As Ian moves away from the (green) Redbrand, he swings his shortsword at the rogue. (shortsword attack: 10; damage: 8 slashing damage) The rogue feels the blade of the shortsword leave a gash along his side as he turns to return to his hiding place (B14), melting into the shadows once again.

The Herr Doktor Professor casts Vicious Mockery at the Redbrand (Yellow) that Glynquinal wounded. He shouts:
"The blades of elves are subtle and sly,
You won't even know they've cut you, until you die!"
If the Redbrand fails its saving throw, it takes 1 damage and disadvantage.
In addition to mocking the Redbrand, the Herr Doktor Professor also tries to bolster the fighting spirit of Glynquinal, granting him a d6 Bardic Inspiration dice.
The Herr Doktor Professor then makes an obscene gesture at the two Redbrands (Blue and Orange) near him in an effort to draw their attention. He moves behind the building. (OOC: I think HDP will reach the square west of A5).
OOC: DDP, I just realized that, based on the previous map, I was assuming the Redbrands are not in melee range of HDP. If they are, can I modify his actions?
OOC- How does the Bardic inspiration die work? Declare it before a roll is made, or make the roll and add it as required before the final outcome is known?
OOC: On the tabletop game, you can add the dice after you see your roll, but before the DM tells you if it was a success or not. I guess it works the same way here. Check with DDP, though.
HDP, you may always change your action prior to my post. Please do not change it based on what another player posts after you. In this case, since you're the only one that has posted, then yes, you may change your post.
Concerning bardic inspiration: Yes, so long as I haven't said whether or not an action succeeds, you may post that you're using bardic inspiration and add the additional roll to the post or post it in a follow-up post. Same with luck points, should any of you take that feat later on. So long as I haven't yet posted, you can say you're using a luck point a re-roll.
And, HDP, having had to write a couple lines of verse to finish a poem today for a birthday card, it only reinforces to me how talented you are to come up with so many for this game. I grant you another DM inspiration as a reward for your creativity.
OOC: Thank you DDP for the compliment. (And the inspiration point! :) )
OOC: I'm only asking about changing my action because I'm not sure given the new enemy dispositions if those two Redbrands are in melee range and can opportunity attack HDP. If not, then my actions will proceed as stated above. If they can ... I will retain the bonus action to grant Bardic Inspiration to Glynquinal, change my standard action to Dodge, and stay in place to avoid opportunity attacks.
They are not in melee range. I know it's weird because of where the row numbers are, but they are in A and B, where the gray bar is is (A-1) (A minus 1), and HDP is in (A-2) (A minus 2), so you're ~10 feet away from Blue and ~15 feet away from Orange.
Herr Doktor's verse confounds and magically inhibits the (yellow) Redbrand. Then, after bolstering the fighting spirit of Glynquinal, he makes an obscene gesture at the (blue and orange) Redbrands. He finally moves behind the building.
OOC: I'm going to say you can get to (A-3)6 or (A-3)5 using your 30 feet.
Gruxx, I still need a death saving throw from you!
Presented with a new target, the (black) Redbrand grins at Glynquinal and says, "Another dog to spank!" as he swings twice with his shortsword. (shortsword attack 1: 22, damage: 3 slashing damage; shortsword attack 2: 15, damage: 4 slashing damage) The elf moves to dodge, but misjudges the angle of attack, and the first strike glances off an arm, but the rogue is able to weave out of the way of the second swing.
The (yellow) Redbrand also swings at Glynquinal, the first attack coming while the foe is still reeling from Herr Doktor's vicious mockery. (shortsword attack 1: 18, damage: 7 slashing damage; shortsword attack 2: 13, damage: 7 slashing damage) Glynquinal is able to deflect the first attack easily and dodge the second with little effort.
The (green) Redbrand, confused by the turn of events, decides to join his (black and yellow) friends (G17) to surround the elf. He attacks with two swipes of his shortsword. (shortsword attack 1: 20, damage: 7 slashing damage; shortsword attack 2: 23, damage: 7 slashing damage) Now overwhelmed, Glynquinal fails to dodge or deflect either of the new attacks upon his person.
The (blue and orange) Redbrands pursue Herr Doktor ((A-3)7 and (A-3)8 — HDP, you might be temped to not choose (A-3)6 because it's only five feet from where Blue ended up, but I would rule they can't hit you because the corner of the house is in the way. You can't move from his square five feet north; you have to move to the west five feet and come back — you had to do that).

Round 5: Daran, Rock (unconscious; 1 save, 0 fails), Ian (hidden), Gruxx (unconscious; 0 saves, 2 fails), Glyn, HDP (concentrating), black (injured), blue (injured), green (injured), orange, yellow (injured)
Ian is suddenly aware that there is someone right beside him on the road. He jerks, but doesn't give away his presence. Looking at the man, he realizes it is Daran Edermath, the former adventurer Herr Doktor talked to at the Inn before they left. The silver haired half elf clutches an amulet he wears around his neck with one hand and left his other, his palm toward the group in front of the Sleeping Giant. "Oh, Great Mother," he calls in a clear voice meant to draw attention to himself, "heal these brave ones with the power of the earth!" Glynquinal, Rock and Gruxx feel healing energies rise from the ground to wash over their bodies, even bringing the two unconscious ones to consciousness. (mass healing word: 7) Standing there with no weapons, the cleric stares down the thugs. "Leave them be or feel the full force of Chauntea." (Intimidation: 17)
OOC: I assume Rock is going to stay where he is and fight, so his actions should not change what Ian does this round, so I am future posting.
Ian, seeing that his three comrades are feeling a bit better, and that it is three on three, will redirect his efforts to assist HDP.
He will pick up his bow at his feet while dropping his rapier, and move to a-2:9 just on this side of the house, and squeeze up real close to it to maximize cover from the 2 redbrands chasing HDP.
Ian will lean around the corner, and shoot at the orange redBrand
To Hit 9
Damage Unable to parse dice roll.
Sneak Attack Damage: 5
Then he will straighten back up on his side of the house, getting full cover from the redbrands.
He will use his bonus action to dodge, in case they do come after him this round.

OOC: Rock, first of all, I'm going to have you stand up. If you're prone, melee attacks get advantage, and you don't want that. Second, your breath weapon doesn't take an attack roll. Enemies in its path make a DEX save roll and have to roll an 11 of higher. Thirdly, you don't add your rage damage modifier to your breath weapon; it's only applied to STR weapon attacks.
Rock jumps to his feet, growling, "You need a light," at the (yellow) Redbrand as he rages. He opens his maw and a cone of flame erupts from within the dragonborn. (Yellow DEX (DC11): 5; Green DEX (DC11): 22) Both men grab their scarlet cloaks to deflects some of the searing heat, reducing the damage. Despite that, the (yellow) Redbrand looks like he's about to collapse. "Get off you backside, or your not winning the bet," Rock says to Gruxx. "I got one so far and just lit this one up."
Ian, seeing that his three comrades are feeling a bit better, and that it is three on three, will redirect his efforts to assist Herr Doktor Professor. He picks up his bow at his feet while dropping his rapier, and moves up 10 feet behind the (orange) Redbrand. He aims to fire an arrow, but catches his toe on a big rock, which causes him to fire quite badly. He then ducks back in front of the building ((A-2)10).
OOC DDP, I already hid - that roll was in the post with the attacks. (I think it was a 23 to hide...)
OK
