Glynquinal looks over at Gruxx, and smiles in a way the remaining Redbrand is sure to understand, "Friend, you are going to be most helpful describing this Nothic AND showing us where this 'hideout' is. In exchange for your help we may, i stress may, allow you to live. Screw us over and my large friend here gets to have you as a plaything. Start talking."
The Redbrand starts to smirk at Glynquinal, but then looks at Herr Doktor and keeps a straight face. "Under the old mansion," he says, jerking his chin eastward at the ruins on top of the hill at the end of the road. "Head up there. You can't miss the entrance. The nothic is this ugly, big-eyed creature that lives in the crevasse. It's telepathic and creepy as ... well, it's really creepy. It eats flesh, and Glasstaff threw that dead guy's body down there for it to eat. Glasstaff treats it like a pet," the man says, wrinkling his nose in disgust.
Daran has slowly approached, clearly trying to keep from disturbing the information gathering. He stands with his hands clasped behind his back, listening to the exchange. Having spoken to him up close, Herr Doktor will easily recognize him as the half-elf from the Inn.
The Herr Doktor Professor approaches Daran and bows to him with a customary click of the heels.
"Your assistance was most timely," the Herr Doktor Professor says. "Your prayers to Chauntea were answered, and allowed my companions and I to pull through a difficult fight. We owe you a debt of gratitude -- if there is anything we can do to be of service to you and your goddess, do not hesitate to ask."
Moving closer, he says conspiratorially: "Your mastery of healing magic clearly marks you as an experienced adventurer. In the story you told earlier in the inn, you refer to one of your adventures. Might I ask which character were you in the tale? I would say the cleric, but the cleric in your story was female. Were you perchance the druid?"
Aside from satisfying his curiosity about the tale, the Herr Doktor Professor also hopes to learn what kind of spellcaster Daran is, in case he can learn Magical Secrets from the veteran adventurer.
Sheathing his short sword and scimitar, Glynquinal will retrieve the rope from his pack and bind their prisoner's tightly, as well as a short length on his ankles so he is hobbled in his movement.
Glynquinal receiving one of the short swords, shifts the scimitar around and adds it to his belt. "Many thanks to you friend. I do better with a short sword than the scimitar. How much did you find in coin?
If no one wants it, the Herr Doktor Professor will claim the suit of studded leather armor. He puts it on with obvious distaste. While appreciative of the increased protection, he is far less enthusiastic when it comes to the personal hygiene of the previous owner. He reminds himself anew (he started doing this in the goblin caves) to learn the Prestidigitation cantrip as soon as possible.
Glynquinal queries Herr Doktor, "What do you want to do with this one?" pointing to the last remaining Redbrand. "I'd like to take a look at the inn they were coming out of to see what might be there if anything."
Rock to group " here is the armor and weapons, so who won the bet, Grux or me!"
Looking at the group, then to the Redbrand,
"Dealing death makes one hungry and thirsty , let's eat unless you want me to fry this one up like the wolf, HDP you should tell that tale to our gust here, so he knows what I do to things that try to kill me!"
With and hungry look at the Redband

OOC: Thanks, DDP. I'll keep the Inspiration Point.
"Where is this hideout," the Herr Doktor Professor asks the prisoner. "And what is a nothic?"
Gruxx winks and smiles at the Redbrand for Glynquinal.
Rock will join with the rest
"Hey Grux got some use leather armor if you want it"
Glynquinal asks Rock , "Anything more useful than this scimitar? I'd much prefer a short sword, but in a pinch I've had to use the scimitar instead."
Wondering about the old man they saw join the fray Glynquinal asks the three close by, "Who was that old guy that jumped in to help us?"
The Redbrand starts to smirk at Glynquinal, but then looks at Herr Doktor and keeps a straight face. Rock to Glyn " Yes there is this short sword as well, it might work well for the stabie stab"
Rock to group "got some coinage as well"
Rock to Redbrand, "Who and what is Glasstaff?
To Grux I have a nice head for you if you still want to keep play things
Rock to all, " Anyone else got the munchies?, looking the redbrand up and down, with his best barb grin and licking his lips!

OOC - if I read DDPs message correctly, there was a shortsword and studded leather armor on each redbrand, and then the money was just a total.
Ian says I would like one of those studded leather pieces as well. Every little bit helps.
To Rock You can keep the money - I'd say you have earned it!
