Hurosk stumbles down the steps into the cargo hold, coughing and still spitting up water. "Let's not.. do that again,"he says trying to regain his composure. He hacks up a bit more of briny liquid. "So, you're quite the swimmer it seems,"he comments, looking to Ryn. "I guess there's more to you than just a pretty gal in a dress..?"
The half-orc moves to intercept Moltaris but only gives a half-hearted effort to hold back the blow, putting up a weak arm. "I don't think he's going to be able to answer you for a bit."
Trogen can't move, but his eyes opens as he sees Moltaris approaching with intention of punching him in the face, and he sighs of relief when Hurosk stop her.
Ryn seems a lttle bit frustrated but shrugs her shoulders and answers Kyne.
" I am not a mere gal in a dress. In your tongue I would be called Ryn Tiderider, Third Daughter of Vulko, Princess of the Great City of Al`quidan. Five years ago we helped a few surface dwellers that were sinking, their ship destroyed in one of their pity fights. My sister, Atlanna the fair, fell in love with their leader, the honey-tongued Captain Kreikos here. "
The captain opens his eyes as wide as he can and tries to talk in his paralized state. Moltaris kick him in the gut to make him stop and the man groans.
"Depsite our warnings, and my father's orders, my sister left the palace after him once they were recovered and sent back to the surface. My mother fell into a slumber, for she cannot bear the grief of losing her daughter. Two years later, I left my home in search of her, for I felt in my heart that something horrible had happened. I've been searching them all over the seas, and finally found them in this great lake, hiding, like the rats they are. My plan was taking them back to our city and make my father force them to give us stratight answers. But now.. " she looks up to the water above their heads " I fear that my sister had found us. I... I've been calling for her, hoping to find her. I.. I am sorry that you all have been dragged to this. "
Kyne sheaths his blade and sighs, bringing his free hand to his forehead to rub at his temples as he thinks.
"Alright then, your majesty, how do we reason with a broken-hearted mermaid? That's our way through this, yes? I expect you'd like nothing more than to take your sister home with you."
"Of course I will but I... I don't know... Perhaps... " she looks to Captain Keitos "... Perhaps if we deliver him to her... but I don't know... that only serve her thrist for revenge... I.. I've never heard of one coming back this path..." she looks really sad and trying to hold her tears.
Seb'riel shrugs. "I see no harm in giving him to her. Though his crew may not look kindly on us returning without him. A battle may lie in our future down either path."
As if the words of the elf where a cue they all feel how the ship stops. The captain finally moves, gasping for air and trying to stand and recover some composture.
"I.. I will like to thank you and... to... explain" he says looking at Ryn " I knew you looked familiar... " he adds in just but a whisper. " You see.. I was in love with your sister but... "
A shadow passes over them in the water above and the excuses of Keitos are silence.
The fast movement of Kyne allows him to take a look of whatever is passing over their heads.
It is a massive form, almost winged, like a stingray. Its wings could have a span of ten meters and thanks to Kyne's flaming light he can see that it's colored in black, with grey veins crossing the skin. Instead of the thin tail of a stingray the creature has a tail more like a dolphing, that helps it move quickly over them and avoid he to catch more details of it.
"Melusina," Moltaris replies. "Ryn, you should be most careful. Once they cross from mermaid to melusina, I believe there is no coming back -- and they especially hate those who remind them of what they once were. If she remembers you, she will kill you."

“I... I know but if there is a chance that my sister is still there... “
The words are interrupted by a big slam in the right side of the ship. The wood cracks and the whole ship shatters. They all look to each other worried. The hull could not take much more hits like that.
Kyne staggers a touch from the impact, glancing about wildly as different scenarios play out in his head. They're trapped down here. They need to deal with whatever is out there if they're going to get out. The platinum ring on the elf's finger catches his eye and he rolls his eyes. Fat lot of good that was to him now. They should never have come down here. He clutches tight to Daedagnir, fearing the worst and reaching out to its power in desperation.
Dagur said you had a Dragon's soul. I've borne you for decades, what do I do?
Seb'riel wrinkles her brow, looking at the bubble.
"The spell keeping water from our lungs is tied within the structure of the ship. If we don't stop her quick, everyone except the two people Ryn likes most will likely die here. Maybe them too, her sister doesn't seem in a talkative mood."
She thinks heavily, her fingers crackle with energy in anticipation. "I could summon a hut to protect us, but we would only be delaying the inevitable. We could live on the bottom of the ocean until our supplies ran out though."
She leans down to touch a splintering board at her feet. It forms back together under her touch.
"Or I could take somebody 90ft of the way up, give us a head start at least? Otherwise, I am ready to try to incapacitate her."
Hurosk wobbles a bit as the ship is struck then widens his stance to prepare for the next pass. Listening to Seb'riel's explantion, he glances around the cargo hold. "Anyone got anything else before the flood hits?!" The orc rumages in his bag and produces a bottle of blue liquid. "I got one of these to help one of us breath."
Another loud hit on the side of the hull make the wood crack and the entire ship to stagger.
They all can see small threads of water pouring from that side of the cargo hold. They doubt the structure would take another hit. The time was running out.
Kyne groans and starts to root through the crates of cargo for anything useful, but finds nothing.
"I'm starting to think that coming down here was the wrong call," he says, remembering too late the ring on his finger. "How deep are we? Can we make a break for the surface?"
Seb'riel runs over to the splintered plank, concentrating again she reaches out with arcane energy to weave the pieces together. She looks up and begins casting a spell, looking out for a sight of the creature to unleash her mental attack on it.
Kyne raises Daedagnír and holds the blade up against Captain Keitos's throat.
"YOU WANT HIM?" The elf shouts out in no direction in particular, peering out at the dark water. "RETURN US SAFELY TO OUR SHIP AND HE'S YOURS! KEEP SMASHING AT THIS HOLD AND HE'LL BE DEAD BEFORE YOU CAN EVER TAKE YOUR REVENGE!"
Captain Keitos, who seems to have regained his movility, raises his hands and gasp
"Woah friend... let's take a breath here ok? I admit that I may have... had some disagreement with her sister about our mutual feelings, but one cannot blame the tides for changing, right? she just wasn't ready for that... I could have said it more smoothly... " the last sentence is said more to himself that to Kyne " But anyway we cannot let the fear dominate us can't we? I am sure that if she talks to her sister she could put some sense in her and... "
The words of the captain dies in his mouth as the dim light that comes from above is obscured.
They all look up and see the great figure of the melusina.
Her dark wings, similar to that of a stingray, covers most of the aberture of the cargo bay. She moves slowly her long. grey tail to keep her static. She reaches out with one of her enlongated arms, crossing the magical barrier she moves her fingers in the air, above them. She opens her mouth, covered with black, sharpened teeth, and emits a low schreech.
It seems that she is listening.
"... By the love of the Gods... " whispers the captain.
