Ian is still pondering the cloak he found, and the crates with the same symbol...he concentrates to see if he can remember any more details about the symbol, the crates, or the cloak (History: 20)

Gruxx tucks the potion away.
"Let's hope we don't need it anytime soon." says Gruxx
"I can get us back. Or at least get us a decent ways away from here. Come. Let me know if you need me to carry you Gundren." says Gruxx
Gruxx will lead the group back out the way they came. He will look up to the sky searching for the sun and try to use his directions to lead them toward Phandalin.
Ian, you remember the tribe your family was part of when you were younger using a couple different tribal symbols to identify themselves when dealing with outsiders. They marked exported goods, primarily. You don't remember the particulars (you probably didn't care enough at that age to ask why), but you remember the symbol changing twice while you were still there. The one on the crates and cloak was the symbol the tribe was using when your family left the woods. It is a stylized version of the elven glyph for air.
You left at first light from the Triboar Trail/Phandalin Road intersection and walked a half day's journey to the castle. You've probably been at the castle 30 minutes to an hour.
OOC - DDP it looks like a previous post has Gruxx rolling survival to try and lead the group back towards Phandalin.
Ian, as they move out of the castle, ponders what he has discovered in the castle.
HDP, as long as he doesnt sense any danger, will play a soft song on his instrument to keep Gundren at ease, since he has just been through a terrible ordeal.
What is the party order? Gruxx is leading the group, HDP is playing a tune, Gundren's just trying to stay on his feet. What are Glyn, Ian and Rock doing?
Walking through the trees, the party is coming to realize it's going to get dark sooner under the canopy. While darkness isn't as much of a hindrance to the elves, half-elf and dwarf, the human and dragonborn are going to start tripping over things without the aid of a light source, and then how much longer should you travel that way, anyway. They start making comments about camp and thinking about supper. Suddenly, there's a crash to the east. Rock, Ian and Glynquinal stop immediately, each reaching out and grabbing their buddy to get their attention. There is definitely something coming through the trees and underbrush. It sounds like it's coming your way. Gundren utters an "Oh my. What do you think it is? It sounds big."
To Rock, "Here Rock. You need to see what is going on out there."
Upon hearing the large crashing sound, and realizing some of his friends are at a disadvantage in the dark. Glynquinal will pull from his component pouch some phosphorescent moss, and recast Light on a dagger to give to Rock to help shed some light on the situation.

Ian, you climb up tree nearby and sit six feet off the ground. While it will make you a less likely target, a medium creature will be able to hit you with a weapon from the ground. You could climb higher, but ...
As everyone prepares for whatever comes next, an ogre breaks through a particularly big mound of brush only 30 feet away. As soon as it sees you, it roars in anger and charges forward.
DM rollz: 2 Ogre goes first!
The creature swings its giant, gnarly club at (Glyn=1, Gruxx=2, Rock=3: 1) Gruxx. (greatclub attack: 10, damage: 12 bludgeoning damage) The barbarian isn't able to get out of the way, and takes a hit. Not having rested after the fight in the castle, he's really beginning to wish they had stopped to rest. (12/32 hp)
All players may post in any order! Rock, you may attack with both the handaxe (you don't have a battle axe) and the dagger since they are both light weapons. Your second attack will not add your damage modifier, though (it'll be just a straight damage roll). The second attack is your bonus action.
Glynquinal seeing the large foe come crashing out of the brush quickly pulls out his short swords, hoping to help his friends make short work of the creature. He qill maneuver behind f able and if not do the best he can.
Short sword 1 to hit 18
Damage for short sword 1 4
Short sword 2 to hit 10
Damage for short sword 2 3

Glynquinal to Gundren, "How far do you think you can go before we have to stop?"
If needed I will help carry Gundern
OOC - Glyn, I feel like thats code for "DM, what time is it"...😀

Glyn will trail slightly behind the rest, keeping an eye on their backside to make sure nobody comes sneaking in on them from the rear.
Rock will stay by Gundern and help if needed

Ian will be up with Gruxx. As G-man guides, Ian will keep an eye out for danger and traps.

Gruxx moves to the front facing what's coming.
"Keep Gundren behind us and prepare for battle." says Gruxx.
Gruxx has his glaive at the ready.
Ian will scamper up the nearest tree, attempting to take some sort of overwatch position and gain some more insight into the situation.
(Ian is not very strong, but he is pretty dextrous...can I use acrobatics to climb a tree?? 6)
HDP will try to hide with Gundren in some overgrowth.

If Ian cant use acrobatics, that mod would be -1 for athletics instead of +3 for acrobatics
