The Herr Doktor Professor then hurls magical insults at the wolf that Ian wounded: "Three little pigs were a match for one big bad wolf, but three big bad wolves are no match for a lone elf!"
Action: Cast Vicious Mockery at the wounded wolf. If it fails its save, it will take 1 damage and will have disadvantage on its next attack.
Realizing that moving away from the wolf will draw an attack from it, the Herr Doktor Professor moves around it, hoping to leave an opening for his allies to attack it.
Move: To avoid an attack of opportunity, he moves to G6, then G7. That's the end of my turn.
OOC (NO idea what's going on with the above post suggesting manipulated dice results. I put in the equation one time and posted it. Didn't try to edit it either by adding sneak attack damage.)

Gruxx, we still need your turn. Please try to ignore Glynquinal's posts if you can. This request might be too late since you're going to read this AFTER his. :) I will say this: If you're planning to move to H6, go ahead, and Glynquinal will need to alter his post since your initiative is higher than his. A reminder to everyone: It's good to put preposts in a spoiler with a warning to readers that it's a prepost so it doesn't affect what they do if they're supposed to go before you.
A couple notes:
First of all, good use of healing word, Herr Doktor! Ian is back in the game lickity split (you're prone, though, Ian).
Rules about using two spells per turn: You can only do it if one of them is a cantrip. Herr Doktor did this, so he didn't break any rules. Good job again!
Moving diagonally: Don't forget that you can move (and attack!) diagonally. So, for Herr Doktor to go from H6 to G7 is actually only 5 feet of movement instead of 10. I will always assume you're trying to avoid giving an enemy an AoO, so I'll work to make that happen when you give me your ending coordinates. If I can't see any way to avoid it, I'll ask if you found a way to do it or make sure you're OK with getting attacked as you move. (If you know you're going to initiate an AoO and you're OK with it, go ahead and tell me ahead of time to speed things up.)
Herr Doktor and Glynquinal, neither of you specifically said you stood up. Herr Doktor, you say you moved, so you obviously stood up, but it's still good to type it out just to have it on the post (I guess you could crawl, but that's unlikely). And Glynquinal, I know it's called misty step, but you can technically teleport while prone and arrive still prone. You need to say when you're standing up (before or after you step mistily). Prone characters attack with a melee weapon at disadvantage. Also, when attacking a prone character, melee attacks are done at advantage and ranged attacks are done at disadvantage. So, it's important when attacking or when others are attacking you that we know if you're standing or lying down.
Flanking: I honor the alternate flanking rule, meaning if a friendly character is on the direct other side of an enemy that you're attempting to make a melee attack against, you can attack with advantage. (Wolves have pack tactics, meaning they have advantage on an attack roll against a creature if at least one of the wolf’s allies is within 5 feet of the creature and the ally isn’t incapacitated.) So, Glynquinal (or Gruxx), if you move to I7, you will have flanking advantage against Red because Herr Doktor is at G7. Or (now that Ian isn't incapacitated anymore), M4 would flank Yellow, M6 would flank Green, and K8 would flank Orange. Know that I will allow enemies to do this to you as well.
Orange's vicious mockery wisdom save (need 13): 9
Another compliment: Herr Doktor, I like your poetry. It's a nice touch. I will say it isn't at all necessary, but as long as you're able to keep it up comfortably, it will definitely add to the campaign.
Glynquinal, I have NO idea how you could have manipulated dice rolls when you haven't edited the post. I'm guessing it's a DDB glitch. You do get to roll for sneak attack, so do that at some point. Oh, and I think using misty step to appear right by the enemy to help out Herr Doktor is great.
This is the map after Herr Doktor's turn (before Gruxx and Glynquinal):
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OOC (I thought about that after I wrote the post. I did of course stand up before Misty Step, but I should have put that in writing to be very specific).
Gruxx jumps to his feet, runs east, and swings with his glaive at the (yellow) wolf. In his haste to aid his friend, he swings a little too high, and the wolf is able to duck below his attack. Glynquinal, hearing Ian's cry, gets to his feet, and peering over the wagon, is enveloped by a cloud of silvery mist. A second cloud of silvery mist appears beside Herr Doktor, and when it clears, the elf is standing there with his shortsword drawn. He swings, coming down on the surprised (red) wolf's neck, leaving a most grievous wound, but the wolf is still on its last leg.
Round 2: Ian (prone), Black, Blue, Green, Orange (wounded), Red (wounded), Yellow, Herr Doktor, Gruxx, Glynquinal
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ian will attempt to climb the tree and get out of reach of the wolves. He will put away his shortbow so he can do this, and will not draw it until his next turn. (I believe you said it was a strength check which is unfortunate cause Ian is -1 to strength)
OOC: Ian, you've made your roll, but let's talk about logistics. If you decide to NOT try to climb, I won't hold you to it. Especially because looking at a map from a bird's eye can sometimes be subjective. The trunk of the tree is in the center of the orange square, which is behind the yellow and green wolves. To get to it, there's no way to avoid giving two different wolves an AoO. And if you just run away from where you are, you'll give all three an AoO. Really, your best bet is to stand and then to either attack or take the dodge action. Taking the dodge action gives any attackers a disadvantage (which would cancel out their pack advantage and make attacks from them regular rolls). Also, if you attempt to climb and cannot, it's kind of up to me (the DM) to determine if you've used any movement when attempting to climb. With such a low roll, I would rule that you had not and could continue moving with the remainder of your movement.
OOC: Ian, just making sure you understand that moving to "the other side of Gruxx" means all three wolves will get a chance to hit you. If you take the dodge action, it will cancel the wolves' pack tactics, which would normally give them advantage (wolves attack with advantage if an ally is within 5 feet of the target), and change each attack of opportunity to normal (no advantage or disadvantage). Is that what you want to do?
OOC: I hate to continue to delay this, but we are learning, and I want to make sure you have all of the information when making your decision. When being attacked, the attack is rolled only against your AC, which is 14. A wolf's melee attack is +4 (you generally won't know this about your enemies ahead of time, but, again, we're learning), so I only have to roll a 10 or higher to hit you (when attacking, the AC only deflects if the attack roll is LOWER than the AC — a tie goes to the attacker). That's a 55% chance. From each wolf.
The advantage on Dex saves probably won't help against the wolves' opportunity attacks, but if the orange wolf failed its save against Vicious Mockery, then it should have disadvantage on its attack against Ian.
Anyway, the Herr Doktor Professor still has one spell slot left: if he's still up after the wolves attack, he can use Healing Word again on anyone critically injured, or else drop a Faerie Fire or Sleep to give the barbarian and rogues advantage against the wolves.
DDP, thank you for the help. You are right, we are learning. No matter what I do, I have a feeling I am going to be attacked by all three wolves. The percentages and numbers you gave make sense. Time to rewind again.

Glynquinal's turn
Bonus action - Cast Misty Step to h6 to lend aid to Herr Doktor
Action - strike at the Red wolf with the short sword
Short sword to hit 17
Movement - remain shoulder to shoulder with Herr Doktor
Glynquinal damage to wolf (Red) from short sword:
Damage for short sword 6

OOC (I thought about that after I wrote the post. I did of course stand up before Misty Step, but I should have put that in writing to be very specific).
Sneak attack damage 3
Gruxx will stand up from prone draw his Glaive and move to K,4.
Gruxx will attack Wolf(Yellow Circle) at L,5 with his Glaive
"TEMPUS!" Gruxx shouts!
Attack: 11 Damage: 10
Glynquinal is at G6.
Total in attack damage and sneak attack damage to wolf (Red) at H7 is 9 damage. 6 regular damage, and 3 sneak attack damage.
Gruxx jumps to his feet, runs east, and swings with his glaive at the (yellow) wolf. In his haste to aid his friend, he swings a little too high, and the wolf is able to duck below his attack. Strength: 8
OOC: since that failed, is my turn over, or am I allowed to use my movement to run away? (And .I guess if I run away, I will provoke and AoO?)
Gruxx is angered at his failure. So angry in fact that Gruxx would like to rage.
"TEMPUS!", Gruxx shouts as he brings up the Glaive to attempt to arc it down upon the (Yellow) Wolf he previously missed.
Attack: 18 Slashing Damage: 14

Ian will stand up, and attempt to Dodge as he retreats to the other side of Gruxx, so that the big guy is between Ian and the wolves.
(attack rolls are at a disadvantage and my dex saves get advantage)

I think so, yes. I get advantage on my Dex saves, so hopefully that will help. 🤞
