ferriman in this rocky cavern (with enemies approaching), Beegred asks Eldath (or one of the others) to bring Ferriman's body and place it next to Shoor. Beegred will put his own acid-damaged short sword in Ferriman's hand. When the other Drow arrive, it will look like Shoor was struck unconscious by the half-melted halfling. Even though Shoor will deny it, hopefully the "legend" of Ferriman will spread, giving honor to him in death.
(At this point, the party should book out of here.)

Seeing Shoor fall, Xilyrah moves in and kneels down next to his motionless body. Removing his wand, she wraps her hand around it and snorts, "Now I understand his arrogance. He had small wand syndrome."
Standing and sneering at Jorlan, she says, "If I had more time, I'd consider using this on you, but I do not wish to spend one more moment in your presence or in this place!"
Addressing the party she hisses in common language, "There is no time to dally. I must overtake Jorlan and retrieve the wand for myself or he will use it against us. And that light is a homing beacon to any creature who would do us harm. Those of us who have dark vision will guide our steps. But steps we must take......NOW!
And with that she rushes into the darkness cloud to retrieve the wand.
(Magic darkness still affects those with darkvision, including Jorlan.
Beegred still wants to do what was mentioned in post 711, positioning Ferriman and moving around the weapons. Someone else should grab Shoor's shield, hand crossbow, and bolts.)

Narstin growls at Jorlan as the drow stabs Ront, finishing him off, but is unable to do anything while working to stabilize Valthana. He nods sheepishly to Xilyrah and dimisses the light from his hammer as he stands. Then, a thoughtful look comes over his face. He kneels and picks up a few pebbles.
Beegred goes and gathers Ferriman, placing the acid damaged short sword in the corpse's hand and positioning in such a way to make it conceivable that Ferriman struck the blow that knocked out Shoor.
Narstin finishes administering to Valthana, and picks up some pebbles. (you do not have a pouch, so now you're carrying moss and pebbles somehow)
Xilyrah runs through the darkness cloud after Jorlan and the wand. (The could is 10 feet diameter. Jorlan threw it much further than that)
Narstin moves over to where Shoor lies and searches the drow for any pouches or something he could use to carry the moss and anything else he might need (like future spell components)
Tozer reaches down and takes the javelin that Ront had been carrying (bringing Tozer's javelin count to a total of three). Then, looking at the framing of Ferriman's death, the barbarian says, "Shrewd. I like it."
Nodding in silent agreement with Beegred, Tozer takes hold of Shoor's shield, crossbow, and bolts. As he does so, he spits on the drow. "Best of luck accepting your fate, Shoor."
Tozer then makes his way toward Derendil, picks him up, and readies himself for the next leg of the journey.

Shoor was equipped for a fight, not for travel. He has studded armor, short sword, shield, hand crossbow with a case of 20 bolts, and the magic wand. He also wears a baldric to holster his shield, sword, crossbow and bolt case.
The baldric has an ornate buckle depicting a couple spiders intertwined, made of silver and worth approximately 240 sp.
Shoor also has a coin pouch that contains 70 gold pieces.
Narstin takes the coin pouch and ties it to his belt, adding his pebbles and bit of moss to it. "Some coin here if we get to somewhere that it would be useful. Anyone need this baldric?" he asks.
(Maybe Tozer to help carry the rest of what he's taking?)
(If any one has any more details they wish to spell out, you can do so retroactively.)
As everyone hurriedly gathers their things and allies, the first sounds of pursuit coming from the north can be heard. Everyone's eyes flare as new fear and adrenaline infuses their bodies. There's no more time to fiddle with gear, it is time to run, comfortable or not.
There is no sense of time. No one knows how long you run. Eventually Derendil wakes and stands on shaky legs. With a brief pause to explain and catch breath, the party pushes onward. A little later, Valthana wakes as well, sweat pouring from her as her body fights the poison. Again a brief pause, a little back and forth as Valthana insists on carrying Stool and again you are off.
Occasionally individuals stagger to the ground and slowly try to stand. The others come and drag them back to their feet and again you run.
Eventually, after an age of mental anguish as you push your bodies past their limits, one of you staggers, falls and just can't get back up. When someone comes to help, they instead get pulled down, spent as well. Everyone urges to push onwards, but sink to their knees. When asked, Sarith explains that he moved away from well traveled routes but avoided dead end paths. Beyond that, he chose randomly to make it harder for pursuit to anticipate their destination. All of you are looking carefully at the ground beneath you, as you all find yourselves lying down, eyes inches away. This area looks untraveled with undisturbed layers of dust and dirt, other than your own tracks.
As your eyes close, all of you feel very fine dust fall over you and suddenly the telepathic bond returns, as Stool states the obvious, "I'm hungry, need to eat."
(Feel free to roleplay between yourselves Between this and sleep.)
There is no watch. Some of you suggest it, but your brains are not registering anything beyond the need to sleep. Your consciousnesses fade and you wake some time later, very thirsty and feeling faint from lack of food.
(You benefit from a long rest.)
