" I don't think it is." Anatol says nodding toward his elf friend, " But I m not leaving it lying for some innocent soul to find and get corrupted. I know exactly who is best equipped to guard it."
Vallineral, seeing that the woman is safe, seems more relaxed now. "Please, rest yourself and ensure you go to the houses of healing." He informs her before she leaves.
Afterwards, he returns to where Anatol is inspecting the crystal. "So what is this... thing?" He asks his companion. "More creatures of the dark needing to be put in their place?"
"Let me see..." Vallineral uses his Divine Sense to attempt to find any extraplanar or desecrated points within sixty feet of him.
Divine Sense
The presence of strong evil registers on your senses like a noxious odor, and powerful good rings like heavenly music in your ears. As an action, you can open your awareness to detect such forces. Until the end of your next turn, you know the location of any celestial, fiend, or undead within 60 feet of you that is not behind total cover. You know the type (celestial, fiend, or undead) of any being whose presence you sense, but not its identity (the vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich, for instance). Within the same radius, you also detect the presence of any place or object that has been consecrated or desecrated, as with the hallow spell.
The cristal definetly reeks with evil. It's energy so clear to the paladin senses that it almost hurt him. However, as the seconds passes, he can feel as the intensity of the evil essence starts to reduce, as if it is begining to fade. Perhaps it only needs time to be clean, or maybe some spells can clean it...
Vallineral very lightly recoils after his Divine Sense activates. "Yes, indeed, a true evil was contained in this." He comments. "However, the source has been vanquished, and its potency will ebb and fade in time."He explains to Anatol. He then looks to Jorunn. "You see my ears as odd? I suppose my home is far away, and I do not fit in well."
"We've come from afar as well,"says Moravasti, motioning toward Jorunn.
The monk knows that in his present condition he is ill-suited for anything more than resting and recovering. Therefore, he wonders aloud if returning to the inn for a few hours might be an option.
Vallineral nods. "Yes, let's." He looks to the crystal. "Perhaps we should put that somewhere safe for the meantime, less anything dangerous happen around it."
Vallineral watches Anatol wander towards the tavern. "What did he mean by that?" He says quietly to himself. He then looks to the crystal in hand, deciding to put it in a pouch on his belt for now until he can purchase a more secure container for it. He then proceeds to catch up to Anatol as the head towards the tavern again.
Moravasti pads along silently with the other three. As a Kalashtar, he was quite familiar with psychic powers; so he was deep in thought about what just transpired between himself and the monster, and, furthermore, the strange crystal that Vallineral now carried.
The homely decoration and warm mood of the inn was in so direct contrast with the events and recent images of death and gore that they had, that the group stood for a few seconds at the entrance.
Just at the entrance, they were in a wide and comfortable receiver, where they could had left their capes and clean their boots from mud, even leave them there in perchs below their capes, if they want to, for there are comfortable shoes, or thick and warm socks better said, for those who wanted to leave their heavy boots behind.
The proper common hall was all made of wood, birch and pine mostly, wich gave a comfortable mood to the great room, with two fireplaces that gave light ad heat to it. Even the bar where they could find the taverner was made of wood, of a single piece of wood, carved to give it the desired form and with some animals carved on it. Apparently, pigs having a good time taking a mud bath.
The owner of the inn, Reginald Nesdum, was the resemblance of one of the pigs depicted on his wooden bar. Round and happy were the two words that better describe the smiling man that welcome them when they entered the inn.
" Welcome, welcome my friends, please come in, come in... plenty of space today as you know " he says smiling and opening his arms to offer them the whole hall. They could choose between some round tables or sit near one if the fireplaces, in apparently cozy sofas and cushions in the floor. They could even go upstairs using a set of stairs to their right, and use one of the more reserved tables that lined up in a second history balcony that opened to the main hall. "With all the people at the market this has been really peaceful today hehehe".
Vallineral will look for a table that is separate from other groups already within the tavern, his logic being if anything else happens with the crystal it is at least as far away from others as possible. "Thank you, innkeep." He says passively as he looks around the room. "Though some lively activities happen within the town. Perhaps it will quieten down again soon. Anyway, what drinks do you serve?"
Anatol smirks when the innkeeper says something about the calm but doesn't say anything. He is, finaly, close to his goal (having a meal) and doesn't want to antagonize the owner.
"Drinks! Ale of course! best in town! " he says smiling and following them to the table of their choice " "We have red and white wine from the south and mead from the north. If you prefer something more stronger I have some gnome brandy and dwarven whiskey. If you take that be sure not to have something important to do in the morning! Would you like something to eat perhaps? We have roasted chicken with peepers, veal stew, onion soup with cheese, and some trouts fresh of today... "
He awaits for your orders.

Moravasti nods in silent agreement as he hears Anatol's intent for the crystal. "Who might that be?"

"Can you sense anything?" he asks Vallineral. "Is it just a tool or an evil entity ?"
To the monk he says. " Meet my friend ? He is best suited to hold on to this gem."

Jorunn gives Vallineral a curious look.

Anatol turns to the others.
" Let's get that drink, finally, and rest a bit then we'll figure out what to do next."

"I just did. Putting somewhere safe I mean." Anatol said patting the elf on the back.

Jorunn follows along back towards the tavern, stepping into stride beside Vallineral.
"I...apologize...if I sound rude," she says slowly, "I've not seen many of your kind before, and never up close."
