As Glynquinal steps into the small barracks, the man limps backward and sits hard on one of the cots. He watches warily as Gruxx and Rock enter as well. Another scream escapes him as Rock roughly extracts his weapon from the man's leg. A giant spurt of blood hits the dragonborn in the stomach. The Redbrand leans back against the wall holding his leg and groaning. "His workshop is through the secret passage on the other side of the fountain," the man says through gritted teeth. "He's probably there."
Once Glynquinal reenters the room with the fountain and gets his bearings, he realizes they entered that room THROUGH the secret passage on the other side of the fountain.

Ian will accompany Glynquenal in search of the secret passageway
Not that it matters now, but the Redbrand was being truthful.
Glynquinal and Ian climb the stairs to the upper landing and open the eastern door. They find another staircase leading up. As far as they can tell from the bottom of the stairs, the flight will take them outside.
Rock goes through the north door and down the short hall. It opens into a much larger, 10-foot wide by 40-foot long hall. Thick dust covers the flagstones of this somber hallway. The walls are decorated with faux columns every 10 feet, and the double doors at the west end of the hall are sheathed in copper plate, now green with age. A relief carving of a mournful angel graces the doors. Not to be distracted by decorations, the dragonborn uses his keen eyes to investigate the hallway. He is rewarded when he suspects a trap has been laid in the center. He thinks some of the tiles will give way if enough weight is applied.
Seeing the path lead to what appears to be up and out, Glynquinal retraces his steps, and passes through the northern door to join Rock to see what he's found.
To Rock Glynquinal says, "Well, it looks like this place hasn't been used in a while."

Thinking about it for a minute, Glynquinal wonders, "What would happen if one of the redbrand bodies was thrown onto the section that looks trapped?"
Going back to the three fallen bodies, Glynquinal searches them, then starts the process of dragging the smallest one to the room with the trap in the floor.
Searching the three Redbrand bodies, Glynquinal finds the first has 16 sp and 7 gp; the second, 12 sp and 5 gp; and the third, 15 ep and two garnets. The rogue then fireman carries the smallest of the three into the hallway. Rock shows him where the suspicious tiles are, and Glynquinal heaves the body onto those tiles. The body falls through the floor, taking two tiles down with him. The group looks through the hole into a very deep pit. They can see that a couple more tiles beyond are just as dangerous as the two that fell. There is a ledge on both sides of the pit the group can use to bypass the pit.
OOC: Anyone attempting to use one of the ledges to cross needs to make an acrobatics check.

Glynquinal, feeling bold, and curious what is on the other side that would cause someone to go to the trouble of laying a trap. working his way along the soulth side of the trap he will try to cross on the ledge.

If he is successful, he will pass a rope to Rock on the other side to make it easier for anyone else to cross that wants to take a look
